She was the most beautiful, obedient good natured dog you could imagine, Unfortunately she has left us now and we remember the great years enjoying her company and think of her all the time. We are the proud owner of Ribbonwood In The Wind. We know her as Bonnie, and she was born 13/9/2000. Bonnie came to us this time last year, due to very sad circumstances regarding her previous owner. She was separated from her sister, but as I already have another golden, Anzacgold Marra (Zahli) I was unable to take her as well. I just wanted to let you know Bonnie has the most beautiful nature, she has taken a long time to settle in, but I can confidently say that she is now enjoying life in our home. She is now a part of our family, and we all love her very much. Thank you for your beautiful goldens. |

I'm just enquiring if you'll have any puppies available late this year / early next year as my partner and I are looking to get a female to be a companion to our 5 month old Morris. first had a golden when I was a teenager and he lived to the ripe old age of 14 and 9 months. We currently rent a pet friendly house and are looking to stay here in Essendon for awhile. I'm 28 and spend a reasonable amount of time at home. We also take Morris to obedience school. I recently lost a dear faithful old friend Giggs. He died last week after some massive fits. I had to put him to sleep. He was dearly loved & now sorely missed by myself & my other Golden, Chloe who is >12 yrs old. She seems to be pining away after being with Giggs for all of her life & I'm also missing him dreadfully. Giggs had a great life here with us. We have a fairly large 4 bedroom home with quite a large back garden & large pool. There is a large concrete covered veranda with another deck in the sun for winter days. We live in a quiet cul de sac with nice neighbours who are very fond of my dogs, (as long as I do the Poo Patrol every night !). I've had Golden Retrievers for more than 35 years now & always have 2 at a time. Around my neighbourhood I'm known as "Tommy 2 Dogs." My dogs are very much indoor dogs & both sleep on my bed for at least an hour or two every night. My pals enjoy steaks while I eat mince ! That about sums up their lives with me. It's fair to say the house is run for their convenience. I would really like a darker coloured male & would appreciate you contacting me if you have any available. Best regards. Tom. |

| Comments: | Our beautiful girl Augie (short for Augusta) is from a long line of Ribbonwood dogs. She is the most wonderful, gentle, loving 6 year old you could hope for. Her mother Peggy (known as Belle in an earlier life) was the most incredible dog we have known. She had a wonderful life, was a marvellous mother and died aged 14 in November 2006. On Christmas day 2007 my adult sons and I took Augie to her favorite swimming spot and scattered Peggys ashes in the river where she had had so much fun right to the day before she died. |

He was from the Ribbonwood Classic breed, the most wonderful temperment, loyal to the end, obedient, a fantastic healthly dog throughout his life. He has left his mate Mac behind, who is ten, we need to find an adult dog for him. Goldens are the best, many of our friends now have this breed purely because they have seen how wonderful ours are. |

| Comments: | This is my second entry in the book but I just have to tell the world about our Goldie named George. George has been with us since Sept 03 and has etched a place in our family tree as my furry son. He has the best of both worlds. By day he gets to roam the farm paddocks chasing ducks and searching burrows for rabbits. If it is hot he strolls to the nearest dam for a dip. By night he has the run of our house and usually curls up with me taking over the bed and snoring loudly. We don't go to places where George cannot come. He has been to Tasmania on the boat and on holiday with us in Mallacoota at Merrimbula. His favorite place is on the back of the Toyota Ute where he can reign supreme. We love George with all our heart. |
