Comments:Your hardwork is very much appreciated. I'm sad that my native ancestry was concealed from me for most of my life. I say concealed in the sense that the native part was so played down, it didn't exist!
But it did exist! My grandmother was Lakota/Apache/Cherokee. You would think I would've recognized it! The brainwashing worked as I didn't.
Anyway, we need to know where we come from and your web page has given me insight and understanding. Thank you

Comments:Thank you so much for this informative and objective production. It is arguably the best I've seen. That from a man with a personal library of some 70 - 80 books and many video & DVD documentaries regarding the Native peoples, their culture, their ancient way of life, their religious / spiritual beliefs and their struggles of life and death. Since my earliest childhood, I've had great respect and admiration for these enduring peoples. I play the Native American Flute, am a Flint Knapper and my wife does Plains Style Indian Beadwork. Thanks again, Ron.

Comments:Finally someone not trying to sell something! I will remember this sight when my grand children need imformation on American indians. There is such a great history of the people and traditions .Unless a child lives in an area where there is an indian population or they have the chance to know someone of indian decent , they would never know any of the things you are showing.I got on this sight looking for a name for a wolf dog who wandered onto a mans property during a snow storm about a month ago. He needs a home and a name.He is a big dog. I named him Waziah, Giant God of the North. Thanks for a good sight. Rose

Comments:Your site is beautiful and very informative. Thank You for the chance to learn so much. about things that have traditionally been glossed over in most public school systems.

I have always admired Everything Native American, while fully believing that Europeans finding this continent was a horrible travesty that brought far more misery than was ever their right to inflict on anyone.

As a person of European decent who admits that the wrongs of the past can not be undone, please tell me where and whom I can write to in order to urge the US and State Governments to better honor all treaties with your nations; as well as to give you proper aid should it be needed, without costing your people any more than you have already lost? If you think my voice can help you at all, ask and I will gladly raise it on your people's behalf.

Sincerely Yours,
Amy Simeister

Comments:I have been studing the Lakota traditions for years now. I was told in a dream that a Lakota teacher would teach me.I was to wait for this teacher. This was about 5 years ago. I have since been open to the knowledge the Lakota people have to share and listen for the words and writings of the teachers.

Also have been working with dreaming. Reading books by Robert Moss - Dreamways of the Iroquois, The Lakota Way by Joseph Marshall, and Animal Speak by Ted Andrews.

I was very excited to find your web page with so many beautiful writings and pics. I was glad to see your dedication to passing on authentic stories and history so we can all have the opportunity to learn of the ways of people who have much to teach us.

Blessings to you at Christmas time.

Comments:My great grandfather was Lakota. He was one of the children taken from his family in South Dakota and sent to a military school. My mother and I have tried hard to keep some traditions alive that he taught to my grandmother, but I have found that there is still a lot that I don't know. Your website is helping me with this process, and I hope to be able to instill these traditions in my children and grandchildren. My Native heritage is something that I have always been very proud of, and with what I am learning here on your website, that pride grows.

Thank you.

Comments:I have been searching for my ancestor who was a full blood Native American. She married my great grandfather in Tennessee in the early 1800's. Her maiden name (English) was Elizabeth and she married Robert Jackson Sauls. They had several childrem. My grandfather, an indentured servant, moved to Forney, Texas in the early 1900's at the age of 21. I feel a strong bond with Native Americans, but want nothing material, just to know where I came from and ask to be recognized as a brother.
