Wonderful presentation and information about you all's church....thanks for sharing. I also wanted to thank everyone for the beautiful prayer shawls that were sent to my mother, myself, my aunt Ethel and also my dear friend/sister in CHRIST..Pam as they were and are such a comfort to each of us. Roberta has been a very special and dear virtual friend for many years now and hope that one day we can meet in person. I helped her to originally build her rag rug site, and was very happy to have done it...she really seems to enjoy her crafting and especially GOD'S work. | Comments: | The site is really wonderful. I am a Presbyterian, also. My family were among the 11 families that started the Presbyterian Church in Henderson, NV, where I grew up. We met in a multi-purpose room, and for years we were a very small congregation. We built our new church and although I was only 10 or so, I spent many nights helping my dad string the wire for the electrical system and I plastered more wall board than I care to remember. My family moved away, and I lost track of the church. When I returned many
years later I was overjoyed to see that the church is thriving. However, I cannot enter that sanctuary without thinking of the long hours we all put in to build that church. It looks like the Duncannon Presbyterian Church has been around a little longer than the one in Henderson, but I am delighted to read of its ministries. |
