It been a little while, but we certainly had an amazing time at Ladies Night on Wolfe Island last Saturday, thanks to James and the gang at the Wolfe Island Pub & Pizzeria. Your voice was outstanding and your moves...well I don’t think we should go there. The ladies could not believe their ears or their eyes for that matter...they were absolutely blown away at your talent and couldn’t seem to get enough. I’ve gotta say Shawn, you’re a pretty brave guy! You come out on stage in a tight white jumpsuit in the midst of 40 women on an island that you can only get to by ferry or helicopter. WOW!! We know you got home safe and sound though, because we got to see you again at the Walkley Bowling Lanes on Sunday afternoon in honour of Autistic Kids...you’ve been doing this for a long time....6 years I think! It’s very commendable and a great thing to do for the kids every year. We are looking forward to the Rockin’ for Risk Show at Algonquin College. Take care and stay safe till we see you again! Your performance was definitely out of this world. There’s no doubt that Elvis must have been watching you from Heaven and thinking “That’s my Boy”. While we are not able to attend the ELVIS FESTIVAL,we are hoping to see you perform sometime in the near future. My wife and I are avid ELVIS fans and were fortunate to visit Graceland twice in 1970 & 1974. While we just missed seeing ELVIS in '74 we got to spend some time with Vester Presley,Elvis' uncle on each occasion. According to Vester, Elvis had already left for Tuskaloosa for a show. Strangely,however,there was an entaroge of 8 vehicles parked in front of the house. There was some excitement that just maybe,he might still be there. First saw ELVIS on three Dorsey shows around 1956. Went to Handford Studios in Renfrew trying to get an Elvis record.The clerk hadn't yet heard of Elvis Presley. That soon changed as you can imagine. Your show at the Canal, Railway & Chocolate Festival in Smiths Falls last Saturday was in a word, ASTOUNDING. It’s been a long time (3 months and 7 days) since your last show. We’ve missed you and were definitely ready to see you perform again. You were absolutely incredible and we want you to know how much we appreciate you. Smiths Falls loves you and it showed by the number of people that came to hear you sing and never left the grounds until long after your show was over. This show was bitter sweet to say the least because of the fact that our best friends, Linda and Ken, were moving to Amherstburg (near Windsor), and it will be a long time before we see them again. The shows will never be the same without them. We will miss them terribly, but at the same time we wish them the very best. Brenda was very kind to let us into the hall early and we’d like to thank her for that. Although a lot of the tables were reserved, I think we had one of the best seats, just because we had a clear view of the stage…..and you know how important that is because of all the pictures we take while you are on stage. The nice thing is that when you’re not performing, you and Krissy sit with us whenever you can. When you started to sing from behind closed doors, even we took a double take. I know you’ve probably heard this before, but if we didn’t know better, we would have sworn it was Elvis himself. You took our breath away when you walked through those doors dressed in that white dinner jacket. It’s gorgeous Shawn, and suits you so well. There were a lot of people at the show who had never seen you perform before, and the looks on their faces was priceless. I know everyone had a great time. The Christmas and gospel songs started the holiday season off just right Shawn, thank you. Your second set was just as mesmerizing. Watching you on stage is like watching Elvis. So I was surprised when I finally saw a poster of you without your blond hair. I did a double check and then I showed my husband and children a picture of you from high school. You look the same as you did in school. Must be nice, lucky you:-). I have since been checking the net from time to time, but had yet to find your official website and trying to catch one of your shows. I guess aside from us being in the same classes together (Mr. Hawley, Gibson and Valentine,etc) we had also the love of Elvis music. If I had only known, maybe I wouldn't have been so painfully shy to strike up a conversation with you outside of the class room. We mostly talked in class, regarding the subject's we were working on of course and a few jokes. It's nice to have one of our own as an Elvis personator and that you still perform in our hometown. I can't wait to see you perform. I have also passed the torch down to my boys, my love of Elvis, his music, movies etc... I can't wait until they can see you perform too. Some people in my family have seen you perform, and have said that you are absolutely amazing. The little bits that I get to see and or hear from the news and this site, you sound fantastic. | Comments: | Hi Shawn, We just wanted to thank you and Krissy from the bottom of our hearts for inviting us to join you on your vacation to Memphis and Tupelo. We cannot tell you how much we enjoyed the trip. We were aware that you knew a lot about Elvis’ life, but we didn’t realize just how much until this trip. The drive down was the most fun I think we’ve all had in a long time…..and you drove all the way too. Even though it took us a little over 24 hours to get there, you never seemed to tire of listening to us laugh and joke around…and I’m sure with six of us in the van, it may have gotten a little loud at times. You, Krissy and I had been to Graceland before, but to see the reaction from Linda, Teri and Ken when we arrived in Memphis was priceless and very emotional. Once we arrived and checked in at the Heartbreak Hotel and got to our rooms, we just couldn’t wait to start our tour. We picked up our VIP passes (which allowed us to tour Graceland, Elvis’ car museum, airplanes, Sincerely Yours and Elvis After Dark as many times that day as we wanted to). During the four days that we were in Memphis you took us to places that we’d always heard about but never thought we would ever see. Places like the homes that Elvis bought for Vernon & Dee and for some of the guys in the Memphis Mafia., where Pricilla went to school, where Elvis used to eat, and you even took us to the cemetery and showed us where Jesse’s grave was . Shawn, you are absolutely amazing. You even showed us the home of Jerry Lee Lewis. There was so much more, but there’s no way I can put it all here. Then you took us to Tupelo. How amazing that was. We were there for three days and during that time you took us to the house that Elvis was born in, where he went to school, where he went to church, where he and his friends hung out after school and even took us to the library where he got his first library card. Again you took us to so many places it’s impossible to name them all here. Enough to say it’s a trip we will never ever forget. To top it all off, before we left Tupelo, you introduced us to Sonny West, one of Elvis’ body guards. He was such a gentleman and never tired of sitting with us and telling us about his time with Elvis. What an interesting person he is. We could have stayed and listened to him for days. All in all Shawn, it was an absolutely fantastic trip and I’m finding it very hard to find the right words to tell you how much fun we had and how much we appreciate this wonderful experience. When Brother Bob asked the question “How many of you have never seen Shawn perform?” it still amazes me to see so many hands raised, but on the other hand I can’t wait to see the look on their faces when you start to sing. That first set was absolutely amazing and blew us all away. Those who had not seen you before, I’m sure were definitely not prepared to see you in that gorgeous powder blue suit in the second set. When I looked around to check out some of the expressions I was not at all surprised at what I saw. Some of them were in awe and others in total disbelief that we have such an unbelievably talented “Elvis Tribute Artist” in our very own city. Thanks, Shawn for just being you and for sharing your wonderful talent with so many of us. And thank you for the honorable mention during your performance. We are so glad to be a part of your fan club and to help promote you in any way we can. Heaven knows that no one deserves the recognition more than you do. Thank you Brother Bob. | Comments: | Hey Shawn, As usual you were absolutely amazing at the Kanata Legion on Saturday, April 21st. We all had such a wonderful time. We’re just sorry that Krissy was not able to make it because we really miss her when she isn’t at one of your shows. The dinner was fabulous and the company at our table was great. I wish you could have been there when all three Shawnteers won an Elvis BBQ apron in one of the draws. Talk about having luck on our side that night. Once the dinner was over, it was time for the main event……YOU. Shawn what a performance you put on. That powder blue suit looks so fabulous on you. Amazingly enough there were some ladies who had not heard you sing before. We know how much of a treat they were about to experience. And Shawn, as always you did not disappoint them. Your entrance was awesome and we always get such a surge of pride when we see the looks of amazement on the faces of those who are new to your magic. You bring such happiness to so many people. We had to make sure we got the best seat in the house. And we did. It was so wonderful to see you perform again after what seemed like forever. Your performance was absolutely amazing. Even though you were on stage for such a short time, it was well worth the wait. Brother Bob kept us well entertained until it was time for you to come on stage. | Comments: | Hi Shawn, What an absolutely amazing show at the Rideau Carleton Raceway last weekend. Thank you so much. Friday night was out of this world. Watching people come around the corner, wondering who that guy was who was singing his heart out and then to see their faces light up with such big smiles when they saw you, just made our hearts soar. Shawn, it was great to see you in LEATHER again. You looked fantastic. I'm just sorry that we can't take pictures in the casino, cause there were some pretty awesome moves going on during your performance that would have been nice to have in print. We thought it couldn't get much better, but then along came Saturday and you proved us wrong. Shawn, please tell me where you get all the energy. That show was the most powerful one yet. Don't get me wrong, you always give the audience more than what they expected, but WOW, what a show. We truly enjoyed the "Request Set". That was a lot of fun. We were having such a wonderful time, we didn't want it to end.....but then again, we never want your shows to end. We're always so glad when Krissy comes to the shows with you and we really miss her when she can't be there. Thanks to Dave for all the wonderful music and to Steve for bringing all the CD's and of course especially to you for bringing everything together, cause without you there'd be no point, now would there? We've been looking forward to theis Valentine's Day dance at the Knights of Columbus in Vanier since last February. What an awesome night. Shawn, we can never express enough how much we appreciate your amazing talent. You outdid yourself again. The first set was out of this world and then when you came out in that beautiful blue suit and the cape...well, we all lost it again. Thank you so much for an amazing performance. The AM/FM Band were fantastic. We had'nt seen them in a while and it's always great to listen to them as well as watch them play. Gerry can do some amazing thing with that guitar of his. Thanks guys. We all had such a good time. We know you need and definitely deserve a break, but we really, really missed you over the holidays.
