My god, you've done it again. What is with you and this book writing stuff? Crawlers was fantastic, The Black Tattoo was fantastic, and I'm sure that TIM would be fantastic if I could FIND IT. (Gotta love New Jersey, the state where no one reads.) I don't understand how anyone can not love reading, when there are books as fantastic as yours. I can't wait to get my hands on a copy of your new book, and whatever's coming next.

-Hello Corrina,
Your message makes me very happy! I'm doing my best with this book writing stuff, but your kind words will help keep me going. Thank you so much. I'm particularly thrilled you got a kick out of Crawlers. :D
Re Tim, have you tried the 'Buy/Library Search' buttons on the Editions Info page of the book's website? Here's the link:
http://www.timdefenderoftheearth.com/editions.html
...I hope those help. And if you're interested in other reading recommendations, I've listed a bunch of things I love at LibraryThing. Here's my profile page, take a look-!

Meanwhile thank you again, and very best wishes to you.

Comments and/or questions:

I want to simply say that your books are amazing. I first saw a copy of The Black Tattoo back when I was a sophomore when I went touring colleges for school. The copy stood out the most for me and I instantly ran to it (yes, I literally ran to it) and picked it up. I was low on money and saw it was around $20. I went through all my money buying the book that day, and let me tell you, it was amazing. I savored it and made it last and every moment I thought, "Dang, this is one hell of a book!" I honestly loved it to pieces. I saw that a friend of mine had a copy too and we talked about the book for a very long time, and I'm not the type to either read or talk about books. I let another friend borrow the book and I never saw it again. Last year I got very active in social networking and I made a friend who happens to have also read The Black Tattoo. I saw he had a poster up on his wall and my mouth dropped. We talked about it for ages then he got his copy and showed me it was signed. It figures he won one of your competitions a while back that you had for the book. This made me want to read the book again so I instantly went online and bought another copy. I now have the book with me and I'm honestly really excited to read it again. I want to thank you for writing this amazing book and for being very creative with it all. After this book I'm going to purchase all the other ones and give them all a read. I'm sure they are "out of my age" but I really don't care. The Black Tattoo gave me something other books don't, but I don't know what it is. I wanted to contact you somehow, and after a long time, I finally found this page and it was worth it. Again, thanks for all of this and know I'll be on here again after re-reading this book and finishing all the others. Your creativity amazes me.

-Hi Ismael,
Thank you for your wonderful message! I'm thrilled and honoured and delighted that you've enjoyed my work so much, and it's very kind of you to take the time to get in touch to say so. Your encouragement is very, very much appreciated. Thanks again and best wishes to you,
Sam

Comments and/or questions:

when is my name is o coming out because i really want it.

-Hi Abby,
I'm so glad you like the sound of My Name Is O - that makes me happy! :D
It's going to be published here in the UK at the end of this coming January (2012). There are no plans for a US edition yet - possibly because it's quite a special sort of book, a novella (very short novel), written specifically for reluctant or struggling readers. But if you want to get it you should be able to order it online. If you'd like me to sign it for you, the place to order it from will be my local booksellers here in London, The Big Green Bookshop. Here's their website address:
http://www.biggreenbookshop.com/
If you tell them you'd like it signed when you order, they'll let me know, then I'll drop by the shop and sign it before it's posted out to you. Easy.
As I say, My Name Is O comes out in Jan 2012. But you can order signed copies of my other books from The Big Green Bookshop now, if you like! ;D
Anyway, hope that's helpful. Thanks for getting in touch, Abby, and best wishes to you from here in London,
Sam

Hey Sam I hate to bother you but I have a school assignment coming up and I have to write a novel, i was hoping you could give me some advice?
I understand if you don't want to.

-Hi Casey,
Thanks for getting in touch.
I can't help you directly with your work I'm afraid - I've got my hands full with my own. But I hope you might find some useful writing advice on my websites' Q&A pages. Here are the direct links:
http://www.theycrawl.com/qanda.html
http://www.timdefenderoftheearth.com/qanda.html
http://www.theblacktattoo.com/qanda.html
If you have a question that hasn't already been answered on those pages, then - as long as it's not too specific, I can't get into the details of your story - feel free to drop me another line here and I'll try to answer as best I can.
Good luck with your writing. Best wishes from London,
Sam

Flummox is my favourite favourite. It sounds very funny and I enjoy the way you say it. The way you say it is a bit like a tongue twister but not quite. It is spelt in a very strange way as well.

Hi Sam! you were at my school recently and I wanted to say well done for your books. I just wanted to ask where, if possible, I could get hold of one of your books as I couldn't buy one when you came in to talk to us. thanks, and great laugh! MWA HAHAHAHA!

-Thank you, Charlotte! :D
Is your school Northgate High? If so, I believe my books are still for sale (or you can borrow them) at your school library. They should be available to order from pretty much all other bookshops and libraries, too.
Thanks again for your kind message (especially about my laugh, some people find it sort of alarming! ;D) Best wishes to you,

Phase Four of my Sinister Masterplan is a novella for Barrington Stoke. I've just signed the contract and I'm hoping that the book'll be out sometime next year. Phase Five is still top secret - partly because I'm still writing it! ;D But do keep an eye on my homepage (address below) for the latest.
Thanks again for your lovely message about Crawlers, Carol. Your kind words and encouragement are very much appreciated.
