Hello, My name is Brian Burkhart and I would first like to thank you for posting all that information on Omar Richardson. Are a descendant of his? I ask because I am gathering information on the 108th NYVI to eventually publish an addendum to the Regimental history. Anything else you might have about Omar that you would like to contribute would be greatly appreciated. Also, a few associates and I are planning a commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the return of the 108th from the seat of war to be held in 2015. We are trying to contact all descendants of soldiers of the 108th to see if they would like to be present. Please contact me if you are interested. Thanks again.
