I'm writing a long-overdue letter to say thank you for the opportunity to have Marley in our lives - even for a short while. My daughter, Mikael, learned so much from Marley and it was a joy to watch them "in action". That is one classy pony! I only wish I had been able to capture the moments in some better photos - nevertheless, I'm sending along a few shots of them together. Marley certainly brought a lot of joy and pleasure. We hope that the trip home for Marley was uneventful and that she is now safely - and happily - back home at her own barn. We'll miss spoiling her with apples and carrots and hugs. Thank you again. Jill Weinstein here! Just wanted to let you know how happy the Nievergelt family and I are with "Britlyn's Worth The Wait" aka " Nate". Holland showed him for the first time last weekend at Sandy Point in the Maiden eq. and the pre- childrens eq. The pair won the maiden eq fences, and the pre- childs eq. fences 1st trip - they would've won the second as well but I was so thrilled with their trip the I started clapping before her last fence - oops! Rosebud.... I just wanted to give you the happy update. She is WONDERFUL. My daughter Hunter still loves her (well, so do I!) and we own her and always will, but she is currently living with a new family with two young daughters who love her now too. And they have come to feel like she is an extraordinary part of their lives too. Part of the family. There were a few early years when she was a bit challenging for my daughter who was very, very young when we bought Rosie, or rather, Santa delivered her... and truly it was a magical delivery. The stall was decorated like a giant package and you have never seen a happier girl. Well, I think both the girl and the pony, for they loved each other at first sight. Anyway, as I was saying, even in the early years, I never felt that Rosebud was dangerous. She had some regular pony moments, but she was always and still is-- a gem. My life, as mom, and grand-pony-mom, got very complicated, so that I fell out of touch with you, as previous owners and the trainers of wonderful Rosebud. And, I have so much gratitude... you created an amazing pony, not only terrifically kid friendly and bottom-line safe (which to me, is the whole deal or deal-breaker), but Rosebud is gorgeous, a stunning mover and jumper. My hats off to you and your daughter for developing such a special, special pony. Thank you. So very, very much. I got reserve champion! in the eq i got 2nd, pleasure i also got 2nd, in the figure eight i got 1st, in the cross rails i got 3rd out of 5....Socks was the best pony ever!!! We should send her back but she is really sweet and WELL BRED, too, having Rodedale, Fairy Prine, Asgard Resolute, Kenfel, etc. in her lineage. Do you know of anyone in the Atlanta, GA area who can sort of "complete" our mare, or finish her that is gentle and doesn't cost an arm or leg?

| Comments: | Just wanted to let you know that we love "Socks". He is doing great. Maddie (age 4) has been learning how to trot, post and 1/2 seat on him and she even took him on a trail ride at Borderland yesterday (I led her while dad rode one of our big horses).
He is fitting right in with all of our other ponies and he and "Landsend Diana" are completely smitten with each other! Thanks again Cheryl! |
