AARP and VITA that's right!!!! Look up AARP on your computers and find your locations! It doesn't matter about age,income,or if you itemize!! IT IS FREE!!! Most of the people who volunteer; are retired accountants,bookkeepers,and statisticians. They also have people there to review and do a double take!! The Man who did my taxes yesterday,told me that I was generous to my Church. I had to tell him, I believe in the word of Jesus! Tithes/Offerings,and Donations took me up Sisters!!! Our JESUS is amazing!!! For the past 4 years,God has increased me in my refund from my taxes!!! How is that possible in an so-called economic depression? Wow!!! Trust in the LORD Sistas,give to him who made it possible for you to be Blessed with your Education,Good Jobs,and Businesses!!! Do you realize,that Sam Wal-Mart Tithe 90% of his income and he lived off of the %10? Now his legacy are Billionaires? In 2012,TRUST in JESUS with your finances and everything else okay? God said to be Holy,because he is holy! Watch the company u keep,don't gossip,don't lie,don't fornicate,don't commit adultery,don't be busybodies,don't be jealous,don't be envious, and don't cheat on your friendships/relationships. Rememeber to show kindness to people,but be wise in your dealings!! Know those who labor among you! Participating in the Miss Black & Gold Pageant a guarentee positing in becoming AKA? I have noticed that most females that made AKA were in the Miss Black and Gold Pageant (either prior to applying for AKA or during rush, (having practice for the Miss Gold and Black Pageant at the same time if not before rush)). Could I include this on my AKA application, since I will be helping the Alphas with community service, and I am a part of the Alpha Kourt? Also, is it true that it is a guarentee that females participating in the Miss Black and Gold Pageant has a spot as a AKA? (Because like I said all the girls that I know that participated in the pageant became a AKA). |

I'm a new mommy (well, my lil' girly-girl is two years old), have witness some important people in my lives go home to glory to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, live six months a year in my home country, and am now preparing and positioning myself alongside my hubby for ministry. Also many of us have found out that Fox News is very biased and racist at times,especially that Sean Hannity guy. Forever raising questions about Obama but never about Palin? Then he just loves Rush Limbaugh! Give me a break! So again MSNBC and CNN are the best election new coverage. Let us all continue to pray for Jennifer Hudson's losses. My heart was really saddended by the news. I pray to GOD besides her estranged brother-in-law, I hope her ex-boyfriend didn't play a part. Let us also continue to pray for that news anchor woman that was beat to death in her home. Another strange case, I refuse to believe that it was random. But GOD knows who he or she is. Let us also continue to pray for those two arkansas students from the central university. Last days like the bible has stated veggie soupies. Make sure you are ready!! | Comments: | Hi lovely ladies. I need to get some advice from you. I currently am aware of the admission process for the undergraduate chapter of AKA. I have community service (I volunteer at an domestic abuse shelter). I am involved in several organizations at my school (Psychology Club, and an African American Women club). I have a B avg. cumalative gpa. My question is these.. I haven't had the best luck in College. I started my undergraduate studies at one school, I stayed there for one year, and then I transfered to another university. To complete my undergraduate studies in 4 years, I should have graduated in May 2008. However, due to transfering schools, and changing my major, I won't graduate until May 2009, exactly one year later, or some people may say one year late. The AKA undergrad chapter at my school only has a line/probate in Spring of each year. So if I go through the pledge process, and am accepted (hopefully), I would not cross until late March/early April. Then I would graduate in May.My plans post graduation are to attend graduate school, possibly out of state. Should I pledge undergraduate? If I do will I form the bond with my chapter's sisters? Will my chapter respect me? Or should I wait and hope that a graduate chapter near my graduate school will invite me to their chapter? This isn't advice I would be able to get from national website.

I wanted to ask you all for your prayers. My dear friend is a member of a graduate chapter in Petersburg, VA, and her son is currently hospitalized. All that I know is that he has fluid on his brain from a sinus infection and had to be hospitalized yesterday. I am very worried for him and for her, and since she is like a sister to me, I wanted to come and ask her Sisters to help me lift her and her son up in prayer. I will keep you all updated.
