COMMENTS:	Hello I just stoped by to try and learn somethings about the siberian husky. Recently my wife had bought me a siberian husky puppy name Sasha, while I am deployed. I just wanted to know what to expect from our new husky and don't want to be getting any kind of surprises upon arrivial back home. I also know that any animal is like a human when it comes to having someone new come around or in there life. Rabies vaccination is the one immunization required by law across the country for domestic dogs and cats, and researchers believe this vaccine causes the most and worst adverse reactions in animals. According to the August 2003 Journal of Veterinary Medicine, a research study by M. Vascellari and colleagues documents cancerous tumors in dogs at the presumed injection sites of rabies vaccinations. Although pets used to be vaccinated yearly for rabies, the majority of state protocols now require re-vaccination every three years. There are scientific data indicating that vaccinating dogs against rabies every three years is unnecessary. Results of Michel Aubert’s French challenge study published in 1992 demonstrated that dogs were immune to a rabies challenge 5 years after vaccination and the serological studies of Dr. Ronald Schultz (Professor and Chair of the Department of Patho-biological Sciences at the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine) have shown that dogs have antibody titer counts at levels known to confer immunity 7 years after vaccination for rabies. The Rabies Challenge Fund has been founded to improve the safety of rabies vaccines and to determine, by challenge, if they confer immunity for 5 or 7 years. In 1965 she joined the New York State Health Department in Albany and began comparative studies of animals with inherited and acquired bleeding diseases. Her position there began as a Research Scientist and culminated as the chief of Laboratory of Hematology at the Wadsworth Center. In 1980 she also became Executive Director of the New York State Council on Human Blood and Transfusion Services. This work continued full-time until 1986 when she moved to Southern California to establish Hemopet, the first non-profit national blood bank program for animals. “Certainly, veterinarians are aware of the adverse reactions that can occur after rabies and other vaccinations in dogs and cats,” Dodds said. “The public is the body most motivated to address the issues here, because it is some of their beloved companions that have suffered by the existing regulations.” Other beneficial research to be financed by The Rabies Challenge Fund will be a safety study of adjuvants used to enhance the immune response in veterinary rabies vaccines. They were beautiful pups and went to wonderful homes. Several of them went to friends and relatives so we see them quite often. (Tyler and Sasha can be proud grandparents.) I know of several other people who may be interested in lab puppies so if you know of any good breeders in the Quincy area, please let me know. Abby still goes duck hunting and does an awesome job. Our married daughter, Molly Fitzgerald of Hinsdale, IL, bought the Lab puppy on your website, the son of Tyler and Sasha. We were with them over Thanksgiving and fell in love with 'Fischer'. He is a calm, beautiful dog with a beautiful head and coat, who doesn't seem to shed like so many others that we have seen. My husband and married son hunt and we are interested in not only a hunter, but a pet for our home (an inside dog.) COMMENTS:	Loved your web site. We are fairly new at breeding Siberian Huskies (only 3 years). We mainly breed for pets. I really like the looks of the pups you've had with the full mask faces, especially the black with the color all the way done their noses. I am looking for a true jet black with full mask and brown eyes for my daughter. I bought her first husky when she was 12 years old and we lost him to parvo several years ago. She has been in search of another like him ever since. We would really like to get into training all of our pups for therapy dogs and agility and show. Please let us know about your next litters.

I e-mailed you awhile ago, but I wanted to sign the guest book. I have been a avid lover of Siberian Huskies since I was 12 years old, and I had Juneau for 9 1/2 years until he developed cancer, and had to be put to sleep. It was easily the most difficult experience of my life. It has been over 2 years, and although I think about my Juneau every day and will remember him forever- it is definately time to have another Husky pup in my life. We definately are going to purchase a puppy from you whenever you have your next litter- I sure hope it's soon because I am so excited!! (I know you have some adorable pups available now, but I am a full time college student and I will be very busy until around February or so. We had been dealing with seizures for years and had them pretty much under control but his heart finally gave out. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I guess I just thought I could have him forever. He was such a good dog. I got him when he was 2 and I think we were meant for each other. From the day I got him he was the most lovable and loyal companion. My other dog is really missing him so I want to get another puppy but just not right now. COMMENTS:	Hi, I just finished looking at your dogs, beautiful. I have had German Shepherds since 1979. Our last Shepherd, Sable, just died on July 6, 2002. She had many health problems that we didn't know about, when purchased. After Having her for a few weeks I could not take her back. We decided to keep her and give her the best life possible. She was 4 when she died of a heart attack. Our Shepherd before her, Tracker, was 13 when he had to be put down for his hips. He was a wonderful dog, our daughter was 8 months old when we got him and our sons where 2 and 5. So he really grew up with them. Our oldest son was a senior in high school when he had to be put down, so as you can imagine it was a really hard time for our family. We had gotten Sable about 5 months before Tracker was put down. We also have a 9 year old Chihuaua, ChiChi, she is ruler of the house. She did very well with the big dogs. She has been different with no other dog, the first few weeks we where a little concerned, but she is doing good now. My daughter, Sara, will be 16 at the end of the month. And she was just diagnosed with Lupus the end of May. She took Sable's death very hard. She always slept with Sara. So we are hoping to get a new puppy in the next few months. We have often talked about a Huskie or Boxer, but I always go back to the shepherds. But when Sara saw your huskies she went crazy. She wants a black with bi-colored eyes. She loved the 1 blue and 1 brown eye. We live 50 miles southeast of Pittsburgh. My husband said no when we asked him to drive to Ill., but he will do anything for his little girl. So I am interested in a Huskie puppy of yours. I loved that dark red and white female of yours, I don't remember the name. I think it said she was born in 2001. Do you breed her? I would love a pup that dark color of red. Although Sara did like the dark pups. Please let me know. Thanks, Joyce A. Camp

We are interested in purchasing a male Siberian Husky puppy with blue eyes and preferably a black and white coat. They are wonderful dogs. My Sadee Belle is 9 months old. She's like a child to me. Everyone laughs because I treat her as a person and they laugh when I tell them that she talks to me. COMMENTS:	We have 2 Labs that came from Silver Moon Kennels and we couldn't ask for better dogs. Sammi is going to be 2 years old on May 31st and is from Abbey and Tyler's litter. She has one of the sweetest personalities and is a great dog. Noah turned 1 on Dec. 22nd and is one of the most beautiful male labs I have seen. He is from Sasha and Tyler's litter. We get stopped frequently when out with them with comments on what beautiful dogs they are. I have also had the opportunity to have a couple of her Siberian Huskies in obediance class with our dogs and they have wonderful personalities as well. I would recommend anyone wanting a top quality dog to visit Lesley at Silver Moon Kennels.

There is nothing more beautiful than a Lab in full stride doing what they love the best, retrieving what you just threw for them. My in-laws just had to put their 12 year old Shih-Tzu down this past Wednesday. This only intensified our search for another dog. Our dog, Bailey, and "Bubba" were great friends. Bailey needs a new playmate!
