Comments:Hi All My daughter Amy had was treated at C2 for ALL back in July 1997 aged just 2 1/4. She is now coming up 12 and is now at secondary school and loving it. Amy has had a few problems over the last few years with her eyes being affected by cataracts probably by cranial radiotherapy, and lots of dental problems due to the chemotheraphy. Needless to say, Amy is very brave and takes it all in her stride. Amy is almost at 8 years off treatment. COPARS has always been there for us and many other families and that is why I have been a committee member for many years and took up being Chairman last July (2006). I hope to see lots of COPARS members old and new at the events arranged for this year.

We have that coming up shortly when Sean's chemo has finished (he is six years old). We are involved with our local support groups, but there just aren't enough children around with Seans particular type of cancer. We have been constantly amazed at the strength of other parents and families and so thankful for all the help that groups like this and others give. Keep up the great work.

A man came up, put his arms round our shoulders & asked if we wanted a cup of tea. We didn't have a clue who he was for a long while as we then went to picu. It was only a small geasture but it will remain with us forever along with all the other kind words of comfort & support so freely given. Thankyou Vernon for making our journey a bit easier, we are so sorry to hear Stuart has lost his fight. We are all thinking of you. Sara

Wasn't the weather fantastic for the middle of September. It was great to catch up with people and chew the fat. There is something unique about parents of cancer Kid's. Unless you have been there you can't possibly understand. I was also pleased to be able to handover a cheque for £1070 raised on Josh's behalf by my company (Campbell's) by selling old product merchandise in the factory shop. Anyway do not miss the Christmas Party or the Pantomime. If you have any ideas for future trips or events or want to get involved in the committee please let Jane Levien know.

Comments:Our son Joshua was diagnosed with this rare cancer on November 2002. He will be finished with his 10 month's of aggressive chemotherapy in October 2003. So far, he has done extremely well with his treatments and we pray that this will continue. We struggle with getting his blood count back up for his next round of chemo sometimes and that is very frustrating. It is hard to believe that we have come so far, because at the beginning I thought this was impossible to do this. With lots of support from friends, family, the great doctors and nurses we have had and our strong faith in God we have been able to get by. We hope to be able to give others in our situation the help and support they need to get started on this journey to be cancer-free. We pray for all these precious children fighting every day against cancer. God Bless!

Comments:Hi, Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who organised the BBQ at RAF Wyton on saturday. We all had a great time, the kids are still talking about the clown & having their faces painted. It was good seeing all the people I haven't seen since Sams time on C2, & great to see how well some of the children are doing now. Hope to see you again at the next event. Have a great summer. Take care Sara
Visit Sams Page</AX/P>

Comments:Our grandson, Daniel, (whom we have custody of him and his two brothers) was diagnosed with cancer when he was 2 1/2 years old. He is five now and is doing real well. We feel fortunate and very lucky to have him with us and hope to for a very long time. It is good to find someone else that is going through the same things, the bad along with the good. It gives you hope and makes you feel you are not alone. I think its good to find a website that you can relate to.

Comments:Hi there all, just browsing through this much needed web-site and reading everbody's lovely comments. Being a founder and still committe member of COPARS, I would have never dreamt we would have come this far and now having a web master too. It will shortly be the 8th anniversay since our precious Daisy left our home but not our hearts and never a day goes by without her being thought of. I cannot give anybody any advice on how to cope with life after losing somebody so precious, except keep smiling, they are only just a thought away. If anybody wants to get in touch just drop Anne or I an e-mail and we are always willing to talk. P.S. Come to the Bar-B-Q on the 12th July, it wil be a super day out, come rain or shine (they hold it in an aircraft hangar). Andy Fuller

Comments:Hello everyone, I thought I'd sign the guestbook as it's not been used very much. I've been off surfing the net & come across lots of people who have been affected by cancer. Some I've told this web address to. Please if you have a moment leave a message in the book, you know what its like to feel all alone, feeling powerless & scared. A little word of encouragement goes a long way. Also if you are feeling that way now, leave a message. There are lots of people use this site who can give you the help you need. I know without the help & encouragement I received from friends, family, doctors, nurses, copars, keech cottage & the libra group I wouldn't be where I am today. If I can help just one other person on their journey I will have done what I set out to do. For those of you who don't know, my son Sam has his own web page & I have added this site to my links to try & get more people together. Thanks for listening sara visit sams page at www.caringbridge.org/sc/samjoy

Comments:Thankyou to my little brother and his wife for providing the Easter Fun on the Ward. The clinic was packed with children and their families from the ward enjoying having their faces painted or a mad balloon hat constructed. The really talented had a go at plate spinning, juggling, diablo spinning and stilt walking. One visitor (you know who you are!) even demanded a balloon hat with flowers, bees and a bird sitting on it. (Lets just say it wasn't just the young ones having fun....!!!;o)

Comments:I am one of the C2C gang to be found on the fundraising page of this site.On Sunday 16th March myself and other members of the C2C gang came to C2 ward to see the wonderful work of COPARS, we were made to feel like VIP's but really it is the children and their family's who are the stars and we felt very privileged to have been able to help members of COPARS and look forward to being able to do more fundraising in the future. My heart and prayers go out to every child and his/her family who come to C2 and wish you all strength and courage to overcome your cancers and to go on living your lives as they are meant to be lived.
