Comments:Am at work, but have 30 minutes to cruise Cobs websites. I will be looking for a foal this year. Prefer black colt and /or black or bay filly to establish a new breeding program of Cobs. Like your stallion at great deal and would love a black of either gender like your 2003 colt.(Have just gotten out of Warmbloods.) Then would like some advice on bloodlines ,etc as to where to buy the other youngster .I'll be breeding for dressage. Have left message on your home phone. Have a grand day! Spring can't be to far away.

Comments:I am just starting the process of looking for a horse/large pony I can ride and perhaps do endurance work with. I'm looking at several different breeds. I grew up riding. Haven't ridden consistently for many years - and I'm ready to get back into it. ( no kids at home; working regular hours) I have had 2 back surgeries. The last one was a fusion. I'm looking for a horse I can ride anywhere and have fun on. I grew up in Ct. showing - tho I have no interest in doing that again - I do love beautiful and willing horses. I am not looking to spend lots of money. Do you know of any older Cobs that might be looking for a good home with lots of TLC and fun??? I live in West Newfield, Maine. I've got miles of dirt roads and trails all around me. Any advice? Thanks. Mary Rohde

Comments:Hi Jackie, I thought that I would contact you to let you know that my family is proud and pleased to have Rangehill Abigail as our newest addition. I live in Spokane Washington and have 5 Pony Club kids ages 16-9. When I found Abigail for sale for a very low price, I contacted Lei Broadstone to see if she knew anything about her. Lei has helped me with other purchases for my kids. I was very cautious abut checking her out, but once I saw her handle and move, I knew that I had found a prize. I brought her home that day. I now have 3 cobs and a section B. We are so happy to have Abigail. I am her 5th owner, and I hope to be a stable long term home for her. She has had no problems adjusting to her new home. She is lovely and very sweet. I just thought that you might be interested in her story. Brenda Colvin

Welsh Cobs seemed like a good choice. Solid but not huge. I had a grade B Welsh mare as a kid and I loved her. Good luck with your equine kids.

Comments:So lovely to hear from you..was indeed sorry that a necessary trip to hospital eliminated time for a visit this side of the pond. Do come this next Spring or Summer...have a couple of Cobs that could do with some exercise and we have plenty of room. Absolutely smashing colts BTW. Ffraed and your sweet Pearl have once again repeated elegance, bone and delightful disposition from the looks of the photos in your black Colt. Quite stunning to have the looks, movement, while "staying COB"- all wrapped in a mink black coat... from the length of leg;he looks to go the size of your 2003 colt. Call as soon as you get your voice back. Emails are bouncing..not sure if it's my computer or yours ; thought I'd give your guest book email a go.

Comments: Grand to see quality in your group. Had seen your entire, Ffraed, at a Lampeter Show a few years ago; while on holiday in Wales. I usually ride big Irish horses and a few Warmbloods...but was delighted to see such flowing big dressage movement in a Welsh Cob. He was so well mannered and attentive while all was going on. I am also very partial to your Black Pearl mare, even though I am not in the market for another horse at this time Best Regards , V. Whitfield

Comments:Hi! I just found the photos of Ffaed. I´ve been trying to find pictures of him since I met him summer 2001. I was visiting Wales then (I´m from Finland), and the girl I stayed with was sort of taking care of him. He was just getting ready to go to Royal Welsh Show. He was the most beautiful horse and so well behaving being a stallion. I even have some photos of him. If I ever get to come to Uk again, I absolutely want to visit Ffraed. Even I "knew" him just for a month he´s stayed in my heart. He is so wonderful. I hope his doing well, and it would be cool to hear about him again, allthough it might be a little bit too much to ask. But tell him I love him and wish him well =) ,Thank you!

Comments:Hi, I am looking for a Welsh Cob 2006 foal. At this time I have a welsh cob by the name of Denmarks Sullivan out of Derwins Denmark. He is currently 10 years old and truly coming into his own. He was very high strung when he was younger. After having him for several years he has finally started to settle down. Are your cobs of a milder nature than the Derwin bloodline? I would like to start a cob foal myself. I would prefer a colt. Please advise me what you project for your crop of 2006 foals and the prices you anticipate for your foals. Thanks for any information you can send me. Joan Hall

Also thanks again for all the info ,ideas, and suggestions you gave me of where to look for a "mature COB " for a "mature" woman... Comments:No relation( last name )... but really like the Cobs. Was invited spectator at NY show to see the Welsh( looking for small one for my young daughter... and thinking of what I wanted to get into; and out of( Wmblds). Saw your stallion "Ffread" (sp?) and was really impressed that he was so well mannered with all the mares about and conformation and movement seeems so suited for performance under saddle.( I watched you along the outside road to the barn waiting for your class to start and walking back to his stall.) Do you have any young stock of his or are you expecting any next year? I particpate in dressage and event-2 of my horses. I also wondered what a TB cross would be like. Have Unlisted number ..will call this coming weekend in the evening when I am home from next show....emailing from PA on competitors laptop. Also ....Do you have a current video on the gelding Jack Daniels for viewing ?

I saw a grown filly of his the other day near Cardiff ..quite lovely, and graceful big mover. You should be able to get exactly what you are looking for with the combination of Pearl and Ffraed. Rod sold you a "grand set" I'd say. Contrary to everyone's thoughts they can do much more than just run with a show halter on. Grand dressage candidates and jumpers these Cobs are. Come stay with us this year!!!

Comments:Just had to pop in and tell you how much I liked your 2 yr old bay filly with the hard to prounounce name..I live in R.I. but was at the Oneco show as spectator getting my first taste of the Welsh breed and it's sections. Heard in the stands that it was a good turn out for the show. I ride Wmblds and am very tired of them:o(((((...the Cobs seems to have the action that would do very well in dressage. Would have loved to have seen your stallion there that I saw on your website.Curious as to his movement etc.Very nice conformation and showey color BTW ...haven't seen that except in an occasional Arab or AQHA.Will try to give you a call this week as much "is lost" with emailing. At work and must get off line.

Comments:Video of JD, Tess, and her 2004 filly very nice....filly looks quite abit like JD in bone and structure... chestnut foals are a wait and see I think as to their final coloring...but fun to watch the changes. Tess has really turned into a full fledged mare in her looks. Think she would also make great cross with TB's also - so many getting into "Sport ponies" . JD's dark liver with dapples is quite impressive to see esp in extended floating trot! We are hoping to make it to the show to see your new 2 yr old, depends on hubby's schedule.

Comments:Had just found your site while searching the Cobs. Like your JD very much and that colt that was inportrd in utero...was very nice...glad it sounds like he is headed for the show ring. Have been very impressed with the athletic ability that the Cobs seems to possess and the versatility for just about all disciplines. I am 5'1", (mid 40's) and am growing tired of the Warmbloods ...big wonderful movement, but occasional stubborness and a devil to get your leg around when your short. I event and am heavily into dressage. A full bodied built Cob sounds like it's made for me. Will try to give you a call this weekend when things slow down.2 things to think on...do you purchase for others and import,& what are you expecting for foals this year?

Comments:I found this website by mistake. The odd thing is though I have JD's half brother and the similarities are spooky! I thought it was my pony! He looks exactly like that especially when he puts his tail up!! We are in Yorkshire in England. Where abouts is JD kept?
