I have since remarried and owned a Chow that I got from Ernie Coy. He was beautiful, but developed a bad temperment and decided to bite each family member, except me. We had to put him down when he went after me 3-year-old. It was very, very sad and I am not sure I am over it yet. BUT we are looking at Chows again! Your dogs are beautiful! Now we lost our red chow girl Britney. "just old age" 15.2/9/04. We still have our last girl Shoguns sister Kimi Lee,she has a few problems, however is still doing good,at 15. | Comments: | Dear Ms. Weiss, I have now owned my second chow for almost twelve years. Tigra will be twelve in October 2003. My husband and I do not have children so you can imagine how I have spoiled my baby. I would like to establish a relationship with reputable chow breeders because I don't know how long I am going to have Tigra with me. I do not want to be in the position of researching breeders after she dies. I lost my first chow to cancer (had her seven years) and was devasted when she passed. I would never want any other type of dog. We just love chows. Our chow lives in the Indiana dunes in a spacious air conditioned home. She takes frequent walks along the shores of Lake Michigan. She travels with us (by car only) and stays with us in hotels. Although we both work we own our own business so she only spends about 4 hours alone during the day. We lavish her with attention. She seems fairly healthy right now although she is on thyroid medicine and takes a hormone pill once a week. She is also having arthritic problems with her hips. so I am a little worried. I am trying to prepare for the inevitable even though I hope it is several years away. Please contact me when you have a chance. I would love to chat chows with you. She has been with us a little more than a month and she is just perfection. Sheis loving, has a beautiful disposition, is perfectly healthy and so smart.
