Comments:Great News
- Our application to have a 2nd Team playing in the Morrants 4 Counties league was last night accepted. Many thanks to Anthony Woodhouse for making our presentation to the league committe and all the other teams from the league.
This is great news for our club which continues to go from strength to strength. The new team will help promote Turvey CC and our commitment to grass roots cricket. With a strong youth contintigent likely to make up the 2nd II team the future of cricket in Turvey looks very promising.

Cheers
Dicko

Comments:Did you know, if you put 'Turvey' through the MS Spellcheck it tells you the word is not in the dictionary and suggests 'Turkey' or 'Purvey'!? instead. The first is insulting the second is downright actionable. Where the club solicitor?

Thanks agains for the feedback. I'm afraid I cannot be held responsible for the content off the pages, I'm just accountable for the presentation.

Good idea to run a book on baby's weight but way beyond my capabilities I'm afraid !

Comments:Webmeister, well done. I thought you were impervious to the meekly put requests from mere non-techy mortals like me.
You made a mistake on the bowling figures though - Telford has dropped a place.
There is a website I sometimes use which notifies you by e-mail if there is a response to a 'dialogue' to which you have contributed. The notification also gives the URL, so you just click it and get back on to it. I'm sure you could do that here. The site also lets you know how many people are on line at the same time and allows you to set up your own discussion topic.
I want to use this website to run a book on the weight of Sarah's baby at birth [Julian's wife to those who don't know]. This is a harmless and smallscale money making venture and just one of several mini-entrepreneurial campaigns I have in mind designed to top up my pension - or pay my drinks bill - I have not decided yet.

Surely you can set up a page on this website to assist me with this?

Comments:Webmaster, I've just found out who you are! And immediately all sympathy for your terms of employment on this website evaporated. You SHOULD do this job for love [not lust]AND you have plenty of time for regular updates. It just means less time in the pub and in bed. Give my best wished to the girls - if you find time.

Comments:Hi Vince - thanks for the feedback, unfortunately the webmaster is very poorly paid (not paid!) so he gets bored updating these pages VERY quickly :-)

Comments:I found you're website very handy - I can see what my son's been up to. BUT the bowling averages don't say 'Bowling' and the League Table bunches up the columns on the right hand side. Apart from that, don't let the rain turn a possible win in to a draw - just get wet.

Comments:Roasting Scandal at Turvey Cricket Club.

Following the poor example set by professional footballers - Cricketers from Turvey CC have allegedly been involved in a "Roasting Scandal" at the Three Cranes, Turvey. Vice-Captain Julian Thompson is alleged to have had Roast Pork and Roast Beef in one sitting at the normally respectable country inn. Mr Thompson was unavailable for comment, but a club insider said " If this gets out to his missus it could end in tears".

Comments:Whilst walking my dog last sunday I noticed 6 strange men digging holes in your cricket pitch. One of them was disguised and I have my suspicions that he may have been a member of the IRA.
I understand there was an incident in a game played between yourselves and Cublington CC last year and I am concerned that it may have been them tampering with your ground.
After the strange men had left I walked around the outside of the pitch and found a stash of guns and grenades, no doubt left by the man in the balacalava.

If I were you I would be very careful next time you play at your home ground as it may be possible that the 6 stange men were laying land mines.

Regards
Mr CE Boxmoor

Comments:It has come to my attention that you may be interested in selling the land that you currently play cricket on. As the land purchasing director for Persinmon homes I would be very interested in striking a deal with you.

Therefore we would like to offer you £7m (seven million gbp) for the area known as "Stone Fields".

I look forward to hearing from you
