 Well, hello Sam! I must say, my friend and I were discussing literature the day before yesterday and we both came to the conclusion--the Black Tattoo is undeniably the best book we've ever read. TIM came right behind in second place.
Once again, I've got to hand it to you--as opposed to just writing an amazing book, you're an amazing author! Just incredible!
In particular, the Kraken's appearances in the book had me grinning so widely you'd think my face was going to split in two--I'm a pirate fan, and seeing the Kraken portrayed the way you wrote it just made my day(s)! Also, the fact that the "happy ending" only surfaced at the very, very end pleasantly surprised me--I found myself cheering the characters on when I thought things were going to turn nasty. (Using famous landmarks as melee weapons, in particular, was an ingenious move. Well done!!)
In any case, I'm looking forward to your next step in the sinister master plan—from the little hints that you've been leaving around your website, I'm pretty anxious to see what the final product will turn out like. I'm pretty sure somebody else said this once, but if you could ever find the chance to work pirates into your next (fourth?) novel, I'd be ecstatic! Keep up the phenomenal work!
PS: One day you absolutely MUST find a way to come to Toronto! If I could, I'd help fund the excursion!

 What a superb book. Develops at the speed of the Da Vinci Code whilst somehow also managing to develop character and keep a satirical bleak humour going at the same time.
