| Comments: | Dear Mr. Joseph Smith, I defnitely agree with you about the hairless Chinese Crested being a "HAIRLESS" dog. They should not have such extreme Crests down to their withers with these so called "shawls". To me shaving a hairless dog defeats the purpose of having a hairless dog. I have been breeding true hairless Cresteds since 1978......not quite as long as you have <vbg>. I appreciate seeing true hairless dogs such as you have on your website. I believe there are very few breeders today promoting the true hairless dogs and for that I am very sad. The true hairless dogs need to be perserved for what they should be not some "man made" breed that needs to be shaved. Thank you for breeding to the standard. | Comments: | Hi in texas, I'm glad to see that there are others in the crestie world that feel the "rest" are breeding for glamour ,not conformation. I have a 2year old crestie bitch who has no hair on her body and enough to get by in the ring, and she is only 4pts off her title(100pts) here in Australia. The feel of her skin is like a babys bottom, and the others do not compare with the sensation of her. Tell me, how often do you go back to a P/p to eliminate the fatal gene?
