| Comments: | Found y'all on the ISRR site - registered with them years ago, hope they don't dump records over time, but it wouldn't surprise me. I thoroughly agree that this secrecy/closed/sealed adoption stuff should be and should have been totally illegal except in cases of extreme violence or danger to BM and or expected progeny. All these adoption advocates and abortion opponents have NO CLUE what it is like to grow up in even the most loving home,given everything,yet knowing you were "rejected" by the individual who was expected (at least in most mammals) to love you and protect you before anything else. Yes, I know there are/were plenty of "selfless" reasons and all that, but now that the time of shame is past, if they are still living, how can they not try to find us, at least people like me who have registered EVERYWHERE. It is like being thrown away all over again to realize they or the parts of the family that knew of my impending existence, also find me not worthy of knowing...uugh - getting teary again. The wonderful Father who adopted me had a double bypass last year and is doing fairly well and my mom has cancer. I am an only child, never married with a 24 year old son who has never had a father in the picture and is also an only child. I am hurt and angry and feel too alone too much of the time. My parents divorced when I was 18 and I am now 46. I won't have them much longer and my health is not great. What kind of creatures don't even bother to search for a child they knew a sister was having??? sorry so emotional. Dana

I was born 11/13/61 in Boston,MA Debra Ann Pinette.My mothers maiden name was Patricia Pinette. I am looking for a connection to my birth father or siblings on his side. I do know he worked for a company called Sprague Electric and so did his mother that would have been March 1961. He was 20 yrs,old. After finding out about the pregnancy he joined the Navy but was eventually discharged for nervousness. His mother my Grandmother still lives in the Nashua,NH area and that is all the information I have. |

| Comments: | I am a thirty year old male who was adopted. I was adopted by a wonderful family and had a great upbringing. I really couldn't ask for any better than I was given. I have always and will always think of my adoptive parents as Mom and Dad and they have taught me things that I might not have realized without their love and support. However there is an ever growing need inside me to find my birth mother, it eats away at me and is keeping me awake at night now. I have a short paragraph of non identifying info about the members of my birth family and it just fuels the curiosity. It costs $700 through the agency I was adopted to try to locate just one parent and I just can't afford it yet. I feel it's unfair to have to pay so much just to find out where I came from. I am sure my adoptive parents would help me pay for it but I am not sure how to tell them and don't want to hurt their feelings, my love for them hasn't changed any I just have an empty feeling inside. |
