Likewise I think that people who have such a problem and feel the need to voice it--and even as far as insult your work--are rahter narrow minded. While it's one thing to have an opinion, it's another to look at absolutes. I mean, it's OBVIOUS if someone has any interests outside the 'norm'--whatever that is--there's something wrong with them. O.k. I have a beautiful, 3yr. old little girl and I am a lover of horror movies as well. Nothing about these dolls makes me want to engage in any atrocious act against an infant or child. I have read most of the comments and boy do you guys take some shit. Obviously you are not too popular with the masses but I understand and respect their opinions.
I wouldn't own one of these dolls for the simple fact that I don't do dolls of any kind. Just plain creepy...all of them. However, I don't feel like these dolls would "drive" someone to do such things. If they did, you would have to question the persons state of mind to begin with. And something else the majority is missing is the fact that our FUCKING FAILURE OF A JUSTICE SYSTEM is what enables monsters who do this sort of thing to CONTINUE. Yeah,some of these dolls are hard to look at but it's just a doll. Horror fans dig the movies because at the end of the day we know the actors go home. VIEWING it and DOING it are polar opposites. I think that 98% of the owners of these dolls are quite sane and mentally healthy. And to the angry inch that wished death upon your children and family...where is their mind? A friend of mine sent me to this site and I was a bit curious to see. I have seen the dead kids addition and another site that boasts creepy dolls, and I was ok with that too. I am a horror fanatic, been that way for years and nothing really phases me. With that being said, I think that this really crosses a line. I have 2 grown children and a 2 1/2 year old granddaughter that I couldnt even imagine seeing something this vulgar. I frankly see no merit in selling these types of dolls not to mention the pain I could imaging some parent comming across this site after losing a child. As I was reading some of the comments in the controversy box I have noticed that people are talking about little children having nightmares from seeing these dolls. I have a couple of question for all of those people! WHAT IN THE HELL ARE YOU DOING ALLOWING A CHILD TO BE ON SITES THAT ARE APPARENTLY INAPPROPRIATE FOR THEIR AGE? Freaky as CRAP. And very real-looking. It's certainly unsettling, but since I *know* that it isn't real (I've seen abortion pictures, and that is all it took to make me permanently pro-life), I can go, "WOW...creepy, but interesting."
Definitely a little icksome. I think it all looks like something out of the Hellblazer comics. While some people would find this vulgar, I have to say I find it some amazing work. Yes, I have a 13 y.o. here at home but as we looked over this art together, he made a couple concise observations.
It's only been in the last 160 years that the human fascination with death has been declared as vulgar and 'not right'. Of all the people who come here to piss and moan, how many of them have stopped to stare at a traffic accident, watched horror films with glee or say someone 'got what they deserved' after dying heinous deaths? To me, they are hypocrites and should think before they speak. We also discussed that these ARE works of art - displayed or utilized by their owners as they choose - as is all art. We both started to giggle saying this is what the nursery in Cenobite hell must look like. Now, that's morbid as hell but holy shit people - this is merely the display of hypothetical deaths. No one was injured to create these (unless the artist managed to skewer a finger or two) wee things and in the long run, it's the ultimate recycle job. I'm sure someone in Hollywood or other film making community has been begging for work from this guy and I say Kudos to you for the more exposure you get. To those of you out there who just can't get over the fact that it is YOU who has made death a dirty little secret and are unable to face these creations with open minds. What in the fuck were you expecting? The bloody website is called AUTOPSYBABIES - what did you think it was gonna be? And if you were looking for autopsy pics - then you're a sicker bastard than you want to believe. Get off your self-righteous high horse and take your hypocritical selves elsewhere. Leave the site to those who can see these for what they are - art for the sake of creation, not pleasing the masses. By the way, my 13 year old son can tell the difference between what is false and what is real. Although I may not understand your vision, I can still admire your work. What you have here may be a bit disturbing to some, hell it was disturbing to me. However I still see it as art, your own vision made real. I could only wish to ever have a third of your talent.

Your work is so detailed and realistic! If I were you, I would be taking other peoples' rude comment as compliments. Your work is obviously real enough to have touched them and hit some sensitive areas.
Honestly though, the people complaining about how horrific these guys are need to take several things into account. 1. Some of these portrayed deaths actually happen. Deal with reality. 2. No one is making you look through this artist's gallery. Don't like what you see? Go back to your Myspace or whatever. 3. Most of these idiots are probably hypocrites. You probably own nice leather shoes and such. Most of the animals your clothes are made of were still alive to feel themselves being skinned. I would worry more about wearing dead skin as "clothing" than freaking out over dollies. | |
