| Comments: | I am so sorry that this happened. some people just don't realize how hard it is for many to get over tragic things like this! I can very much understand how many people felt after the school shooting. Since 1997 I have lost a total of 26 people to some kinda of death. Out of them all i lost 4 to shootings.
Well what ever over come them to do such a harsh and cruel way to say something which they could have picked a better way to talk about it instead of shooting inosent people. My schools sociology class we are doing a silent protest( hate crimes) I picked cassie because i feel that the reason she was killed was hit hard. There are many people who believe in god but wouldn't have been so direct and just say "yes". i am glad she out and just said that but there was no reason for her to die. WE need more people like cassie in this world, and less people who want to kill others for what they believe in! son-11), came to CO. for vacation the summer of 1999. During that vacation, we wanted to take the time to come to Columbine H.S. to pay our respects to the victims. There were many memorials on the fence behind the school. We left something we wrote and placed on the fence, also. It was very sad for us, even though we didn't know the victims. It made my children sad to think of what happened there. I had wanted to take a cactus home, and it was the end of our vacation. I hadn't found a cactus to take home, but strangely enough, there was one lone cactus in the field behind Columbine school. We had nothing to remove it with, so my daughter took her shirt off and we pulled it up with that. It worked. I brought it home with me, so that we could always remember the needless end to young lives at Columbine High. I hope that these types of violence stop one day soon. It is a waste of human life. Not only the victims, but the perpetrator's, also. We pray for the end of these types of things. |

reason for the catastrophe: FEAR! The students were fearing each other for their differences. Why do I feel this way? It's because I was in school, and the students picked on me. I can feel the pain they had. People have had the same insecurities about others ever since man existed, but what makes this century different is the mass-production of guns that many can get their hands on. My senses tell me that if kids in schools centuries ago had guns being mass-produced, they would have done the same thing those two boys did. I am not happy that this happened, but those two boys did it for a reason, and I don't think anybody is listening to their message. Events in their lives lead up to it, so someone examine it!!! I blame everyone in that town, Littleton, CO, for what had occured. By the same token, I blame myself if someone feels awful if I insult them in some fashion. Don't ever 100% blame those two boys. We are all human, but not acting like the true humans we were supposed to be. So please include the two boys as part of the victims. |

very sad and sick...i was at school the day that happened and when i walked out of 6th period the tvs were on and i heard there was another school shooting...and then all the sudden they said "littleton Colorado" and my mind raced...."COLORADO?!?!?!" then i relized my best friend went to columbine high..and i thought OMG....i couldnt belive this.."is she ok" "WHAT IS HAPPENING" i went home that day and cried...but i am so thankful now that i know she is ok..i guess all i wanted to say is my heart goes out to all the people that columbine had an effect on and the people that were hurt in it..rest in peace |

| Comments: | I am writing in this dream book not only to send my
condolences to all the families and friends of the columbine victums and anyone who was involved but to write about a message I read from someone else in this book. From Jeff 'Meff' Wycott. I can't believe what he wrote. He is cold hearted are rude. When I heard about what had happened at Columbine it made me cry to think about all the lives that were lost. It also affected many of my fellow class mates in the same way. For Jeff to right that people should just get over it and move on is, in my opinon extremly cold hearted and very disrespectful to the family and friends that that lost someone they loved. One victum that sticks out in my mind is the teacher who died while protecting his students. Jeff why don't you try to tell his wife and children who now don't have a husband or father to get on with their lives. Anyways I think that maybe the U.S government should try a little harder to band guns before many more lives are lost. Again I would like to send my condolenses to the family and friends of the columbine victims. To the parents of the victims your children will always have a special place in my heart. |

| Comments: | I was in Social Studies class of my 8th grade year. We were
all sitting around when my music teacher came in and turned on the TV. There it was already on the news and we all started asking questions. I remember my teacher keeping her door locked at all times and keeping her cell phone with her. She was my favorite teacher and I will never forget her. I think it is amazing that the Oklahoma City Bombing and Columbine happened one day after the other. It makes you wonder if they did it on purpose the way the days are set out. I think that if you have a negative opinion about this that you should keep your opinions to your self. I don't want to say I know what the families and friends are going through. I do want to send out my love and i pray that God has touched all of you. I heard a poem once and it went something like this: Dear God, Why didn't you save those kids in Columbine High School? God replied I am not allowed on schools. That is as close as I can get to saying we need God back in school. Why can't people see that. |
