Comments:After meeting you all and sitting in back in October '05, I've been listening to the album all year. Thanks for the introduction to Old Time. I had to go to Spain, then to Ireland to get back home musically. I've been bragging that I got play with Tony Trischka, Jerry Douglas and the Rough Deal String Band all in the same day. How many folks get to say that? Thanks for having me sit in. I hope to see you over in Spain.
All the best from Madrid,
Robbie

I enjoyed it so much. Dont get much picking that good here in Liverpool. So thanks a bunch. It was a real honour.

See you again,

Can't tell you how much I enjoyed the set and the super musicianship (I can actually but it would take too long!) Looking forward to seeing y'all live sometime real soon. Thanks for the pleasure and keep pickin'!

God's blessing and long life.

Almost the entire staff of Business in the Commmunity listened to your wonderful music in the park today and loved it. Great music, good company and food. Whats not to like. So well done.
The only problem is that they are looking to do this every week and want it made a condition of employment.

Now look what you started....thats another fine mess you've got me into Tim!

Comments:Hi Tim and co: we met at the Sunny South in Hastings last year (non-player, listener)(groupy), and I was at the Friday gig in the A1 Festival last week. Really enjoyed your music again - best there I thought, and your new fiddle sounded great Tim. Missed chatting with you - had to leave at 11pm to go north.
Keep up the good music, and I intend to look you up when in Dublin next. I see you are not down to play at Sunny South this year - any reason, other than cost?

take care all and keep plucking!

Comments:Can you help, please??! We saw you at the Sweet Sunny South festival in Hastings, having been introduced to your fabulous music by Fergus Whelan at the Cobblestone in Dublin - you may remember Tom and me as the only non-musicians at the Hastings festival! We bought a CD at the Cobblestone, simply called the Rough Deal Stringband and including tracks Nelly Bly and Let Me Fall, which we sang along to in the car all round Ireland in May. We love it but it's got damaged and we want to know if we can get another copy - it's not on your mail order page. Hope you can help! All the best and a Merry Xmas to you all!

Thanks for the experience. Like your cd too! keep it up guys - hope to catch up with you again - may bring my wife over to Dublin in November!

Comments:Went to see these guys in the Cobblestone in Dublin.
They were great, even better CD, so many good tracks, I only wish the CDs of the music on this site were available too.
These guys work very well together, each instrument has a distinct (good) melody and space, a lot to listen to in each track. I love it.

I'm an old Goddard classmate of Tim's. A mutual friend directed me to this website when I asked what Tim was up to these days...I had a quick listen to some of the tracks on the site and they are excellent! Just wanted to leave word that I stopped by and that I love the tunes.

Keep it up fellas.

Comments: Hello men....I had a great time sitting with you in the Cobblestone and at the Rogers home on our last night. Any visit with the RDSB is bound to be too short and finances dictate that they are always too far between. I remember Bill walking right up as we were pitifully trying to busk Grafton St. all those years ago. The rest is history. Keep it up and hope to see you soon.

Comments:Hi Ben Bill and Tim. Seen, heard and played in sessions with you a few times at FAOTMAD events. For anybody who hasn't heard these guys, I'm not sure I've heard too many bands (anywhere!) who have so much sensitivity and sense of feel and space for the tunes / songs. I've played a number of instruments for so many years and I can honestly say that during workshops I've been positively enlightened by your philososphy / attitude to the music.

Hope to see you all soon, keep up the great work.

p.s. I've got some on-stage photos from Gainsborough last year that you might want to consider using on the pages.

cheers dougie

Has anyone else had this problem. I really wanted to hear you guys. If the key of B chases away fiddlers, what key will do the same to accordian players? This is something worth knowing.

Keep up the good work.
