| Comments: | I am also a survivor of Ovarian and Uterine Cancer, but I was fortunate not to have to endure post-op treatment (chemo and/or radiation). I did go through the "drill", having had my Gyn-Oncologist explain Carbo and Taxol because I was initially told I needed chemo. With a second and third opinion, it was decided that I had Low Malignant Potential ("LMP") and would have "watchful waiting" instead. I had exams every three months for the first two years post-op. I am now on a 6-month schedule for 10 years. Since my tumors (both ovaries) were LMP and slow-growing type tumors, I have to be watched closely for recurrence and would need surgery rather than treatment. Chemo works better on fast-growing tumors.

I am facing surgery real soon. I have an ovarian cyst, the size of an orange or larger. This was found on a catscan, after I complained of pain. My Doctor is very thorough and I am so thankful for that. There is a strange separation wall down the middle of the cyst, so they are sending me to a larger hospital. Hopefully to save me from two surgeries, they can take care of eveything if needed. Your testimony is what I needed. Don't know what I am facing, except Jesus will be there with me. | Comments: | When Beatrice first told me you had cancer I was shaken-up, but in the same sentence she said you were inspirational because of your faith in Jesus Christ. I was relieved to know that you are relying on the only source of our strength and hope.
When Beatrice sent me the link to your website, I was both eager to read your testimony and hesitant because I knew it would be an emotional experience. I can't begin to imagine how difficult and painful this has been for you. Nor do I feel that I have the right words to say. But, God's word does. Here are some scriptures that came to mind as I read your website: You may ask at times, why me? And, I think of Jesus' response to his disciples when they asked the same question regarding why the blind man was blind. "But this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life" John 9:3 You may think why does God allow us to go through suffering? And I think of Romans 5:2-5 "But we rejoice in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance and perseverance character and character hope. Now hope does not disappoint because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit he has given to us" You might ask, what hope do I have? And I think of Romans 8:18 "I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us" You might ask, what should I do now? And I think of Psalm 145:3-4 "Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise, his greatness no one can fathom. One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts". Sophia, from your website I can see you are living the answers to these questions. From your tribulations, your character is being strengthen, you have a sure hope, the glory of God is being relieved and lives are being changed. Thank you for sharing. Your story is most inspirational. For those in a crisis who have lost hope, stop and think again. As long as there is iife, there is hope ( there certainly should be, if there isn't) Miracles occur every day. I have experienced several miracles in my life. In April of 1999, the paramedics carried me out of my home at 2:00 a. m. in the morning as I was dying. I had huge blood clots in my lungs, from suffering a heart attack and a pulmonary embolism in October 1998. In April of 1999, I had gone into respiratory failure and I as I said earlier, was quite literally dying. In the ER, the doctors had a terrible time getting the lung specialist who was on call to come in as he was suppose to. He didn't show up until 7:00 a. m. And then there were many tests which were done, and this in itself prolonged my getting treatment. I was desperately fighting to breathe. I had a Saint Michael Medal around my neck and I just kept on praying and asking for help. Well, you know God hears every prayer and he answers every one of them.......in his own way.......in his own time. Mine was answered that night. My life was spared. I lost thirty per cent of the use of my lungs..........but I am alive and doing fairly well. My life was spared for a reason. You see God had a plan for me. I was to serve him and help others where I can. In December 2000, I put up my website. My first page is called "Prophecies From December 2000 to December 2001". I am a clairvoyant with the gift of doing blobal prophecy. And my rate of accuracy is about 98 to 99 per cent, thanks to the good Lord above. Never, never give up hope. No matter what your situation for you see God does hear your prayer and as the song says... " he sees every little sparrow when it falls". God Bless Carolyn aka Cherokee |

She was a healthy beautiful little girl, and we watched what cancer did to her, and she eventually had to get around in a wheel chair, because she wasn't able to walk anymore. She went through chemo(lost all her gorgeous hair) as well and had to have medicine administered to her through her chest by this attachement. We are no longer living in New Mexico, but she calls us quite often(her name is Angelica Torrez)and my daughter keeps in touch with her. She has told us that she is now in remission, and we pray for her all the time. I was very proud of my daughter because she was a great supporter for her best friend and went to visit her in the hospital and she would go to her house and help her and she also spent some Holidays with her. You and Angelica show great strength and courage, and I pray not only for you, but for everyone who has ever had cancer. God is truly watching over you, and he will continue.
