Well, not a lot of people like the thought of babies being turned into vulgar and explicit gruesome detail. I don't think I necessarily approve of turning innocent babies like that, but it is just a doll. If everyone on here who hates the baby dolls really despise all this, then why aren't you cursing people who make horror films or The Child's Play series? Why do you have to attack this certain site? You are so very talented! I can see these dolls "starring" in a movie similar to Puppetmasters. These are awesome pieces of horror art and I commend you for continuing your work regardless of what others say about you.
Many will say that it is morbid, sickening, frightening, or even a sign that you need to be put in a mental institution, but if it weren't for the human curiosity in death and all that surrounds it, we wouldn't have TV shows like CSI, NCIS, Dr. G, or books on the subject, or websites like this and rotten.com. I find your work completely fascinating, mesmerizing, and terrifying. In each doll, I can see the high level of craftsmanship and artistry. Truly amazing. I am a parent myself and have no fear in regards to these works of art leading to my children getting murdered. I think they are all masterfully created and decorated. Your work is so detailed and realistic! If I were you, I would be taking other peoples' rude comment as compliments. Your work is obviously real enough to have touched them and hit some sensitive areas.
Honestly though, the people complaining about how horrific these guys are need to take several things into account. 1. Some of these portrayed deaths actually happen. Deal with reality. 2. No one is making you look through this artist's gallery. Don't like what you see? Go back to your Myspace or whatever. 3. Most of these idiots are probably hypocrites. Hi, my name is Eric Gibson. I'm making a series of reenactment videos of some instances of abuse that occurred when I was young. Basically I just went through a series of events where I met the person that did it to me and remembered that I was a victim of "ritual abuse". I'm making the videos for other people that I'm pretty sure he raped, and want to help them remember. It was so traumatic and frightening that I blocked it out for 13 years.
It turned out that the person is an "illusionist" pedophile, and is a master of latex. I need someone to make me some extremely realistic dolls, and it looks like you do work on par with him. I will pay. I don't have much money but I can give you a couple hundred bucks for each one (possibly just to rent them?). Here are the scenarios. The next thing I know the baby stops crying, and he walks out into the room holding a baby with latex gloves (I didn't realize it at the time it was a doll, it looked so real.) It was just a cute little sleeping baby. Theres a black box sitting on the dining room table. He goes Scott: "Open the box" I open the box Scott: "Take the baby" I take the baby. Scott: "Now put the baby in the box" I put the baby in the box Scott: "Now close the box. You look tired you should go to sleep." I'm kinda drunk so I go to sleep, and I wake up and I'm being raped. The rest of that part is kinda personal so I won't get into that, but I just went home and after it happened I had immediately blocked it out like it hadn't even happened. The next day I get a call again. "Eric do you know where to find some shrooms?" I answer yes and go over to his house, and he grabs a black bag and we go to the field. We pick some shrooms, I eat a couple, and he pulls me to the side and sits me down. He goes through a whole speal about the ancient mayans and how they used mushrooms and how they engaged in ritual sacrifice, blah blah. Then he opens the bag, and there is a blue and whitish baby, with it's face contorted like it had suffocated to death. He goes "You did that." So basically for the first project I need two babies, one that is just a cute tan little happy baby sleeping. The next one would be suffocated to death with it's mouth contorted in a scream. They have to look absolutely real. The second oen would be something that would frighten a child if they were to look at it. What do you think? First and foremost; I must comment on your skill. Amazing! Absolutely astounding detail and craftsmanship. Great understanding of anatomy. Though I only know artistic anatomy.
Second I must give you much gratitude. Death is not something one should fear, and those who would react poorly to your creative work is a little too sheltered. Yes, sick people could have, have, or are probably doing sick things to real people but it's not because of you. The sickness is inside them and they'll do it regardless of what you do. You do what you enjoy, creating wonderful grotesque things of the morbid nature. You make a living off of it! That's simply amazing, doing what you like. I am an artist looking for reference material on ocular damage for a piece I am sculpting. I hope you publish this with the other "comments." These are terrific!! Great talent and imagination. These dolls are very creative, yet, do NOT inspire me to go do horrible things to babies. They would be perfect for my Halloween haunted house. I have to laugh at the panty-wetters who deride your creations, then wish the worst fate to you. They have more psyche problems than you do. For the record, I was raised around death and dying, (my step-dad was a mortician for a midwest medical school and my mother was a nurse, and I'm a retired paramedic/EMS helicopter pilot, so I've seen my share of autopsies on adults and babies.)

You know it's not everyday I'm completely stunned out of my opinion and torn in two places. I think on both sides of the controversy people are over reacting, I believe in expression, no one's getting hurt and as long as I don't have to wake up with one of them next to me what could I say? I have to compliment the craftman ship, and I don't believe this stuff encourages people to hurt babies - hell did you know people who are addicted to sex curb their addictions by watching porn? - I'm not saying it's helping either. The fact that you chose to express them in this way is very sane and proves that you are not the one who they should be worried about. My guess is that if your negative critics were able to look in the minds of many graphical artists, they'd be shocked, because they simply may not be creative enough to come up with such images themselves or to cope with them when they see them. But You're not the first to stir up a little controversy. I'm certain Francis Bacon and H.R. Giger (who are now concidered great artists) had their fair share as well. It just shows that you'll always have a minority who thinks they are on the moral high ground and who will scream at anything that's not part of their everyday world.
