Oh by the way, what a load of Marxist drivel and typical anti war drivel in some comments.
God help you when you are placed under sharia law.

Comments:Pure genuis Shug, modern social surrealism, it could catch on, what you should look at is some of the exponents of Glasgow School of Art and their work in Hyper-realism and how it ties in with the social realist tradition and Marxist philosphies. Also, and from an arts education point of view you might want to look up my mate Tim Rollins, who taught some of the US's most promising young artists from the hispanic community in the Bronx NY. This guy not only turned his kids into the infinite depths of the world of visual art, but also towards a greater understanding of themselves and the politics that envitably dis-empowered them, which enlightened them to challenge issues intellectually and imaginatively. Other than that I'm a great fan of all your work from 33 onwards from oils on canvas to 35mm photo-montage and your utilisation of current digital technology. Your community artwork even pre-SNAP, when all the nations TV cameras were showing Luton as a violent, run down troubled hot-spot, you showed the public a different insight with your camera, beautiful lanscapes and of course a happier, healthier youth within the frame. Real Verite` mate. You give hope to a lot of people, myself included, you have a lot to say about your community and the world at large with true depth, feeling, humility and all the hallmarks of a good British artist and probably the most compassionate and selfless person working in british art today. Especially in South England when one constantly sees so much over egotistical work in major galleries which pull the wool over the critics eyes with up their bum statements on contemporary society with exhibits like "piece of toast" where the distinct lack of marmalade prompts us to suggest that it is a metaphor for the quasi-pseudo empirical dillema of diluted dimensions which are responsible for the very fabric of our existence, kind of thing. You see they need Bullshit to justify a piece of toast, where as in your work you don't need bullshit, to justify it, it speaks for itself, QUALITY. Well done on SNAP and I hope you go on to do more projects and don't become stagnant or dormant or stale (even though it pays the rent) perhaps even try some cinematography next that would be really cool, I would love to see that. I also hear on the grapevine that your nuturing a young video/film maker I think his name is Mark Wool, I got the chance to see his first few wee bits and a piece on drama thearpy for children with learning difficulties called Dramability, Excellent this young man will go far, well I don't expect anything less from your young protoges and a few others are already making the grade, couple of photographers doing HND and cartoonists. Keep the Luton community arts flag flying Hughie, you 've done more than we expected. And a Yo! from big Dave AKA ZUcos the mighty.. and Chris and the cat.

Comments:Hi people, SNAP arts will have to be the best for drama, meeting new people, communicating, photo shoots and for having a laugh. It was SNAP arts who really got me into Djing and Producing. I went to snap arts about 2 years ago and what a place, great fun. I also helped snap arts with Children in need by producing the soundtrack. I knew a few people from there like, Huge, Sue, Zara, Yassar, Imran, Luke and loads more. Two years ago I went to The Welbeck Centre, Luton in High Town and there the ones who introduced be to SNAP ARTS. So people give SNAP ARTS ago, go there and have a laugh.
