I decided to do some research on my family history recently. I am 21 years old and I am the last of my Wines family. I decend from William Bradford and my father, grandfather and great-grandfather all carry the name of William Bradford Wines. I have considered changing my name in marriage, but I am unsure due to no remaining children to carry they name on our side of the family.

HI:
I suppose somehow we are related, though along way removed, as I am a descendant of Richard Elson through the Keller family of Indiana. I was looking at some of the dates you have of births of the Elsons and I show John H. born on 2/18/1771. I wondered where you got the information and which is correct, mine came from grandmothers DAR application. Nice seeing your website and thanks for some added information on the Elson line.

I was born and raised in Delaware. My father is Elmer Darrel Greer Sr., he was born and raised in Little Horse Creek, North Carolina, as was his mother and his Grand father Albert Greer. It is amazing to know how many Greer's are in the world. There is alot of Geneology done on the Greer family. My wife did alot of research on the Greer's because she could not find much on her family. My mother bought a book from a Greer that traced the family back to Scotland in the 16 or 17 hundreds. It seems that one of the lines were from the Greerson Clan in Scotland.
Good luck everyone on your quests.

I have so enjoyed and appreciated your information on the Cables. It took me so v-e-r-y long to make the connections that I needed but you helped! I'm descended from Phillip (1700) Cable - Jacob Cable (1733) - Rev. John Marin Cable (1750) - John Cable (178) - John Martin Cable (1820) - Sarah Cable (great grandmother). I'm a relative newbie that is HOOKED on this ancestry search. One discovery...I'm retired now in the back yard of the ancestors...Halifax, PA...so I will be doing a bit of local research. If I can be of assistance let me know. Also, may I use your information on my Tree and naturally giving credit to your work? Thanks again...this has been a trip! Carole (Adams) Gohman

I had lost but finally found your card and the website. It is a very good and fitting tribute. I will always remember being on bank examinations at the Bank of Magnolia. It was always fun watching and interacting with your Father and Uncle. Bank examiners are not always the favorites of bankers, but we were always treated well at BOM.

I always figured your Father liked the outdoors. He seemed to enjoy mowing the power line right-a-ways more than he enjoyed banking.

We would like to prove that one of his daughters is Easter(?) Catherine. She was married to Jackson Smith. The Smiths and Greers moved to Texas, finally settling in Coryell Co, TX. Wish someone could help.

Myrtle married Peter Van Eck; their three children were Robert, Betty and William. Betty is my mother - she married William Tegge; their three children William, Carol (deceased) and myself, Ruth Ann. I married Kenneth (Grzebik) Groesbeck and we have two sons, Kyle and Thomas. I visited Springfield in 1983 and saw the statue of The Puritan. Hello, My name is Frank Greer. I do not know much about my ancestry on my fathers side, other than the fact that his immediate family came to settle in Oneida New York, the surrounding areas of Oneida and various parts of New Jersey, including the town where the hindenburg exploded (not sure of the name of the town). My Grandfather (deceased) was Stanley Leonard Greer and Married My Grandmother Elvira Greer(deceased) who was formerly Elvira Kohler. I have immediate aunts: Audry and Joan Greer and one uncle: Stanely. My father is Leonard Martin Greer. I have been told that my ancestry on my fathers side is Irish and German. I have a strong desire to know more so I may pass on my heritage to my own children. I hope that someone out there has more info for me to gather. this is a great site.
