Comments:Stargate SG-1 has been the best science fiction programme I've seen in all my years of watching sci-fi on television, from the days of Dr Who when I was a wee thing , through Trek and beyond. It's been five good good years, and I really mean it. It's so nice to be able to say to both the production staff and the actors, *thank you* for these five years, *thank you* for giving to us, the fans, more than we could ever ask you for. For the show, for the on-line contributions in Q & A's, for the convention appearances when you've been tired and worn out and yet still gone on signing all those autographs! What I witnessed at SG-4 I'll never forget - it was a privilege to be a part of such an outpouring of love to Michael as he left, the standing ovation of thanks to him for his five years and to Amanda for coming over and being her usual wonderful self. Obviously people are sad that Michael decided to go but looking forward now, the overwhelming feeling you get from the fans is optimism and a looking forward to Season 6 and seeing where you're going to take the guys for their final trips through the Gate. The pure talent you have on set both in staff and actors is enough to make us realise that you'll make the journey pleasurable and fun, and we can only thank you, for the dedication it's taken for giving us five years and for having the staying power to take us through this sixth year. Thank you to the actors for seeing us through to the end, for finishing what they started, and for allowing us to see this final season in preparation for saying our final goodbyes to the team. If season 6 is as good as season 5, then we're in for a good one! Thanks to the writers, the producers, directors and all the background staff for producing it. Thanks to RDA for believing in the show and for his humour and wonderful acting, to Chris for spending the past five years acting serious and raising that eyebrow and conveying more with that gesture than most actors could do by speaking , and thanks of course to Amanda for making Sam what she is today, for taking the character and giving us a compassionate wonderful, rounded human being - and thanks to her for being such a wonderful person to the fans when she meets them. Mention of course has to go to Teryl and Don, without whom Stargate just wouldn't be the same. Basically, *thank you guys* all of you. :) We're waiting with bated breath for what you're going to give us in Season 6, so bring it on! :) Hugz to all of you, Julia xox

I came to SG1 kind of late on... but I've come to really love the show. Good luck to MS, and huge thanks to everyone on the team. Looking forward to see what Anubis has up his sleeve, that's a fact. Me 'n' my fella both cried buckets at Meridian... keep the emotion coming!

Comments:I would like to thank the producers, the creators and all the actors for this great show. I live in Hungary and here we still have only the 2nd season on TV but I also follow the series in English. These are big words as usually I don't used to watch TV. Sometimes a movie or some sports, car racing, but I was never ever following any series before. Stargate SG1 was the first one which could caught me, so the PTB must do something extremly well. I accept Michael Shanks' decision and wish him all the best for his career. Please, keep up the good work and entertain us with lots of great stories throughout the 6th season and also the movie. Thank you all very much for everything you do for us. Aniko from Hungary

Comments:what more can say that hasn't already been said? sg1 is superb, the new standard of sci-fi drama, a great show, great cast, great plotlines, an excellent and vast use of mythology, fantastic character development etc... just tell me when season six starts so i can become obsessed all over again, and spend some more money on the dvd's :)

I'm greatly looking forward to season 6 and hopefully the feature film, and I'm gonna keep watching! (season 3/4 and 6 in parallel!)The cast, you're all doing a really great job, cause I'm loving it, and the crew, you're doing a great job keeping it running! So best of luck for season 6 and the film!

Comments:Just like to say that, despite Daniel leaving, I`m stll really looking forward to S6. S5 did lack direction slightly (hell, it was all over the place) but with S6 the last, I`m looking forward to the end of the Replicators and seeing Anubis more, I think he has the potential to be a really good bad guy. To all the writers, production crew, and actors. Keep up the good work and I look forward to you all working your magic in this, the final season. ps. Ignore those threatening to abandon the show. They are a minority and are not true fans anyway so dont worry, there`ll still be plenty of people watching to keep SG-1 on top.

Comments:I wish Michael Shanks all the best, I hope to see more of him in Season 6, I really loved his character in the show. I do not get Showtime, so we're on Season 4. I'm hoping someone will pick up Season 5 while Sci Fi will be airing Season 6, or else I'll have to wait for reruns. I really wish they could have done something more with his character, that he felt he had to leave. I love Stargate SG1 and will continue to watch it and wish the rest of the cast well also. Here's hoping there's a major motion picture at the end of their run with Michael in it also. Hey, here's a thought, if they're going to have a sequel "Atlantis"? could Michael be in it also??? Appreciate anyone who takes note of my letter. Thanks again. Sincerely, Debbie Beaver Falls, PA

Comments:Even at the age of 11 I could spot the winners..I've been following the series since before I even could understand half the words used and the sarcasm implied by Jack..but the pretty colors were amazing ;) Really, I've followed this long, and am very sad to see it go, but it has brought me many good memories of Friday night's past. This show will never leave me fully, and it has helped me grow even as a person, no matter how strange that may sound..So thank you to everyone involved, i'll never forget you either.

Comments:Congratulations to all involved with Stargate SG1 for such a wonderful series. Can't wait for Season 6, thank goodness for my DVD collection. I wish Michael Shanks great success with his future endeavours but hope he makes many future guest appearances. I understand and respect Michaels reasons for leaving but to me Jack and Daniel are the heart of Stargate SG1 - after all who else is going to call Jack "A stupid, son of a bitch". Although I didn't like Daniels 'ascencion' as a way of him leaving I liked his appearance as the 'wind' at the end of "Revalations" and also that they carried over his team/family trying to cope with his departure. But after 5 seasons it sometimes takes a main character leaving to bring some new scope and I did feel that Season 5 lost its way a bit, albeit that it had some great episodes. My hope for Season 6 is that with the departure of Michael that Christopher gets his overdue share of quality time and plots on the show. By the way Christopher I loved your story for "The Warrior" it was a great episode. Sorry to all the Jack/Sam 'shippers out there but please don't go there, that relationship should have been left in the 'alternate universe' where it did no harm! Also during a guest appearance I would like Daniel to 'descend'. Finally, if Season 6 is to be the finale I hope that Daniel will be involved in the final episode it would be nice to wrap up with the show being taken back to its roots.

Comments: Hello to all cast and crew members, were gonna miss Daniel Jackson loads more than anyone would think possible. Looking forward to season 6 hope we dont have to wait too long in England were able to watch repeats starting from season 1. I hope that we will see our favourite archaeologist back in sg1 very soon, it was a big shock for me and my family Daniel Jackson was our best actor in the programme. Im sure that sg1 will win the war with the goa`uld and will become great allies with the Tok`ra and asgard and Daniel Jackson will be back blowing around O`Neil he will show up to help the in he future. So get on with producing season 6 i wait eagerly thanx for all the hours of fun yo have given already i look forward to season 10

I think the breeze at the end of the final episode was Daniel saying goodbye. Looking forward to series 6 but a little apprehensive about change (aren't we all).

Comments:To everyone involved in Stargate- Thanks to Richard Dean Anderson for making me smile (and occasioanlly drool.) Thanks to Amanda Tapping for being damn cool at SG4, and being a great Sam. Thankyou Christopher Judge for just... well, being there. And thankyou to Micheal Shanks. Gonna miss Daniel, it's true. But he was great at SG4 (the teddy!) and if he wants to move on, good for him. Thanks to writers, directers and prodicers (too many to mention) for all the fab eps. Teryl Rothery for patching them up, Don S Davis for keeping em sane, Dan Shea for being RDA the second, Colin Cunnigham for just being cool, same to Gary Jones, and lets not forget >deep breath< Whoever plays Hathor, Apophis, Heru-ur, Sha'uri, Skaara, Kasuf, Jacob/Selmak, Martouf, all the Tok'a, all the Tollan, all the Nox, Zipcana, Anubis, Osiris, Niirti, Yu, Chronos, Kawalsky, Ferreti, various techinicians and other off planet people, Maybourne, Simmons, Kinsey, Bastet, Kali, Morgan, Baal, all the other Goa'uld in fact, Tanith too, uh...all the SFs, Urgo, Wormhole X-treme cast, Mertin Lloyd, Oma Desala, Bratac, Shifu, Sho'nak, yes, even Anise, and I'm out of names now, but thankyou to you all. I love each and veryone one of you! Lots of Love to every member of the cast, whether you're a background or a foreground, you've made my show special! Abby xxx

Comments:Hey y'all! I'm proud to say that I'm a Danny fan. After seeing MS recently at SG4, I'm even more of fan. But there are other characters in SG1. They are just as strong characters as Daniel, and SG1 WILL go on without him. I cried at Meridian too, y'know. I'm a Daniel/Sam shipper- I have a HUGE reason to miss Daniel. But if MS wants to move on, good for him. It's his choice! Leave the poor man alone, there will still be a show! But in the words of Celine Dion... "My heart (AKA the show) will go on..."

Comments:I want to thank, of course, Richard Dean Anderson for making me smile, Amanada Tapping for actually helping me in my physics coursework, and also providing me with a fantastic role model, Michael Shanks for showing me that it's okay to be a geek (!), Christopher Judge for just being soooo cool, Teryl Rothery and Don S Davis for keeping the show sane, but most importantly of all, the writers and producers - in fact everyone who works on the show, because you've given me something to look forward to every week - and that doesn't just count for me - that counts for thousands of people all around the world. The only word that I could possibly use that will only just describe how great your show is, is 'phenomenal'. You all work so hard, and you have supplied so many people with so much through humour, action, and even romance. I just want to say thank you for everything. It's a shame that the show had to loose Michael Shanks, but I quite recently met him, and he's just a fantastic guy, and whatever decision he has made, I completely respect it. I really hope that Stargate SG-1 keeps gaining the success it has had so far, and I wish all the actors and the crew the best of luck for the future, and I hope that you keep on having fun till the end - after all, without laughter, it's just pointless.

Comments:With all that is going on in the world today, perhaps having an addiction to a finely written Sci-Fi show seems a little...trivial. But...hey, what are ya gonna do? Things could be worse than losing Daniel "Fer cryin' out loud!"(to borrow a quote). There is a lot of nasty stuff out there that could come through the 'Gate' and wipe out the entire SGC. Not ready for that if you don't mind. I've been a bit slow on the uptake with watching what has become my favorite show. I was introduced to the series about a year ago and, due to the lack of a Showtime subscription, am currently in the middle of S4. (Haven't seen S1 or S2). Obviously I have yet to see Meridian, though I certainly know the outcome. From what I have picked up on, through the net, my imagination has dubbed Daniel, guardian of SG1. If I were O'Neill & Co., I would step through that shimmering pool with even greater confidence knowing somehow, somewhere, Daniel Jackson was watching my six! Thanks to all cast and crew for giving me an opportunity to leave reality now and then and join them on 'one heck of a ride!' Best wishes to MS and all.

Comments:Living in Canada, I still have many months to go before I shall watch "Meridian". Still, the thought of Daniel dying is difficult, but I respect MS and wish him the best of luck with his future plans. I just want to thank all the people who aided in the creation of Stargate. Richard Dean Anderson for giving the show his humour and his ability to move us into a story. Amanda Tapping and Teryl Rothery for giving me two wonderful TV role models in a land where strong-willed, brilliant, beautiful women are few and far between. Michael Shanks, for believing so thoroughly in his character, and proving repeatly brains can equal brawn in diplomatic relations. Christopher Judge, for the little quirks of humanity which we don't realize until someone comes along to point them out. Don S. Davis, for making us wish we had a boss like him, commanding yet willing to listen. And to all the writers, producers, directors, creative consultants, and people behind the show, for doing all they could possibly do to make the show what it is. And last but not least, the fans, because without you guys, I would never have gotten involved in the Stargate fandom and realized how many people out there care for the show as much as I do. Thanks for giving us six great years!

Comments:What can I say about Stargate? Watched the movie - loved it. Watched Stargate SG-1 Season One - loved it. Watched Stargate SG-1 Season Two - loved it. Watched Stargate SG-1 Season Three - loved it. Watched Stargate SG-1 Season Four - loved it. Watched Stargate SG-1 Season Five - loved it. Okay, I admit there have been episodes I haven't liked as much as others... you get the idea, though. :) Normally, I'm a shipper... not in this show, though. I have to say that I hope you strengthen the S/J friendship - I don't want romance - at least not if they're serving in a team together. If that ever changes then I'll re-think my position. Strengthening the ties between J/T and S/T would also be appreciated. The show will miss Michael Shanks dreadfully but I do look forward to the future. As with the majority of SG fans, I hope and pray you get him back for guest appearances and soon - as Daniel or Thor or both. :) I think - as yet another SG4 attendee - I can safely say we made him fully aware of how much his character is/was loved and how much he will be missed. The finale of S5 has intrigued me... not the usually type of cliff-hanger at all. As someone mentioned in an earlier posting, the mysterious 'wind' has got me a-thinking. Some of my ideas are 'out-there' to say the least. Looking forward to S6 so I can get an explanation. A happy fan. (Ecstatic would have to have MS in the cast).

Changes may occur, but that's not only part of life, for indeed, there's something very real about SG1 and her characters to many fans. Even Thor, adorable little guy that he is. Good Wishes.

I've grown to love the other characters (and actors!), so I know I'll still love the show, but it's going to leave a big whole in my heart. Now I'm just praying that there's not going to be any more developed between Jack and Sam. Thank you for creating this wonderful show. :)

Comments:Stargate consistently makes me laugh, smile, lose myself in an alternate reality for an hour.... Meridian was the first every episode that made me cry (and I *don't* cry easily) beautifully done and afitting goodbye to a popular character who will be missed. We got the chance to say goodbye to Michael at SG4 this weekend - more tears and lumps in throats! That said I look forward to what S6 might bring, interested to see if the writers can rise to the challenge of portraying the effects of losing Daniel on each member of the team... please don't ignore it guys! Personally I have really liked the later seasons and the development of the characters - not that keen on the whole NID thing, but I do love Maybourne! We do need more off world action next season.. and please wrap up the threads and introduce us to the ancients (if we havn't met them already that is) Diane

Comments:I adore the show and have every confidence in the continued dedication to quality of the series as it heads into its final season of production. I'm also looking forward to any and all future movies featuring SG-1. Stargate SG-1 is the only television series that I have ever enjoyed to the degree of watching and rewatching (and rewatching) episodes, and still enjoy the episode as much on subsequent viewings as I did the first time. The episodes are so well written, the characters portrayed by such high-caliber actors, and the look of the show so magical that a viewer can find something new in every replay of an episode. I've watched the show since syndication airing in 1998 (came in on the airing of S2). I eagerly await the dvd season 2 collection release in September and hope that subsequent releases aren't planned with another 15 month break between seasons. Wish list: snippets of caring between the surviving members of SG-1 (unlike the ignore Carter scene at the end of 2001, and several similars in the first half of S5--I've been told that this has improved near the end of S5 and looking forward to seeing it for myself in March:), development and resolution of Sam and Jack and their "feelings," and more Teal'c interaction. Again, to all involved with Stargate SG-1, break a leg for another successful season! I'm so ready for the ride. Tere

Comments:Though I am saddened by Michael Shanks' departure from the show, I am looking forward to season six. I think that a whole new array of storylines have been opened up with new opportunities for the remaining members of SG-1. Meridian hasn't aired in Canada yet, but despite that, I have seen the episode and was very impressed by it. Wonderful performances by all cast members. I think I went through an entire box of tissues. Anyway, I will be watching next season, looking for character interactions (particularly Sam and Jack!!!) and enjoying it. All the best.

Comments:I watched Meridian the first time last Wednesday.I thought what a very sad but brilliant story.I thought the last conversation between Jack and Danial could easily have been between RDA and MS as well, with Michael Shanks saying he will miss the rest of the cast and crew.I watched the story a couple of times after and enjoyed it every time.I think it is sad Michael is leaving but it is what he wants and his choice. The so called fans who have been writing such nasty letters and emails should respect that. But watching the episode at home on my own was nothing compared to the weekend I have just had.I went to London to sg4!Michael and Amanda where at the convention as well as the actor who plays Maybourne. On the Saterday night they had a costume contest. While the actors where deciding the results of the contest on the screen some the scenes from Meridian where shown. Amanda and Michael and over eight hunderd fans where nearly in tears watching this. Thent the words THANK YOU MICHAEL SHANKS FOR FIVE WONDERFUL YEARS appeared. The hall erupted with applause and cheers.Being in that hall at that momment will be something I will never forget. That is the reaction of true fans of STARGATE SG1 .Meeting Michael and Amanda was one the best momments of my life.I have watched the series since CHILDREN OF THE GODS. Even though there have been a very few episodes I have not been keen on, I thought the fast majority of the episodes where brilliant.I want to say thank you for to the cast, crew and directors for creating the best scifi series on television.Best wishes for season 6 and I wish you all the luck in the future.Love from a true fan of STARGATE SG1.****

Comments:Having watched Stargate from the very begining I must say I found Meridian to be the most traumatic hour I have ever spent infront of the TV. Watching SG-1 reactions to Daniels state and also his view of how he had failed to achieve anything of significance was heart breaking. This in itself was a measure of how great those performances were. For Season 6, I would like to see some of the remaining threads pulled together, such as who are the Furlings and what the extra lock is for on the Stargate!!!!! Obviously Michael will be missed but there is still a great team there and it will be nice to see how Jonas integrates into SG1. I hope however that Michael will appear in Season 6 and the movie. I look forward to seeing Atlantis and hope that it will follow in the footsteps of that other great SciFi franchise Star Trek with movies from the Original team that we will always love but equally come to appreciate the new spin off series Good Luck Guys

I've been fortunate enough to escape most of the eddies of discontent / uproar about Michael Shanks' departure, and while the character of Dr. Daniel Jackson will definitely be missed, I'm sure that Stargate SG-1 will continue to be a great show in Season Six. Comments:Great movie and great TV show. Keep up the good work. What I saw starting with the movie was a new major mode of universal travel introduced for science fiction. I can only speculate as to how the idea originated. Just as putting an address in on my computer opens the door to World Wide Web putting an address into this "THING" opens the door to the universe. The "THING" is more extensive than a transporter, light years faster than a spaceship, travels through time, and brings you right back too. Not to mention that the "THING" is not real easy to destroy(???), our heroes have one stuck in a sun! Yes I am your friendly neighborhood special effects junkie. It is a bit ironic that every character in the show is a real person bless their wonderful hearts but the DIAL N GO is not. I wish it was! I accept the fact that shows and characters come and go but I will miss the Stargate itself most of all. While I look forward to the second half of season 5, season 6, a movie, and Atlantis, I hope the DIAL N GO will become a lasting part of Sci Fi. Personally, after all is said and done, I'll still take a Gate, DHD, and a pair of Rings to go. I'm all ready to GATE to work and RING home my groceries! Just call me DIAL N GO gal. Thanks for such a great show.

Comments:I regard myself to be a true fan of Stargate SG-1 and have been since season one. The producers and writers have continued from where the movie Stargate (which I consider to be a great movie) finished and have taken it beyond anything I would have imagined possible from a spin off television show. After watching and crying through the episode Cold Lazarus I realised this was much more than just another average Sci-Fi show. It has a chemistry that is rare. Even now as season five comes to its last episode in the England, when we see shots of the Stargate coupled with the brilliant music there is still that feeling of awe and wonderment. I like the fact that the show is set in the present-day and not hundreds of years in the future. I think that the actors and actresses have done a wonderful job of bringing these characters alive, making them believable and likeable. Thank you RDA, MS, AT, CJ, DSD and TR. Congratulations to the many writers who have given us some great science fiction, humorous and moving stories over the last five seasons. What can I say about season five but 'BRILLIANT'. I have enjoyed every episode this season. I recently watched 'The Warrior'. I think it shows how well the actors are tuned in with their characters. Well done Christopher Judge for a great story. As for the departure of Michael Shanks, I think that Meridian was a well-written, brilliantly acted and moving episode. I have sat here trying to find the words explain why but am unable to do so. All I can say to any fans who have not yet seen Meridian is to look into Danials eyes as he lies in the infirmary, I think they say everything that I can not. Thank you Michael for everything that you have contributed to Stargate SG-1 and for the many hours of quality and enjoyable viewing that you have given to us fans. I will miss seeing you in Stargate SG-1 but respect your wishes to go on to do other things. I think that you are a very talanted actor. I hope that the future has good things in store for you and I am sure that we will be seeing you on our screens again very soon. Last November my 14-year-old son and I went for one day to Wolf SG-3 in London. It was an experience of a lifetime for us. We met Alexis Cruz, Don S Davis, Jay Acovone, Tony Amendola, Vaitiare Bandera and Frida Betrani. I have always enjoyed the show but now after meeting these actors and actresses I watch the show with a new respect that I hadn't thought possible before. I don't know of any other television genre that enables the Stars and the fans to come together in this way. It was an experience that will stay with me always. Given the troubled times that we are living in I would like to say a special thank you to all the stars mentioned above for travelling to England at such a difficult time. As a fan this really means a lot to me. Thank you! I am really looking forward to season six although I will be very sorry when sg-1 finally finishes. I am still hoping that there will be a movie for the big screen of Stargate SG-1 with the actors from the series playing the characters we have grown to love. It would not be the same if the characters were played by Hollywood movie stars. I would like to thank every one that contributes to making the show. You have shown us that on a television budget you have equalled and surpassed the imagination, special effects and quality of many of the big box office movies. I wish Brad Wright all the best in the future with Stargate Atlantis. I will definitely be a viewer. Thank you Richard Dean Anderson for bringing your sense of humour and wondrful acting skills to the show. One minute you will have us laughing out loud and then the next minute the story and your acting ability moves us to tears. This is truly a talent to be cherished. My best wishes go to you and your family. Before I sign off I would like to make one request. When you redue the opening credits for season six please may we see Teryl Rothery's name in the main credits along with the other main stars. Thankyou Elena May P.S. Thankyou to the owners of this website. It is refreshing to be able air positive views and no that they are valued.

Comments:S5 has been great, it's had it's ups and downs. For instance loved, Summit and Menance to name but only two of the many greats. Although the major down was (Well, Daniel leaving of course but that was Michael's choice and I won't stop him leaving or complain about it, in fact I won't mention it beyond this point. (not critising Meridian though!) The biggest disappoint for me this season was) Last Stand and the way it ended, I tend to say it was the inconclusive conclusion, as although many things many have been resolved, like the Martouf/Sam thing but, I did feel like "What that was it?" because of they way they just left Elliot and never explaining how they got back, they just said 'this is the plan' in true SG-1 style I was expecting the plan to go wrong but, it just ended there. Although how I expected them to improve upon Summit I don't know!! But not to pick holes in the series as it was brilliant and I don't want you to think I have any other opinion about it, and that I'm only here to complain when I'm not this season was/is FANTASTIC! Can't wait for Wednesday, I've seen the advert and it looks wonderful, with Asgards, Osiris...sounds to me like it has all the ingredients for the making of a disaster...for SG-1 to solve of course!!!!

Comments:Dear all that have touched my life, Stargate SG-1 very quickly became apart of me and my life. I have taken the show into my heart and so too the many fans around the world that have become my friends. I have enjoyed following the many (mis)adventures of SG-1. Felt an over sense of pride in watching each character grow. I have felt wonder and excitement in the unexpected story twist, felt anger towards the bad guys, love towards the good guys and felt the tears stream down my face as another Sam and Jack story unravels itself. So to everyone that made the show; the cast, the crew, writers, produces and even Richard Dean Anderson thank-you. This young Australian will greatly miss the show when it ends. I will always keep it, the cast, crew and the fans close to my heart. I wish all the best to everyone that made Stargate SG-1 very special. Love Deniz.

This may be the point where all of the rest of the team can express their emotional side much more than before. Teal'c would be nice to see a little less stoic. Again looking forward to Season 6, The Movie, and Stargate Atlantis. Also Consider this my vote for a "Happily ever after" for Jack and Sam (and their kids).

Comments:I will admit up front that I'm one of those who has been unhappy with the direction the series has been taking the last two years and have not been shy in saying so. That said, Stargate SG-1 is still my favorite series on television, including non-scifi. Even when the show has not been what I would wish it to be, the production values have been top-notch, especially this season. Thank you for five years of hard work and dedication. Daniel is my favorite character because of his complexity and his values, which are the same as mine, but I see a great deal of potential in Jonas, whom I think will make a fine addition to the team. I'll miss Daniel terribly, but the way in which you sent him off opens up a whole new world of exploration and I'm curious as to what you will do with the storyline. Talk about making the proverbial silk purse out of a sow's ear! ...I think that Mr. Shanks' leaving may be a case of an unfortunate event being a blessing in disguise. We would not have had this storyline if he had not made that decision. This fan *is* holding you to your promise of guest star appearances and a role for him in the movie, however. :) (I do realize it's dependent upon his availability and willingness). Thank you for leaving the door open. I'm of mixed feelings about Season Six due to the loss of Daniel and the past downplay of my favorite storylines ("meaning of life" and exploration, particularly of other cultures). However, I haven't seen hide nor hair of the NID since 48 Hours (an excellent team ep, BTW, bless you!), and plenty of episodes with other cultures and "meaning of life", such as Summit/Last Stand, The Warrior, Menace, The Sentinel, and Meridian, so if this is where Season Six is going, count me in. I intend to check the new season out, at any rate. Best of wishes on the future. Oh, and you don't even want to get me started on Menace or Meridian. The accolades would embarass you to death. :) Thank you, thank you, thank you!

It has marvelous directors, wonderful writers, terrific editors, storylines and arc that are always evolving, the best characters and most talented actors of any series I have ever seen. The quality of workmanship by all who are involved makes this series 'Big Screen' material each and every week. I am very excited and appreciative of having another season of this outstanding series. Now that I have said that and, also, knowing this will be the last season for Stargate-SG1.I have to say, I am looking forward to just having the privilege of being able to watch 22 new episodes of this outstanding series. However, the premise of the show will outlast characters much the way Star Trek has outlasted the original crew. If you made great characters once, you can so it again...so as long as you want to make Stargate, I'll be viewing. Thanks and keep up the great work! Comments:Have just read all the comments about SG1 and what a pleasure it is to read comments from people that are grown up!!I loved/ hated/ cried through Meridian and am totally addicted to Stargate. We have watched many series' come and go and have never felt as strongly as about this one. All our family love it especially the funny episodes between Jack/Daniel/Teal'c. Thankyou for giving each member of the cast chance to say something to Daniel/ Michael. He was the strongest character after Jack and that interaction of the conscience v the needs of the military mattered a lot. I don't think it will be the same without Michael Shanks though and do feel quite strongly that Brad Wright could have listened to his concerns, and done more to help him feel like staying.I fear that having made his decision to leave, that will now be the last we will see of him and the character of Daniel who was a major part of the show will be lost. Please Brad, do what you can to get him back into season 6 as the Ascension storyline is one that appeals to lots of us.Perhaps people at Wolf5 in London will be able to persuade him to come back. Have sent you an email also Brad to stargate@mgm.com. A reply would be nice but not really expected. I don't think that introducing Jonas in Meridian did him any good as we were all too shell shocked watching Daniel die. It is an episode I will watch again for the emotions but find it very painful to do so. Keep up the good work though. We do appreciate it really - just get Daniel back please!!!!

Comments:Ok, I like Daniel Jackson and I'll miss him. I admit that there have been more episodes in the recent two seasons that I have not liked very much for various reasons than there was in the past ones. However, I understand that in any TV production lots of people want to have a hand in how things go and it's sometimes tough to write things that please everyone. Overall you do a decent job at it and when you're on it's brilliant TV to watch:) I just things kinda got lost along the way that need to be gone back to and picked back up. Michael will be missed..and I wish he could have realized that the frustration he was feeling was making him a better actor and doing more to bring Daniel to life than maybe anything else was. However I don't want this to overshadow the wonderful imput of Christoper Judge, Amanda Tapping, Teryl Rothery and Don S. Davis. Because without them being there the show really wouldn't be as overall good as it is and I am certain that they, more than any new character brought in, will keep SG1 worth watching for those of us who have been there since day one. Comments:Hey guys, Since the multitudes who have come before me have said so much, I'll try to keep it short. From the first day that I saw Stargate SG1, I was blown away. The fact that something as limited as the movie's concept had grown to infinite possibilities filled me with joy and longing for stories of all kinds. Over the years, you have always shown us that there's yet another trick up your sleeve, from killing a character to cool SFX!!! Never a pulled punch (although perhaps a stumble or two along the way)!!! ;) While some people may cry at the occasional lack of character development, I can't help but be happy when it takes a back seat to development of the plot and overall story arc because it shows that the world of Stargate will always be larger than the one team we have fixated on for 5 years (soon to be 6). Not a single character should be spared when it comes to furthering the SG universe, not even Jack or Daniel. Think about it: they were only the people from *Earth* who found a Gate....what about all the other races on various other planets?!?!? What about their equivalent to SG1??? Hmmmmm..... Thanks for the years of awe and wonder, and don't cave to the minority who would have you bring Daniel back....they quite frankly can't see the bigger picture that the writers always prove that they are creating. ;> Can't wait for Atlantis, PALADIN perhaps your biggest supporter ;)

I just wanted to say that Meridian was one of the finest episodes I have ever seen in any tv programme MS was wonderful and I cried when Daniel made his choice and said goodbye to Jack. Can't wait for season 6, really want Sam and Jack together they deserve some happyness.

Comments:Dear sirs: First off, I want to say that I'm not sure at this point if I'm going to watch season six or not. I haven't always been happy about the writing of this show, particularly the fact that some events and relationships seemed "forced," or contrived, to me rather than allowed to grow naturally. I have also not been happy with the fact that there have been characters that were brought on with great promise (Yes, you may primarily read "Teal'c" here!), that have not been developed or explored the way I would have liked them to have been, and instead have been consigned to the sidelines, or--as in the case of Martouf--killed off in a senseless and meaningless fashion. That said, I just wanted to say that I would like to apologize for the recent barrage of mail and phone calls that I understand that you have been getting. I feel that these people, while maybe not necessarily hateful, are definitely misguided in their efforts. They do not understand that, no matter how proprietary some fans may feel, "Stargate SG-1" is YOUR show! This means that you have the right to make whatever creative decisions you feel are necessary to ensure what you see as its continued health and success. If you want to change the entire premise to that of a Mexican pinata trying to find its way through the South American rain forest tomorrow, you can do it! People might not necessarily watch...but as the owners and producers, you have the right to DO IT! Because you feel it's what's necessary to further and promote the existence of YOUR show! So, I am sorry, both for this campaign, and for some of the other unfortunate behavior that I understand has gone on in the past. They should be content with what, as fans who feel they've been ignored and/or wronged, should be their means of appeal: changing the channel. It's one I may or may not use myself, but, since my life doesn't rise and set on this TV show, it's one that I'm more than content with using. I would like to wish ALL of the cast and crew well and good luck with their future efforts, including MS, who I think is really talented and would be truly great cast against type as a villain sometime in the future. I also would like to see CJ in other things sometime soon, since he has proven, on more than one occasion, that he is more than capable of doing much more than he has been given to do on this show. Thank you for your continued efforts...as well as your patience with an incredibly dysfunctional fandom, Butterfly

Comments:After watchin Meridian a couple of days ago my mind has been whirring with possible return situations for MS. I never realised i liked his character so much until i burst into tears when he died. Its the only show (apart from when Buffy died in Season 5) on telly that has made me cry. That has to be a brilliant testament to the actors and writers talent. PS. To any important behind the scenes people who might read this - PLEASE can we have more S&J shippiness. Season 5 was really disappointing on that front and us shippers need our daily dose!

Comments:I watched Meridian yesterday, what a great episode! I'm sorry that Michael Shanks is leaving, but I'm sure the show will continue to be great. I first started watching SG in the holidays a few years back, and although the channel I watch it on is still on series 3, I've seen some future episodes (okay, a lot) and they are billiant. Well done to all the cast and crew. There is one thing they could do to improve the show: more episodes like WOO, anything shippy!

Comments:Hi, I usually stay on the margins of the sci-fi world but i felt compelled to respond to some of the recent comments. It seems de rigeur in the sci-fi world to 'put the boot in' to shows if they don't match the 'imagined universe' of some fans heads. In this case i feel that the critique of the series has been unfair. The writers, actors and producers have, in the round, given us five great seasons so far and while we all have personal favourites, the series is an ensemble piece.I would also like to commend the series for the humour and wit, particularly the sardonic and irreverent RDA. Television series frequently ignore the fact that humour is very often a large part of people's daily interaction with each other and i think SG-1 is the better for it. Anyway I would like to pass on my best wishes for season six and many thanks for the other five!

Comments:Greetings. I just finished watching Meridian. Wonderful ep. It left so many things unfinished, yet that leaves so many things to deal with in the future. I can't go into detail without using spoilers, but let me say this was a very satisfying completion of Daniel's journey in the SGC. You folks did a wonderful job of creating an exit for the character, without killing him off. Thank you all for all your hard work over the last few years. You've given us all a solid, overall very *very* good show with very few stumbles, and I very much look forward to the 6th season. Don't let the kooks get you down. Candace

Comments:I have just read through a lot of the recent comments and I agree that the whole concept of Stargate SG1 is stunning, both visually and conceptually. This is the only series that I have religiously watched since its inception, I tend to lose interest somewhere around the second or third series as a rule!(X-Files, Farscape, etc) I realise that all the planning for series 6 is almost certainly already in the bag but I feel that there will be a big loose end that needs tying up with the Jack and Sam relationship before we say the big bye bye. I have just watched a rerun of "In the line of duty" on Sky and the way that Jack and Sam react to each other is incredible compared to recent episodes, what happened? Where have the undercurrents from Divide & Conquer gone to? Where has the caring gone? (from both sides)Will the situation ever be addressed again? Us sad and lonely shippers need to know! Anyway, having finished my rant, I do think that the whole thing is just brilliant and there will be an enormous hole in my viewing pleasure when it finally leaves our screens.

Comments:Thoughts from a Star Trek fan ============================= It's a funny thing, but when I first saw the Stargate movie, I thought it was a really second rate B-movie - pretty dire. So I avoided Stargate:SG-1 until about 3 months ago, when I just happened to catch an episode on Sky One. Suffice it to say, I thought, hang on, I've made a big mistake here, this show is great! Now I'm in the happy position of playing catch up with season 2 every day! I guess I just love the humour, the military stuff combined with a sense of honour, the believable "science" (such a pleasant change after the Voyager technobabble), the great characters etc. Instead of finding the "Egyptian gods were aliens called the Go'auld" corny, which let's face it is how it sounds on paper, I actually find it gives the show an interesting grounding. And I find the stargate system itself a fascinating sci-fi idea. Anyway, the surprising thing is I think I'm actually starting to like it more than Trek, and that's something I never thought I'd say. It was so moving when Sam said goodbye to Daniel. We never tell people how we really feel about them until it's too late - how true is that!?! All the actors are really great. Don S. Davis being a real military man adds so much authenticity to the show. Stargate:SG-1 - I love it, keep up the good work!

I had the courage to publish some of my writing as fan fiction and I have made some wonderful friendships through the fandom. I'm looking forward to season six and I hope the plans for the spin off and the movie go ahead. Stargate SG1 has a rare quality about it that draws in both long time sci-fi fans and new ones...long may it continue :-)

Comments:I've been a fan of Stargate: SG-1 ever since I saw the pilot episode thanks to a friend who had Showtime. After catching up on reruns in syndication, I subscribed to Showtime for season 4, since I simply couldn't wait the extra year to see the episodes! I've rarely been disappointed with the scope and vision of the show. Although there've been a few episodes I didn't LOVE, there have never been any that didn't entertain me just a little bit. With all the vitriol being tossed about in the fandom over the departure of Michael Shanks, I wanted to reassure you that a great many of us love Stargate: SG-1 not for one character alone, but for its wonderful premise and execution, talented actors, writers, and all involved in bringing it to our television sets. We might not be taking out ads in magazines to tell you this, or organizing massive phone-in campaigns, but we are just as sincere for our love for the show. Keep up the good work -- I'm looking forward to Season 6.

I love it, am addicted to it, and am so going to miss it when it ends. Thanks for giving us Season 6 and for remembering that SG1 is an ensemble of talented actors all of whom deserve a fair share of screen time. Finally, thanks to all the cast and crew who have been so generous and giving to the fans throughout all of these last five years. We love you!PLEASE give us movieS and Sam & Jack together someday (preferably in my lifetime!) Best wishes to all!!!

I knew Michael Shanks was leaving, but I didn't think they'd kill him off! (Maybe that will leave a little room for S/J shippers to see a little "comforting!") However, even without MS, I can't wait for Season 6! The storyline possibilities are endless! It's true to say that there would have been no SG1 with out him, but I think and hope with all my might that it carries on next season as well as it ever has. I have been a fan since season 1 and have seen every episode to date. Will miss Daniel sorely, he was, to quote Jack 'our conscience.' Just want to tell anyone who's listening that I will keep watching whatever happens and will be very sad when it's all over. If rumours of spin off are true I can tell you now I'll be a fan and if you do do a film, I'll be first in line. Just one piece of advice...after season 5 I think us S/J shippers need a confidence boost - please?! This is because of the amazing plot, the setting, the character development, the characters, and of course the cast, MS, AT, DSD, CJ, TR and of course the lovable and EXTREMELY humerous RDA. I'm sorry to see Mr. Shanks leave and even more sorry that season six is the last season of such a great show. You do a wonderful job of tickling our imaginations with history, science, and a good amount of wit thrown in. The writers you are using, especially Malozzi, do a bang-up job! This is one of the few shows I can watch with the whole family. Season Six looms brightly and sadly as I hear this is the last one. I'm sure the franchise can continue through a movie venue with the number of worldwide fans that you have. Love the actors, especially RDA! Season 6 finale would be nice to have him get with Sam! Then I happened to see "There But For the Grace of God", and I realised I'd made a huge mistake - this was a great series! I love the potential for different stories and you've delivered, time and again, with new ideas, interesting stories, (funny and sad ones), and even episodes that challenge how I see things. Season six will be different, but that doesn't mean it's going to be uninteresting, it's just changed a bit. Daniel is actually my favourite character and I wish Mr. Shanks all the best for the future, but I'm not going to stop watching because one character leaves, I enjoy Stargate too much for that. And I want to say thank you for giving me so much enjoyment in watching TV. There are few series out there that can actually be called 'good quality', and Stargate's one of them. Thanks.
