I have to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your site. There was a time, perhaps nearly 10 years ago that there were so many personal zoo websites on the 'net that they were as common as trees in the forest. No longer is this true. parallel my own history. I grew up in the late 40's/early 50's on a small farm outside of Portland Oregon. Not so many animals about though and my foster parents moved to Seattle just before I entered puberty so my zoo awakening had to take place on a not deserted enough beach with a strange male German Shepard. I'm sure that stories still circulate amongst the natives about a hot night in July one night in 1962. |
