Norman had suggested a regular halter because my yearling has a big white stripe down his face & he thinks a web or rope is too much white. My cob came from Randy Bullard, there are no cobs in my area (Maryland),I currently have a home bred 1/2welsh pony I have successfully shown.Randy also uses web or rope halters on yearlings.Your other friend emailed me I will contact her also.

She's so nice natured and kind, her only fault is her blue eye. Nice to see a photo of Branwen I saw her at Rachel's place when she was youger. We bought a mare from Rachel and she was covered by Monumental Jack's Lad (Rachel's stallion ). She foaled 2 weeks ago.A beautiful little filly.

We are looking for a young stallion black or bay or liver chestnut to cross with our Haflinger and our Standardbred cross mares that we have for bay or black foals. We like the drafty type horses for driving and the Haflingers are getting too modern for our tastes.Tall and lanky. Enjoyed looking at your horses.

Comments:Your cobs are beautiful! I was amazed to see how alike Menai The Warrior is in his face to my section D gelding, Pleasington Harry (by Goyallt Magic Flyer, out of Pleasington Charlotte). Harry is an odd colour - you couldn't call him black or dark bay - he goes an odd dun colour in the summer..(if anybody has any idea what colour classify him, I'd be grateful). Anyway, he had a very kind face and big eyes with a little star on his forehead and is similiar to your Warrior :) I orignally got into Sec D's when we purchased Harry as a showjumping pony when I was 12 (I'm now 17)- and what a competition pony he is! As I am too old to compete in junior competitions now, he is currently ridden and competed by a 13 year olf buy, who has had much success competing in the British Show Jumping Association competitions. Intrigued by how versatile these ponies are, I purchased a 6 month old sec D filly in Oct 2001 (Rawcliffe Sian). She is mahogany bay and has four white socks and a blaze. She moves very well, and is a real beauty. She has just turned two. (Harry is 17 now, by the way) She is by Goyallt Dai and out of a mare called Rawcliffe Lady. She has already shown potential in the show ring, and I plan to take her to higher level competitions this year. She will also get lightly broken to harness this summer, and then broken to ride the following summer, when she is 3. I can't be without my section D's now -I think they are beautiful in the show ring but I love them for their versatility, which is why I like your cobs :) It was nice to see pictures of them jumping and competing in spheres other than general showing in-hand. I enjoyed looking at your site very much :)

We have seen Nebo Daniel and some other Derwen stallions, several yaers ago, when a friend was starting to breed welsh cobs. She has two derwen and lodor cobs. We are fortunate enough to have one of her offspring, by Decien Kings Flyer, from Cardigan in west Wales. Currently she is using a stallion called Gwynfeas Cwluch, a five year old which won at the Royal Welsh this year.

Pity the breeder never registered him in his year of birth, as it'll cost a packet to do unless she gelds him of course. He too is a lovely rich bay. Never of thought his dad would be overseas - fantastic!! Hope you have lots of lovely babies.

Comments:Hi, I have resently brought a 14.2 welsh cob, sec D mare called Pantanamlwg Heather. She is 16 years old and a real lady. i am only 14 and have had her about a month, we are getting on wonderfully. i would realy like to know more about her family tree. we know that her Sire is Twyford Druid, and her Dam is Pantanamlwg Blodwin, from her registration papers and her pedegree, but i would realy like to see some pictures of her family as she is so beautiful herself. If you know any links or have any infomation then please give me an e-mail. Regards Emma

Comments:Hi Wendy, I liked your website and would like to acquire further information on Menai. I currently have 2 Welsh Cob mares, one a 1/2 sister to Nocturn's Supreme Honor ou of Ligett's Black Bess and her daughter by Mynniford Megastar. I am currently expecting another foal in May. With the dam's bloodlines it is difficult to find suitable crosses to her that are not becominf line-breeding. I really like the breeding on Menai. Could you send me a copy of his bloodline and a video. I am trying to breed for dressage/sport Cobs. As a second level rider, I am always interested in a good mover and the bloodlines to excel in the sport horse industry. You don't have to have a 17.2 warmblood to compete- Kentchurch Chime proved that. Thank you again for a wonderful viewing. Melinda Cannon

Peter brought the colt out to show us and we took several pictures. He was quite impressive as a youngster - glad to see he has turned out so nice. Regards, Keith and Jenny.

Comments:I really enjoyed browsing through your website. I have been a fan of Welsh Cobs for about 15 years. I bred a foal from a thoroughbred mare by a Welsh stallion called Madeni Magic (by Nebo Black Magic). He won many high level competitions in England. I was most impressed with their careful jumping abilities and their pleasant temperaments. I bought a yearling Welsh Section D in May this year by Martleaves Satellite. Unfortunately, the stallion died after a tragic accident but the progeny is beautiful. He was in quite poor condition when I bought him but now he is looking very well and was Reserve Champion Yearling at a Welsh Cob show recently. I see you have quite a few welsh and some of them are from breedlines I recognise. I would love to hear your competition successes this next year and will keep my eye on your web site. Best of luck. Tracey
