Testament was awesome, Megadeth was pretty decent, I was down front behind the pit, and I didn't get as good of an experience as I did for SLAYER (I went to grab a seat for slayer).All in all they all sounded good--of course I wear ear plugs; I try to tell people that ear plugs make loud music sound better, 'cause the muffling makes the bass, drums, vocals, and guitars blend better--BUT me and some of my friends were bewildered and somewhat disgusted by a lot of Jeff Hanneman's lead playing. for instance, for some reason, during 'seasons in the abyss' he did not play the actual lead part. what he did play was the same mindless fret wankery that he played instead of the actual leads that are featured on the studio versions of several other slayer classics. WHY? I don't know but I do find it troubling. As a guitarist myself, I undersand that some performers like to play something different live, especially in regard to songs they've played over and over; and this is cool if what you play instead is actually cool!!!! But what Jeff was doing gave me the impression that he just didn't give a shit, and as SLAYER's #1 fan, this really bothers me. --mad mike
