Thomas, Thank you for taking the time to talk with me when I visited you at Penland recently. I hope your future CAM work goes well. I look forward to seeing what comes of that new side of your development. You have a well concieved and executed body of wood work. I hope someday, I will be able to have put as cohesive a website as you have together. I would like to study with you, so contact me if your teaching in the future. I am touched that you got to study with Jere Osgood. You are lucky to have had him as your mentor. He is another "wood whisperer" like yourself. Kindest Regards, Adam T.

Hey Hey! Nice site, fun to look though it. Yea, I remember Milan. We eventually found a place to sleep. It might be interesting to show my woodwork on the net but my stuff still has leaves on it. Cheers, Big Brother

Hey, Thom, It's great to see so many of your designs on the web for all to enjoy. And to wonder at. And to lust after! The pieces we have evoke the same admiration they first did decades ago, and I still remember pictures of some of your early designs that caused me to wonder how your mind could differ so much from mine! May you continue to enjoy every success!

Great web siteand great work. I will be refering my students to it. I am glad you include dates on various pieces showing the history of your work. You are making it much easier to get students involved in research for our History of Furniture class.

So heartwarming to learn you're still probing, still evolving. Your influence will outlive you to grace new generations. The acrylic from 9th grade (bright rectangular solids floating with perspective on their distance) and the bicycle wheel (cut paper) remain my treasured possessions. Let me know if Wyoming woods, mountains, or plains can lure you from NJ. The high desert juniper has possibilities if you can tame it. Your Old Friend Frank

Dear Thom, I've worked to follow your wonderful career ever since the day that we met and I encouraged you as best as I could with a few commissions. Daughter Melinda cobb has your beautiful spice cabinet. Daughter Marilee wolf has your magnificant music stand. Wife Barbara and I often wonder how you are doing. Daughter Martha McGeary-Snider of Devon, PA is interested in seeing your work. Best wishes for your continued success. Clyde McGeary

Was randomly searching Arts & Crafts items on the internet when I suddenly decided to do a Thom Hucker search...such a coincidence considering the content of the previous e-mail from Leigh! My father, Clyde McGeary, had you make a "spice cabinet" for me in the early 70's. I get compliments on it all of the time. My parents just celebrated their 50th anniversary...doesn't time fly? Your pieces, however, are timeless. All the best, Mindee Cobb

Hi Thom, Have you ever spent a night wondering what ever happened to so and so? I am awed by your work. Very elegant and organic...so much evolution since the 70's when I last saw your work! I have been living in Vermont for the past 20 years. I have become a teacher and am the mother of four. Hope all is well with you.
