|Comments:||I'm still searching... I was born at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis, IN on July 16 or 17, 1971 and adopted through St. Elizabeth's six days later. My birth mother was 4'-11" with brown hair and eyes and my father was 5'-11" with black hair and blue eyes. It is said my mother was finishing her junior year at a university majoring in eduation while my birth father had a high school diploma. Does any of this ring a bell? I would be intersted in any information available.
Thanks to all the birth mothers.
My name is Sarah Grace. I was born in July 2002.
My dad was adopted and needs to know health bio to make sure that I have all the information that we need to keep me healthy and happy. That's all he wants.
He was born at St.Mary's/St. Elizabeth's in San Francisco on Feb. 5, 1970. His birth name was Steven and Sorrenson could be his maternal or paternal last name.
Dr. Perlite delivered him at 7:33am.
My Gramma is writing this for me...she also was adopted and found her "birth" family 2 years ago. She also just wanted health info but, it turned out to be a great reunion.
My dad, at this point, just needs history for me and him.
If you have any info OR if you are the one please contact my Gramma.

I was blessed with a wonderful adoptive family and was raised well. I don't want to intrude on my birthmother's life, but I would love to meet her ... and tell her I love her for giving me the life she did.

|Comments:||WOW! I just found this site by accident. I was at St. E's in SF from April to July 1969. My house name was "Merle." I gave birth to a baby girl, "Regina" on 8/18/69, at Mary's Help Hosp. Childrens Home Society handled the adoption. The social worker told me that she was adopted by a catholic family with a son. The father was an architect and the mother was a teacher. (These details are somewhat sketchy.)|

|Comments:||My house name wa "Nettie". I gave birth to a wonderful son I named Steven 3/25/69. He ws born at Mary's Help Hospital in Daly City. I did't plan on giving him up at first but then my parents forced me to. I married Steven's father on 10/18/69. We had 2 other children, Nicole, and we named another boy Stevie. I tried to find him since he turned 18 but no luck. In February 1999, right before Valentine's day I got a phone call from my daughter. My dream had happened, her older brother had found on gthe internet were I had signed up to search and he called her. It was the answer to all my prayers. She gave me his phone number and I called him. We talked for along time and I cried for hours. Him and his wife drove up from San Diego to San Jose to meet me, his younger brother, grandmother, aunt, and cousin. It was a great day. Him and his wife have become a part of our family. It's like picking up after 30 years and never missing a beat. My other two children are his full brother and sister. His adopted parents had bth died before our reunion. I ended up going back to the home and getting my high school diploma and graduating. I am planning on taking him with me one day up there to show him ad see if we can find out anything. Just remember never give up, once he started looking it only took him a month to find me. There is a god and he saw fit to bring me and my son back together, the way it should have been. Francine|

|Comments:||Out of the blue - found your site. I've done VERY casual search for a few years for my birthmother. Seems as though most of the comments are from the adopted children ... what do we need to do to open the lines of communication to birth parents who at one time or another were severely ostrasized in the midst of giving the most generous gift of life? I wish more of the birth parents could log on and find you. I know that some day I will find either of my birth parents, but in the meantime, I have no strong feelings except for the natural curiosity of the adopted child - I have been so blessed to have the best parents in the world! The discovery of a child that one had lovingly given to another family is definitely one of life's "full circles" and should be available to all - I know ... I gave up a daughter born on Mother's Day ... she was inquisitive enough, and gifted with wonderful adoptive parents, and she found me after her 18th birthday! Life may not always be easy, but it is certainly happier with more OPEN communications. We need to change some of the laws! Get involved!|

|Comments:||Thank you, Anne (aka Debra Anne). I always felt a bond between myself and the baby girl I gave up for adoption. ANd, I think that I always believed that we would find each other. I do know that I never gave up looking for her. If I had I wouldn't have made the connection when I inadvertently met her at a girl scout camp. Ours was the old fashioned closed adoption. After she was born I always looked carefully at every baby I saw-thinking I might recognize her. As she grew I just adjusted for her age-and continued to look. Well, she was nearly 21 when we met at scout camp and as soon as she mentioned her upcomming birthdate and adoption I was "on it". So, don't give up....I love you, Anne. mom|

|Comments:||I lived at St. E's from Sept. 1964 until mid jan. 1965. I gave birth to my daughter on Jan. 1, 1965. St. E's was a wonderful, supportive environment. I remember Sister Anne and Sister Eulalia. I had wonderful, supportive friends at St. E's and would love to hear from them. I remember Bulah-she was my roommate. I was known as Cheryl at St. E's. My daughter and I were reunited 10 years ago. I actually found her several years before that but was afraid to approach her. I met her quite by accident. I had taken one of my daughters to girl scout camp and Anne happend to be one of the senior leaders at the camp. It was close to her birthday and we talked about her age, adoption and where she was born. All her information matched and I knew she was my daughter. But, I didn't have the courage to confront her then. Anyway, shes part of our family and we all love her dearly. We have 3 other daughters and a son-Anne, of course, is the oldest. After I had Anne-her name at St. E's was Deborah Anne-I was able to see her everyday in the nursery and even watched her Baptism. I held her and visited with her for an hour before I handed her over to her social worker. Those were the dark days-now we have each other and I cherish every moment. Good luck to all of you looking for your moms and to my fellow birthmothers I wish you the best. By the way, I read the Guest book and realized that some of you adoptees were born while I was at St. E's-but, I would only know your mothers St. E's names-not their real names. Luck and love to all of you.|

|Comments:||I was born in San Francisco, Ca. 6-19-1956, birth name Debbie Sue Edmonds. I was adopted through Contra Costa, Adoption agency, in Martinez. However, my amended birth certificate doesn't list a hospital. Just a Dr. R.W. Houg/Hoag as attending phycian. I have my adoption decree and non-id info. I have found out that my Birth mother gave me her full name. She was born in Ohio,1932, She had spent about 10mo's in the Marine Corp when she found out she was pregnant. She had been badly burnt as a child. she was the youngest living sibling of four. She also used the name of Debbie Sue Williams. I have reason to believe this was my birth fathers last name. He was also born in Ohio, 1932/33, and was a seaman(navy). Both had black hair, fair skin. She had hazel eyes, about 5'4", weighed 120/124, medium build. He had blue eyes, about 5'7", They apparently met in California. She had a fear of cars and driving. My adoptive dad died in 65, and my adoptive mother is now 76yrs old, she wants me to find my birth mother almost as much as I do. Just so she can say thank you. My birth mother was raised seventh day Adventist. I grew up knowing I was adopted, I was an only child, now I want to know if I have brothers and sisters. I have two grown sons, both look like me. Don't mean to cause any problems, just need to know.|
|Comments:||I was born at St. Elizabeths on 12-24-64. I was adopted through Contra Costa County by Dr. John Moore- a physician with 7 kids. I had a lawyer find the info from my original birth certificate, but I am not sure how correct it was. Birth name was: Ascella Carr, and mother's maiden name was Robinson. In the non-identifying information that I got from the adoption agency, it said that my mother had a sister, and my father had two brothers. It also said that both her father, and my father flew planes- not for a living, but for sport. I would love to meet either my birth motheror birth father. I think it would give me a lot of peace. But if that is not meant to be, then at least I hope they see this and can finally know that I had a nice upbringing, and was always well taken care of.|

My sister signed all the adoption papers as my parents were in Chicago where I was from. Her Name is Marilyn Murphy McDavitt she lived in Pacifica at the time. My house name was Grace. I named my baby Katherine, but I am not sure how I spelled it. I remember the sister asking if I knew that the spelling was not the norm so it could be different. I was very young and I have lost all of my past info and papers so I am not sure of the dates. I beleive date of birth was October, 1960 or possibly 1961. I am full Irish and the father was Polish. I would love to hear from her.

|Comments:||I have always wanted to find my birth parents, just to see... I was adopted through St. Elizabeth's in Indianapolis, IN and have done the "regular" things to begin my search like non-identifying information, health info, and registered for a match with the state of Indiana. I now have some interesting information, but no name for them, not even a DOB or home city. Where do I go from here? It would be appreciated if someone could share their opinion with me on what to do next. Thanks.|

|Comments:||Looking for any family members. It is urgent to me to talk to somebody about Medical History. Male Born on 6/6/68 at Mary's Help Hospital in Daly City, CA. I just want an e-mail or a phone call to answer medical questions, I have a daughter, she is sick and so many questions have arised, please if you have any information get in touch with me.|
|Comments:||I was born on 9/6/67 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. I would love to meet any member of my birth family and at the very least obtain some medical history. According to the court records my birth mother was born on 6/8/51 and birth father was born on 10/25/48. According to the "non-identifying" information, my birth mother at the time was 16, 5'5 3/4", 107 lbs, brown hair, bule eyes, fair complexion, attractive girl, and good in singing. I received some information from the County of San Mateo as they handeled my adoption. The Social Worker stated that my birth mother was born in Redwood City and was an "exceptionally lovely girl". Also that my birth father finacially supported my birth mother while at St. Elizabeth's on the salary he was earning working at a service station. Could just be a coincidence, but on Rootsweb I found a female born in San Francisco County on 9/6/67 birth name Christine Bickell and mother's name Tobler. And I found a female born in San Mateo County on 6/8/51 birth name Cynthia Tobler.
|Comments:||Born 5/21/67 at St. Elizabeth's in San Francisco. Baby boy ISO birth mother and father. She was 19 and he was 23 at the time of birth. My adoption family got a quick look at my file when no one was looking and they said my mother's maiden name was Reed. I looked at state records and found John Micheal Reed with same birthdate and file number as my adopted name.|
|Comments:||I was born 10/24/50 (the date may have been altered by a few days for adoption reasons) as Norma Patricia @11:54am at either St. Elizabeth's or Saint Mary's Help in San Francisco. My birth mother's name is Patti; birthfather - Norman. My last name possibly could have been Burroughs or Doran through some previous research I've already done. I was taken away from Patti @approximately 8 months old & fostered for approximately 2years by Edwin & Lillian Anderson of Redwood City, CA. After the 2 years, they formerly adopted me. I believe my heritage is primarily Irish. I had a maternal "Aunt Mabel", and Patti's neighbor's name was Olga Swenson, who was a school teacher in San Francisco. My primary purpose to find out information is for medical, genetic & possible genealogy reasons. My adoptive Mother is quite sensitive when I ask her direct questions about my heritage, and I would like to know.|

|Comments:||Iwas born on November 5, 1940 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in San Francisco. My birth mother was from San Carlos, Ca.,
19 years old and a student at Stanford. My birth father was an educator, married and was involved somehow with music.
My adoptive parents were at that time from Santa Clara, and
my mother came on her own to the hospital and took pity on
this infant with a displaced hip. The nuns treated me and
massaged hourly and whatever it was went back into place and I was released for adoption in about January 1941.
I think possible that this adoption may have taken place with the assistance of Father Ryan from St.Brigids in S.F.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

|Comments:||Update to my previous statement: Born 06/22/53 at St. Elizabeth's. I have obtained my original birth certificate. Bith mother signed her name as "BETTIE LAWRENCE"; age 23; birthpalce "Texas". Also on other bith records (non-identifying), my birth mother's name was listed as "LILLIAN".
I was never adopted, but my birth mother gave written permission to my birth father to take me from the home. Birth father is "ELIJAH CALDWELL" from Ohio. He is now 79 and doesn't remember much about her, as it was a brief affair while he was in the military. Her mother was alive and well according to other unidentifying info, but her father was killed in an accident a few years earlier. No mention of a brother or sister.
She would be about 71-72 years old and I am now 48 years old, and I need to tell her that I love her, forgive her, and want to help her if she needs help. God has been good to me all my life. She has a beautiful Son-In Law, 4 adult grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren that she needs to meet.
Thanks for any help and May God Bless!

University Hospital on 10-14-68. His birth name was
Clifford Daniel McCoy. He was placed through Catholic
chartities out of Santa Rosa, Ca and adoption was final 4-
72. Birth mother did not want to relinguish! She was forced
into the street's by a new husband that had abused my
brother so she would have no resources to take care of him
so far away from home. Our birth mother with three older
children and little education came back to OKC, OK and LOST
our brother. I'm not sure if they said she abandoned him or
what. I do know he was adopted by a couple that was born in
NY and had 2 natural children at time of adoption. Our
birth father knew nothing of the trouble untill months
later. Our birth mom was scared if she didn't come back to
Oklahoma she would also loose her other three children and
she didn't know what to do or where to go for help. Mom was
also afraid that her then husband would abuse her or my
sister's if she testified against him. I put this here in
hopes that if someone know's my brother or maybe he or his
family might run across this; they will contact me. I can
be emailed or snail mailed at "Resident" P.O. Box 396
