| hello matt, cats & kittens. thanks to all who made my nightly drive to work in Pittsburgh so enjoyable. i started listening to xm at its start. today i called and cancelled my plan. when asked for the reason, i told them all about our "furry leader" and the blast we had with his show. surely i will miss a couple of the current hosts on xm 5 but the old format is gone and so am i. matt i hope you get cookin again.take care everyone and best of luck matt. |

| I dont know how to say what your show meant to me. It didnt just entertain, it became a very important part of my life. as a cross country truck driver you and your listeners became family to me. Lives became connected, problems were shared, while we enjoyed the best music in the world played by the best dj ever.I dont listen to 5 very much anymore, accept to occasionally check hoping to hear that you're back. Where will I ever hear the Mastertones or interviews with Ahmet Ertegun or Ernie Maresca again. I can only imagine the show you would have had in honor of the 50th Anniversary Of the Winter Dance Party in Clear Lake Iowa tonight. I compare this to the FM oldie stations that play Baby Love and Pretty Woman a hundred times a day. It was great to hear oldies I'd never heard before. | Over 2 years ago I bought the first of two XM receivers because of XM 50's on 5 and The Matt The Cat show. This spring I will not renew with XM unless Matt is back on. I quit TV for 5 hours each night during the week and listened to the Best show on the air. Tv still stinks and now XM joins them. Best of luck Matt. Hook-em Horns! |

| Hi Matt, I am deeply sadden to learn you are no longer showcased on XM radio. Your Harlem & Night Prowl Shows were outstanding especially from a 45rpm record collector's point of view. I've been collecting the RnB vocal groups etc. since the late 1960's. I was always amazed at the gems you came up with on your show. The showcasing of record labels & their artists was superb as well as the interviews. Any chance of your shows returning to XM radio? | What the hell happened? I turn on the XM expecting the Night Prowl show and I get..."Cousin Brucie" of all things! This is terrible and XM is going to hear from me along with my cancellation. Your show was the MAIN reason I ever subscribed in the first place. I guess I'm back to playing my old vinyl again. Friday nights on the patio won't be the same without the cat fight. | matt; haven't cancelled XM yet but my renewal comes up like soon... and guess what... all they'll get from me is a letter about how disgusted I am with their new 50's programming. I've had two receivers for ten years and I have to say I've never heard a Beetles song on xm5 until Cousin dickhead showed up and polluted my ears! It's good by siriusxm and back to my cassette player which was all I had before xm came into my life. I was in music heaven...and the best was to listen to the history of pop music from the 30s thru the 90s...and the other wonderful programing on XM! But the loss of Matt the Cat was the final blow. | Since the XM Sirius merger the programming has gone way downhill! How could they let you go??!! You were the best thing on the 50's! Loved Harlem, the whole night prowl thing. I will never forget the comment you made once when you played "Ain't that a Shame" by Pat Boone. You said that they ouht to have to pay you extra to play it. My sentiments exactly, although, I think that "Kokomo" by Perry Como is the all time worst cover version. Hope you hook on somewhere soon where I will be able to tune in. |

| Matt, via e-mails I have already sent you, you know how I feel about XM dumping your shows. Like I said, anyone can play the music, but it's your love and extensive knowledge of the music that always impressed me. I live in PA now, but spent most of my life in NJ, where I was a faithful listener of WCBS-FM, which played all the great doo-wops and group harmony sounds of the 50s and early 60s. It was taken off the air and replaced by "Jack FM", which had no DJs and just played crap, continuously. Well, the powers that be finally saw the error their ways, and put CBS back on, but now all they play is 60s & 70s pop,which you can hear anywhere. This feels like deja vu all over again. You introduced me to records I never heard before, and I always enjoyed hearing what you had to say. You are missed! |

C/S wanted to know Why!and I let them know..No Matt the Cat..NO Ken Smith..NO XM for me.I also told them my dissatisfaction at the way business was conducted with the 'acquisition' by sirius.
