As a pagan omnivore, I find the vegetarian and vegan paths, when properly done, to be quite noble, but as you stated also see the plants and the animals as equals--uprooting a carrot is as "bad" as killing a chicken. My only gripe is with how industry has turned our food into an abuse because of the chemicals you mentioned as well as the foul conditions food animals often live and die in. I support family-run farms whenever possible and am the healthier physically and spiritually for it. Cheers to you! |

was Agnes Leckie Mackenzie, whose family originated from Glascow and came to Canada in the 1800's (her father). I married a Stewart in 1975. I've worn the Stewart tartan for years for the benefit of my son, but I like the Black Watch tartan myself, as my great-uncles Kenneth and Andrew Mackenzie fought in the Black Watch in WWI, originating from the Black Watch armory in Montreal, Canada. Only one of them returned. Have wanted to attend highland games for past few years but never have anyone to go with who has any interest in such things... |
