She had been with us for 10 years. We saved her from a shelter on the day she was to be put down, and actually had to fight to take her home because her paperwork was already done. I'm so glad I fought for her, she was just a great part of our family, and I'm glad she had a long, happy life with us. There is a huge hole in our family, and in our hearts that can never be filled again, but now the happy memories are starting to come back, and now I understand that without these memories, the hole wouldn't be there. Shy baby, we loved you so much, and I know you're ok now, and know that you will ALWAYS be in our hearts. |

Lil' Sweetheart has been my best friend and traveling partner since 1992. She has moved with me more times than I can remember, stayed at her Grandmother's house when I couldn't have her where I was living, been homeless with me in a car and wherever I happened to lay my head down for the night, and through it all she was always there...With her unconditional love. | Comments: | It's nice to know that there are sites like this one to help people with their loss. I lost my furbaby yesterday and I am having a very hard time dealing with the loss of him. He had kidney failure, seems his kidney did'nt grow with his body and he was in the final stage of the disease, he was in alot of pain and it was so hard to watch him endure this day after day, I chose to have him put to sleep, hardest decision I ever made. 8 days before his first birthday. My home doesnt feel like home anymore. Thanks for having this site to help me through this horrible time in my life. |

Some sick person killed my little cat when they were in my home after breaking in. She was a bundle of pure love, ever playful, and the most intelligent Cat I've ever seen. She loved being around people, she loved being held, she loved being vacuumed!! She would sit in the chair next to the door as I went out in the morning, and would be waiting in front of the door when I got home in the evening. She was so well behaved and tried very hard to please. She was an angel straight from God, and I was blessed beyond any words to have had her even for the brief time I did. I've never known such pure, sweet, devoted love in my life, and I wonder if I ever will again. My heart is shattered. | Comments: | I recently lost my beloved baby boy, Stinky Bottom, who I raised from the time he was a week old. He believed I was his mother, and I treated him like a son. He had a rare heart condition that was undetectable until it was too late. His poor little heart failed and he left us so suddenly shortly before his second birthday. | Comments: | My best friend in the whole wide world was hit by a car July 19, 2000. Tizzy survived the accident, but her spine was broken and she was in a lot of pain. I had to make the decision to put her to sleep. I love my dog so much. Dealing with her death has been the hardest thing I've ever gone through. Reading sites like this where other people talk about their grief over lost pets has at least let me know that while Tizzy was one of a kind, I'm not alone in my grief over a lost beloved pet. |
