Love the colour! We just bought a 1928 English Tudor, virtually unspoilded, however, I my kitchen is incredibly small, I think what you did with your kitchen it great. Email me and I can give you some exterior photos, this home has the most exquisite garage doors I have ever seen. Right now I am having trouble getting house insurance because of knob and tube wiring. Kate

Check out early spring 2008 Country Gardens special Interest Publication. I know ( from your postings) you want to build a green house and this issue has a really cool one on the front page with many antique architectural finds. I too want to build a green house in my back yard but can only do a little at a time $$$ have all the windows from my dumpster diving some lumber and have a pad poured for it. Now just need the help for my sons. Good luck with your. Carol in Colorado

Great house! I know what you mean about it being your dream house and never wanting to leave. My first home was a 1929 Tudor bungalow -- but smaller than yours. I still miss that sweet house! It instilled a love of old houses in me (and in my DH, who moved into it when we married). We've now got a 1925 Mission/Mediterranean Revival. I don't know if I can ever live in anything other than a 1920s home. Keep up the good work!

Schag! man the green is awesome. Very nice for the kitchen, i must admit im biased my parents house had almost that exact green on its kitchen cabinets. So i am especially fond of it! The house is coming along nicely! Wife and I bought ours on Jan29th 2005 and so far we have done mostly yard work, we dont have much to show for it because the dogs are always destroying it... :) Cest La Vie!

Hello, I looked at your photos, off the old house web and have a question for you. My 1908 home in Louisiana has the same grain wood (exactly) on the old windows I found in the shed, as your window shown in the sunrooom photo. can you tell me what kind of wood it is? I believe it is heart pine, but am unsure. thanks, Valerie vvillars@bellsouth.net

I LOVE your kitchen cabinet paint color! I would love to paint my cabinets to get rid of the ugly "1980's" dark brown that they are. My significant other doesn't think we should paint them though because of resale value. Great job with your home. I love everything you have done. --Rob

You have a great house! Love the colors. They look like what I'm wanting to use in my house! Would you be willing to share the brand and chip colors with me? That sure would save me some decision-making time since I know how great they look from your pictures! Terry

Great house! The grate looks wonderful. We have wall grates that need to be painted but have yet to even make it on the list. Ha! We're doing the upstairs bathrooms right now and it's quite a project. Thanks for sharing your home on the Garden Web.

You've got a beautiful home! My wife and I are about to get our first home, a 1928 brick/stucco tudor in Seattle. Seeing what you've done to your home has really inspired us. Keep up the great work! Just curious -- have you had any probs w/ knob&tube wiring? We're a little anxious about that, especially using two computers. Looks like not many grounded outlets. Probably expensive to fix, I'm sure!

Love your home. I, too, live in an oldie but goodie (1929) and love the charm that only these old homes have. Suburbia and McMansions have nothing on an old home with charm. Beautiful decorating (saw it on "That HOme SIte".)

I love the kitchen wall color - kind of a sage green. DH and I will be painting our own cabs a similar color (not only does it look good in our 1930s cottage, it also coordinates with my Pfaltzgraff Naturewood stoneware.)

Schag, I've appreciated your input with my fireplace restoration questions. I love what you and Kimberley are doing with your house and I appreciate your taste in furnishings and design. Could you possibly help me locate a source for curtains like the really nice ones in your living room? I haven't seen two-toned curtains like those and would love to locate some as that look would be great for our house Thanks! Jane

Loved the pics of your house. Might reconsider taking out the pine built ins if they are original. The dining room table looks OK for an older home. Simple, yet very fuctional, and your first.Great vent-a-hood. Almost looks commercial. Your house must be in Hillcrest or Stifft Station. I know that I have seen this house but can't put my finger quite in it. Good luck with your restoration and I will keep you posted if I come across anything that looks like you could use. Walter
