I found this site whilst looking for info on the XR4i. I am just in the proccess of buying a rally prepared one off a friend of mine. I am just about to start up rallying again after a gap of about 18 years,I packed it up in the early 80's(having had loads of Escorts and finally a TR8.)I won a forest stage championship in 1980 over here in Wales,probably even in the forests you used in the Rally school you attended. In those years it was getting too expensive to be competative,with all those 4wheel drive group B super cars, being used by the guys that had big bucks. I intend to use this XR4i for tarmac road rallies, which have over the past 3 or 4 years suddenly shot back into popularity, and now are similar again to the great days of the 1970's Motoring News Championship days. They now have a section for virtualy standard cars (similar to group N). I'll keep a look in your site now and again to see how you are doing over there |
