| Comments: | It is quite unlike me to sign a guestbook but after I read your grammar page I knew I had to. I am not a perfect writer BUT I am completely crazy about pronunciation! My kids hate that I correct them daily! I can't stand it when my husband says "punkin". (he's not talking about a cute baby but an actual pumpkin) I have heard other children say "gots ta" a lot. It seems that an ignorant way of speaking is very trendy these days. I'm not neurotic about any of this. I really agree with you that bad grammar (spoken or written) can lead people to believe that you are not smart. So, even if you aren't very smart but you write and talk normally then you are already ahead of the game! Wow, that felt good! I needed that...... |

| Comments: | I really enjoyed reading the grammar section, and all of the additional comments by other readers. I love grammar, and appreciate those people who understand the importance of adhering to the rules. They are there for a reason. I enjoyed my grammar class at California State University Los Angeles. As an older student, I was absolutely horrified that most of the students didn't have a clue regarding grammar rules. There are lots of grammar sites online that offer great tips, exercises, and easy explanations. What really disturbed me more than anything was my fellow English major friends planning to be teachers who couldn't care less about learning and mastering grammar rules. As far as they are concerned, learning grammar is just a waste of time. I tend to cringe when they send their poorly written e-mails. I also study Italian and French, which means I am constantly learning grammar in all three languages (English, Italian, and French).

| Comments: | I have been checking out your site for almost 4 years now. I was a newbie to babywearing. When my daughter was born, I couldn't afford to purchase a sling so I decided to make my own. I came to your site, & have been coming back ever since. My favorite is the no sew ring sling.I didn't go anywhere without it. it was small enough to fit in the diaper bag when not in use.My husband was also able to use it & he is not a small guy.I just used a longer piece of fabric so we could both use it. When i went back to work my Mom would bring the sling with my Daughter to my work so I could nurse her on my breaks & lunches. It made nursing discreet while in public places. as she got older she liked the satin on her blanket, I bought some blanket binding & sewed it to the tail side. Then all I had to bring was the sling and could leave the blanket at home. I carried my daughter till just a few months ago. I have to say i miss it. Thank you so much for your information, I will continue to inform my friends about your site since it was so helpful to my family!!! |

Thanks for the instructions, very easy to follow even for a novice such as myself! |

| Comments: | Hello. I have had your page bookmarked for sometime before I had my son. I wanted to make a sling, but didn't find time until he was around 9 mo, due to various projects and full time learning to be a first time mom. I made mine with brown denim with a pink and brown ribbon. The only issue I've had with it is, when I load the rings, my denim turns right side in, and you can no longer see the ribbon I put on the bottom. Is there anyway to load the rings, see the right side, and still have it functional. When I tried to flip the fabric so I could see the trim, it wouldn't pull through the rings. I don't want to cut the end off and sew it back, which would work for the effect I want, but would weaken the whole sling at a stress point. If I have to just "deal with it" I can, but I would like it to look like I planned. Otherwise, I love it. It's sturdy, and holds my active 12 mo. old well, for as long as he puts up with it. I would really appreciate it if you would get back to me at safezone14@yahoo.com.

| Comments: | Thank you for your awesome patterns! I made myself a mei tai from your "Frankencozy" pattern, after adjusting for my body, and I love, love, love it. I used a repurposed shirt that had beautiful fabric but an unflattering cut, so I never wore it. Now it is a beautiful carrier I use every day! My son is 13 months old and too heavy to "sling" for long! Our Maya wrap has served us well through two babies, but the Asian carrier makes it *really* comfortable to wear a toddler. I never figured out how to comfortably wear a baby on my back with the Maya wrap; I always seemed to give myself a plugged duct, so I stopped trying. With the mei tai, the baby feels so secure on my back, and although I didn't realize this was possible he'll happily ride on my back while I work (today, for example, making laundry detergent, which takes lots of stirring). So thank you for your awesome variety of easy-to-follow patterns! I'm now working on one (a gift!!) for a friend's newborn.

| Comments: | I absolutely love this site! I was introduced to it by an employee at a local fabric store when I was looking to make a baby sling (I picked the No-Sew Ring Sling). I also used the baby mobile patterns, which are great. Thank you so much for sharing all of these wonderful ideas!!!
