I have a question, what is the best way to increase my chances on getting hired onto the Sevier County Sheriff Department? I know they are hiring sometime in July and I am almost done filling out the application, but I really want to get in. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks so much.

Randy,
I am a police officer in Ridgway,IL(in the south-eastern part of the state). I am glad I found your website. I am trying to move to your area in TN and finally was given the oppertunity to have a law enforcement career. I would love to stay in Law Enforcement and would like any info or advice you could give on departments that may be hring in your area. I tested with Knoxville, last month and once I send in background paper, I will have an interview in July I believe. It would be November before I would start though. I am interested in anywhere in that area. I am a single parent so a city based training like Knoxville has would be VERY beneficial. Thank you for any help you can provide!!

Sincerely,
Officer Paul Beam

I HAVE HAD THE PRIVLEDGE OF FIRST MEETING RANDY SOME 8 YEARS AGO WHEN I FIRST GOT TO TENNESEE, WHEN HE WAS ON PATROL IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD, HE WAS CURIOUS TO STOP AND INTRODUCE HEM SELF AND SEE IF EVERYTHING WAS ALL RIGHT. A YEAR LATER I MOVED TO TO SOME ACREAGE I HAD BOUGHT IN SEVIER COUNTY. AYEAR OR TWO LATER I HAD THE GOOD FORTUNE TO HAVE RANDY BUY A HOME UP THE ROAD FROM MINE. HE HAS ALWAYS BEEN A GREAT NEIGHBOR, AND OUR AREA OF THE COUNTY HAS EXCEPTIONAL PATROLING NOW THANKS TO HIS INTENSIVE LOVE FOR PROTEC TING AND SERVING THE PEOPLE AROUND HIM

Hi Randy, enjoyed your site, excellent work. It is refreshing to see a Deputy take the time and the insentive to create such a great and informative site. This site has been particularly helpful to me in my trying to relocate to your area. It also gave me an idea of the posibilities of a Law Enforcement career in your area. I currently serve as a Peace officer with the State of Connecticut. So as they say one never knows we could be working together. Stay safe and take care out there. God Bless and keep you and yours.

Nice web-site, my family and I were down in your area from April 1 - 4, we enjoyed it. I am a University of Cincinnati Police Officer, and a friend of mine (Sgt. Please let me know one way or the other. Thanks Again. Ofc. James P Lunkenheimer.
