Comments:Good day from Australia.
I just love your pictures of the older prism designs and one offs that you have or have had.
I actually had an Elixer made up a few years ago by Prism in the rainbow materail colour scheme similar to the one that you have pictured.
Are you still flying?
If you ever come across a newish vapor in your travels, I'd be very interested.
Have a great weekend,
Cheers,

Comments:Hi there! Boy I hope you can help. My pops is a kite freak, and I really would like to get him 1 or 2 as a gift for being my best man in wedding, and helping pay for my wedding. He used to have a Prism Vapor, but it got lost on an airplane about 2 years ago. Do you have any Vapors you might be willing to part with? I do know that the Vapor was far and away his fav because he could fly it with no wind and little running around. Let me know your thoughts. I looked at your list, but am hoping and praying that you might be willing to part with a Vapor or have a line on one for sale.

Thanks for your time, and I'm begging and pleading with you.

Great site! and great work on the prism site too. I am new to the sport kites and bought a Prism Quantum a month ago. I am hooked! I am already thinking about about my next kite. I am looking for an affordable zero or very low wind trick kite, (my Quantum does fine in High wind but poor in tricks and low wind)do you have any suggestions? Well keep up the good work I am looking forward to when this site is completed!

Comments:Hi! Love your site...

I have just two stunt kites... the storebought one I learned on (what a clunker!) and a beautiful one custom made by a fellow in Atlanta around 1998.

The bad new is that I broke the last 3" off the wingtip, and I'd like to have a whole new spar put in, but the way the lines are wrapped and tied at the wingtip is so complicated I could never duplicate it.

The guys' business card read "R. Kites", and you mention a Mark Reed on you site. Would this be him? If not, do you know this Atlanta kitemaker or how to find him? I live near Middlesboro, KY now but travel to Atlanta frequently.

Alternately, could I repair a tapered spar (3" from the little end) with a glued insert? Seems like that would ruin the balance.

I'd appreciate any help you can provide...

Thanks!

i love flyin' kites, right now im getting into power kiting. i have been flying my manager's 4.9 flexifoil "Blade II" lately and its a kick. i have been getting 15 feet of air with an 18 mph wind with it. he is getting his buggy fixed so im gonna get into that jive also. my best friend who works at the other kite shop owned by Bill in Ilwaco also kite boards, i love it. these kinds of kiting are really pushing the sport. i recently have been learning more new tricks on the other kites and its very exciting. i love your little sight you have. may the winds look down on you.

I would like to ask you whether or not you could send me a larger photo of the "Sunset in Brittany: Patrice with a Vapor in near zero wind" on http://www.prismkites.com/new-site/products.htm. It's the most beautifull kite photo i've seen.. The sunset and the kite making rings in the puddle of still water. It's the still and the dynimic of the photo: You feel the kite is just landed there with precision and control... I would love to have that photograph in real high quality. What I want to do with it... Expand it to 1,5 meters and and put in a frame!

I'm a furloughed airline guy, and to fill the months (and bank accounts) untill recall I'm flying for the local Beechcraft dealer. Being the only guy in the sales office with computer knowledge, I've been roped into web marketing stuff when I'm not delivering new planes. I thought I knew a little about web design untill I saw your pages. As a way to pass the time not in the air I bought a Beetle, and then a flashlight. Now my wife has to deal with me being hooked on yet another hobby, 'cause I am definitely hooked.
Sorry for the novel, all I really wanted to say was, "GREAT SITE!" dc

I've already given a big congratulations to Mr. Reed on the
success of your prismkites.com website. It is most
probably one of the best presented, fully informative
merchant website on the internet. It has been my primary
influence in getting interested (read: hooked) in kite
flying, learning about the products, and learning
technique. I've already talked to Mark about getting me a
kite for myself.
I'm also a pilot, recently, as in this summer, completing
my Commercial/Multi-Engine/Instrument Ratings. The kite is
to be my "graduation" present to myself (with the couple of
pennies I've got left on my student/pilot loans). Anyhow,
just wanted to touch base and give you some feedback. Good
luck with the flying; blue side up,

Comments:Ron that's a very nice site you have there. Flying this
stuff must be fun. You friends seem to be of long standing.

I have shockwave usually turned off and do not wait for
loadings, but did this time. Did it only to see a Site made
in Director.

Comments:I always wondered how you could produce something as amazing
as Prism's website and have such a ho-hum personal site. I
am, of course, talking about your _old_ kite site. This new
one is absolutely amazing!! The blue hyperlinks accompanied
by the little sound are an awesome touch that push it over
the top! Can't wait until the whole thing is done. The
Prism behind the scenes section is priceless.

I visit your site regulary! Just to see how many kites a
person can own ;-) I would love to have as much kites as
you have. But I do have to ride my bike to get to my flying
field. I even don't own a car!
Good flying.

Comments:Great site. I love kites, wish I could collect as many as
you, and had more time to fly them. I live in Florida,
sometimes there is not enough wind or too much rain. Maybe
I should learn to fly indoors, but there aren't any places
around here.

Thanks!

Comments:Great work, Ron! I've always been impressed with the
appearance and function of Prism's website. I've even held
it up as an example to folks at work of what could be done
with our site. Your new personal pages ran very smoothly
for me. I've been flying for almost a year (you know, that
phase where your ability to acquire 'em outpaces your
ability to fly 'em) Half of my 12 kites are Prism...clearly
the best engineered and most reliable. You and Prism are
an excellent partnership...keep it up!

Comments:Hey Ron

I love what you’re doing with your website and the Prism
Site. I live in Seattle and work with my buddy and trainer
Jim Soellner. I have many Prism kites and my favorite
indoor kite is the Wren. I hope to make Nationals this next
year 2001. This is my first year in competition and I'm
doing well (thanks for my advanced training from Jim). Your
website inspires me and I wish I had the skill to put
together one as you did. I'm the system administrator at
work but haven't had the time to start my own website. I
don't think it's hard to get started, but to put it
together the way you have takes a lot more. If you have any
pointer tips for me about web design, please email me with
them.

I hope to see you at one of the kite festivals.

Keep up the awesome work.

Absolutely great new site you've got!!!!!

Please keep up the great work!

Is it OK with you if I copy one or two of your pictures.
I'd like to use them on my website (AERIALIS-DOT-COM) to
promote yours! Spread the word, if you like!

I also really like your indoor stuff. Nice tips and tricks
for everybody. ...and very useful when the weather really
sucks (which it has done _all_ this fall).

Best Winds!
