| Comments: | This is the first time we visited the school website. Well done. Recently, one of ACS most dedicated individual pass away at the age of 58. He is Mr. A. Thannimalai. We all called him Mr. Thani. He has spent most of his time at school developing Scouting and Hockey. Truly a great man and we missed him dearly.
Upon his demise, we realised that the current school administration should put in more effort in bringing back the old boys. I believed that most of us would like to be invited back as there's too much fond memories in the good old ACS. It's going to be 100 years old and if I may suggest, have an e-forum and get ideas from these old boys on what can be done in order to make the Centennial Celebration more memorable. Just a thought.. | Comments: | I really enjoyed my life in ACS in those wonderful days from primary school right up to secondary days. I have learnt great lessons from great teachers like Alex Lim, Pancharnadan, Siow Mun Ling, Jaib Singh,Tan Tai Liew and many more. Our badminton coach at that time was Gopal Pillay helped us to become state champions. I still recalled that we started to win the badminton Malacca interschool under 18 championship in 1980. Those were sweet memories that I do not forget. After that, the effect of producing several, prominent state players that made us proud of ACS.
We had dedicated coach, Gopal Pillay and teachers that made us felt wonderful and sense belonging of the school. U guys did a wonderful job by creating this website of the school-ACS. I was a former student in the then ACPS and ACSS. Together with some of my other sibblings left the school in the early 70s for a working career. Cherrio for the job well done in promoting the identity of the school. It was then known as Anglo Chinese Primary School and Anglo Chinese Sec School. (A Methodist school-where we have a period they called "Chappel" lesson on every Friday). |
