The Richfield Coliseum was brand new, and considered by many the nicest arena in the nation. It was, unfortunately, truly removed from the city. Wish hockey was still here, and I wish I could buy an old Barons jersey.... |

I found your site this evening. I live in Pittsburgh, and as you could imagine a big Penguin/Lemiuex fan. My second favorite player is Perry Berezan. He is a "class act". I was excited to read about your encounter with him. I met him in 1988 while on a flight from Minneapolis to Winnipeg to visit my girlfriend(now wife). He was flying with the North Stars to play the Jets. Perry and Rob Zettler were sitting together. When I saw him the second time months later in Pittsburgh, he treated me like he knew me for years. One day, the mailman delivered an envelope from the North Stars. Perry autographed a photo and sent it to me! It is one of my most prized possessions. He and I met on numerous occasions after that, meeting both before and after games. I saw him in Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay, Winnipeg, and San Jose. Here is some hockey trivia: Remember Lemieux's famous playoff goal against the North Stars when he went coast to coast....Perry was on the ice.....I used to jag him about that!! The memories of being an 18 year old and Perry treating me like an old friend are something I'll never forget. I'm now 34 years old. It sounds like you had a similar encounter. If you ever see him again, please tell him that my wife and I say hello and that we are still living in Pittsburgh! |

It is a great web-site and I have bookmarked it simply because I will continue to pull it up and check things out on it. I'm not sure I would consider myself a true hound. I have some hockey autographs on pucks. Those are what I love to get autographed. I like to collect and get signed 8x10 color goalie shots. I decided one day before the Stars won the cup to try and collect autographs. I believe it all happenened when I drove by the hotel by accident and saw the other team's bus in front. I started from then on getting souvenir pucks signed. I would go to the hotel, wait just inside(inconspicously). When a player would walk by I recognized or checked my little cheat photo-sheet I would ask nicely. There were a few times I waited outside for the players to walk to Reunion. It was great until they built the AAC. It's a nice facility but the bus goes down under to a restricted area. They did a renov. of the Hyatt and the last time I tried about two years ago I bombed. I walked in when the Panthers were there. The hotel people have or had at the time two designated "goons". The "goons" would walk each player or players out of the hotel and right up to the bus entrance. I managed to ask the goalie for his auto before he stepped on the bus and he sneered at me and said NO very adamantly. I was also asked to leave the front of the hotel. I was glad to see the game on the tube that night and watch said goalie suck and get pulled in the game. Like I said I have only a few pucks,Teemu Selanne,Damian Rhodes,Ron Francis,Pierre Turgeon,Todd Marchant,Stephane Richard,& Derian Hatcher. The only goalie photo I have is Marty Turco. I still collect pucks and photos of goalies(what I can find down here). I hope I did'nt bore you with my dribble. Sorry if I did. I spent the day in office scoping out you whole site and bookmarking it. It is relly the best on the net I've found. Keep up the good work and the Chara photo was hilarious. |

Andrei Nikolishin sent his autograph postmarked from the Olympic Village which was an extra treat. Hasek sent his back in 9 days! I was amazed and encouraged to send for others! |

| Comments: | I was viewing your Predators pics of Dunham, and I noticed your comment about the Preds "selling out every home game" Im not wanting to be a know it all, but that is very far from the truth, they have had attendance problems since their second season, it has dropped slowly since the end of their expansion season. They only had 8 sellouts last season, and have had only 2 or 3 this year. Their only sellouts were both Detroit games, and the home opener vs St Louis. Toronto only drew 13,000, Colorado not much more than that. Nice set of autographs though, very nice collection you have... Take Care. |
