Upon reading about your grandfather on your web site, I found out something interesting. Your great uncle, your grandfather and my grandfather served together in the 5th Battalion THE CAMERONIONS (Scottish Riffles) No. 2 Company who landed in France 5 November, 1914. At the time of this roll your Uncle was the Lance Corpl. and your grandfather and mine were rifflemen together. My grandfather clipped a small newspaper article during WWI and it appears your grandfather and mine were both listed as the wounded. | Comments: I am enjoying your site. I grew up in the UK (1949 to 1970)and I now live in the USA (1972 to 2004). I'm a WW1,WW2 and Korean War History enthusiast. I'm not a war lover, I'm just a history lover. Your WW1 pictures are fantastic and thanks for sharing them with us. I lost 6 Welsh miner great uncles to the trenches of WW1. I think I have others that died in mines of Wales. I don't want them to be forgotten by my family.
