My Mom was a MacGillivry. We would visit my Aunt on Heelan St by the church. One of my Uncles had a soda fountain at the top of Plummer Av ( I always liked visiting him) Even though I was born and brought up in Boston we always summered in Nova Scotia 6 weeks in New Waterford and 2 weeks in Advocate Harbor Cape Breton has always felt like home to me, 5 years ago I took my wife and daughters to Cape Breton as we crossed the causeway they remarked how a feeling of home came over them. Its the truth! Laura was already gone when mom was an adult, and she lost contact with her half sisters.. She died of A brain tumor( Glioblastoma Multiforme) in 2002..I still today try to search for family..Deborah McKenna.
