| Comments: | I absolutely LOVE Greyhounds, and I enjoy watching them on the track on occasion. It stunned me to read all of the comments made by PETA-minded individuals (no, NOT individuals- mobs) that blast everybody involved in a sport that requires such dedication and TLC on a DAILY BASIS! I worked with harness horses for several years, and can appreciate the fact that dogs, as well as horses, are regarded as prize athletes by the trainers and caretakers whose entire livelihood is based on whether they've taken the BEST care of that animal that they could have. I missed a meal here and there, but THOSE ANIMALS NEVER DID. I could not lay my head down at night until my horse was fed and bedded down and its water topped off every night. We got no days off. And you know what? Whenever that animal crossed the finish line first, it WAS ALL WORTH EVERY RAINY DAY MUDDING, EVERY WINTER DAY FREEZING, and EVERY CHRISTMAS and EVERY OTHER HOLIDAY MORNING SPENT WORKING AT THE TRACK OR FARM!!!!! And if they DIDN'T finish first, they got THE SAME CARE, and EVEN BETTER CARE to help them finish better in their next start!
So, anyway, I'm sick of listening to people who have nothing better to do than collectively bad-mouth an industry, a natural athlete, and the people who work their butts off just to bring one lucky dog to the winner's circle for a prize at the end of the day. |

| Comments: | I must say I had to laugh at all the "rage" comments that people have left prior to me. It is clear people have NO CLUE as to what the greyhound racing industry is all about. Firstly, What are you doing on the GRA website? Did you get lost on your way to GAP or DOG.USA.org? This site is for greyhound racing enthusiasts.
Some comments I must highlight: From Kelly "your website is sickening! the poor dogs are locked in a crate all day, fed crap for food, are injected with steriods and forced to run while humans bet on them" -They are not locked in crates all day, they are transported in crates to and from the track. -They are fed better than most humans, food high in vitamin content, B3, Niacin, and Omega 3. Fat dogs do not run fast -They are not injected with seroids, there is drug testing to ensure that. From Pat "What a great day for greyhounds and a terrible day for you people!
