I was born at St. Pauls, Vancouver in 44 and our family,Olaf Mortenson's, lived in New Westminster on 5th Ave. and then 8th street & Kennedy. The rest of the clan lived across the bridge down by the river road from the Turf. Had my tonsils out in Royal Columbian and will never forget that soft ice cream after. There were 4 of us kids and we have many many fond memeories of all these area's. |

I have spent most of my life in the New Westminster area and have always felt at home in the Royal City! |

| Comments: | My fiance and I moved to Sapperton in February 2004 from Prince George, B.C. We are eager to see that Sapperton has an active resident's association (we attended our first meeting on January 6th, 2005) and hope to see Sapperton grow into a vibrant community in the coming years.

| Comments: | Very informative website. Thankyou for all the important and helpful articles. Very little of this information is provided through city council or local newspapers, so this website is perhaps the only way for local Sapperton residents to stay active in their community.
