Thank you to everyone who cam along to Jive Street earlier this month - delighted you all enjoyed it. Particular thanks to Eileen and Sue for your support to the club, us and Rockin' Billy. This was one of those unfortunate circumstances where time was against Billy and he was just unable to play everyones requests. I know for a fact he will be happy to play the song if requested at a future dance (time dependent!). Also for the comments re: the friendly atmosphere that we always strive to provide at the club - we work hard to ensure everyone has a good time when they come to Melksham! Regarding Sue - we are so sorry that your night did not go as planned, but were delighted it was nothing too serious and you were able to come back and enjoy some of the night with Jive Street and all your friends. We look forward to seeing you next month firmly upright on both feet!

Why do people have to get nasty, just because they dont get their own way.I am refering to the young DJ BILLY, he is a good young lad that everyone likes.He trys to play any requests that people have,but on the Dec dance he was unable to do this due to Kingcats playing longer.The people in question should apolagise to Billy ,Rich and Geoff. They all do a great job at Melksham club,we do not want to loose this club. Also in Maggies Blue swede shoes there was a article reguarding the club, started off well ,then had remarks reguarding the style of peoples dancing.Before saying about others ,the people in question should look at them selves.

Hi Geoff and Richie, I was upset to read on your news sheet reguarding young Billy.He is a great young lad and doesnt deserve any verbal from anyone [what ever age. Yes the band did go on longer,but that is no excuse to be unkind to anyone. All of us at the club love young Billy, so the people in question should apologise . That what was written in Maggies Blue Suede shoes by a certain couple was good about the club ,until you they got to the end of their report . The xmas dance was great with The Kingcats,and to comment on peoples dancing was uncalled for.[Take a look at them selves I say.] The evening had a great feeling about it. Everyone had a good night, Dont worry Geoff and Richie I am behind you all the way.

Visited the club for the first time with a few other Teds had a great night, thought the Rhythm Aces were fantastic as usual thank the dj cockney rebel for playing us a song. Dance floor was a bit slippery but just made it more fun, travelled from Horsham, West sussex,and Reading. We will come again, will keep an eye on the gig list. Thanks Gerry

Hi there Im from N.Ireland and followed RocknRoll since the 70s have seen MATCHBOX and last year GREGGI G along with WILD came for the annual music festival.This time thers a rockabilly outfit from Liverpool coming and Greggi G who used to be in Matchbox.Brilliant stuff.have to get photos sent of myslf and at a rocknroll weekender in the Isle of MAN back in 1980.

hi guys....The Jets gig was a scream as people can see with the pics on the site i nearly died of embarrasment and i was sober!! Was nice to have a break on the 20th jan when the boy himself took over the decks `rockin billy` himself im sure he will be a great asset to the club and wish him all the luck for his future as an up and coming dj. Missed the `black stuff` of late but will be back on the decks with a pint at the club in march with the TT`S im looking forward to it all the best for now folks take care rockin regards the rebel

Hi folks. Just to say that The Pirates will be doing a one off gig in Blackpool on 10th Saturday 10th February in the Tower lounge. The room can accomodate over 1000 people so no one will be turned away, so why not come and make a weekend of it.The Kite club hosts this event and you can contact by email or through the website. I'll be staying in Bath 24-29 June, visiting from the USA, and looking for a nearby place for live R&R. Looks like Melksham is it. I'm an old geezer (saw Bill Haley, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, many others in their prime) who still enjoys the music. Hope to drop in while I'm in the neighborhood. Any info on music that week would be appreciated.
