I consider music to be one of the most important things in cartoons. Without it, something is missing. After all, what would "Ren And Stimpy" be without its' music cues? Where would "Looney Tunes" convey its' humor without music? Heck, where would "Scooby Doo" be without it's signature theme song? In fact, in a nutshell, music "is, and always has been, a huge factor in entertainment." It's really that important. But the thing I find interesting about Sailor Moon's music is that while the majority of the cues were written for the show itself, unlike shows like "Ren and Stimpy" and "Spongebob" (there were a few original cues, but for the most part, it was non-original music), many of them were repeated over and over again. But, in a odd sort of way, it never gets old. Since the show is so varied (one episode would be dramatic, another would be comedic), the music cues are there to help the scene. After all, where would the final scene of the SMR movie be without "Moon Revenge"? Would the scene of the Soldiers coming back in episode 200 be the same without "Peace"? Would any of the slapstick humor work without the goofy cues? In my opinion, no, it's not the same. Music is there to help us convey the scene, helps the audience to fell exactly HOW the scene plays. Without it, it feels empty, like the emotion is not there, like it just's not the same. Now, I wish i could write more (like that the music is so great, I can honest picture some of the cues in other shows, heck, in some big budget movies!), but I think I got the message across on why the music was so important to Sailor Moon. In fact, Arisawa Takanori once said that he's "not at all able to make music that can be remembered so long with just my ability." I , along with other, anf you, disagree. After all, without people you, how can we find MP3 of his music and enjoy them on what they are? So, again, much much thanks for all you have done. And under group Kirari*Sailor Dream the lyric in Japanese is AIBIIMU GA KIMEWAZA which is correct but it does not mean eyebeam it means lovebeam. Ai is love in Japanese.
