Please disseminate to your department. Have them pass this on to any personnel in other departments in your area and beyond. On April 29,2002 Deputy David March assigned to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department - Temple Station was killed in the line of duty. Deputy March conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. During the traffic stop the suspect pulled a handgun from his waist band and shot Deputy March in the head. Deputy March is survived by his wife and 3 years old daughter. This is where we (as a law enforcement family) need your help. On April 30, 2002 "KFI 640AM - The Bill Handle Talk Show" (0550-0900) played the song "I Shot the Sheriff" before it reported the murder of Deputy March. They also criticized Deputy March's tactics without knowing all the facts of the incident. After numerous phone calls and e-mails to the shows producer ( MichelleKube@ClearChannel.com ) they said they would stop playing the song. Well, they must not have gotten the message, because 45 minutes later they played it again. Apparently this radio station just doesn't realize how big our FAMILY is. We want as many officers and deputies as possible to e-mail the producer and tell them how you feel about their insensitivity to the cold blooded killing of a Deputy Sheriff or Police Officer. Everyone THANKS for your help. Now, lets let them know how big our FAMILY is. |

weekend(may-16-20)and will say to start with one bad act reflects on the whole department. On one night a officer was writeing a ticket to a person and whild doing this a person just said horse shi_. two times I know this was not directed to the office but he said it twice. He did not say the officer was horse shi_ or anything like that all he said was horse shi_. after hearing this the officer arrested the man took him to jail. To me this was a violation of the rights the contitustion give each and every one of us. freedom of speach and I know when the officer put his hand on the bible and swore to the warranr he had to LIE. This makes all of you look bad. the officer that would do this has no place as a police officer in the USA. maybe he should go to work in Rushia. I am not saying who the officer was he will know what he done. This is just my opinion. |
