| Comments: | I just learned of Bud2's passing; I am stunned, and saddened; I met him in this room, and he was kind and often tried to joke with me; mostly when I was whining and stuck on petty stuff! My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. I will remember him. |

| Comments: | Dearest Bud, or should I say NotMY :-) That was our nickname for each other. I met Bud in Stepchat 5 yrs ago. He had an ex named Debbie and thought I may be her..hence the name NotMy was born. I'll never forget you. The news of your passing is a great shock to me, I can't believe your gone. Even tho you have passed on to next Highest level of your life, you're in my heart always.

| Comments: | Bud2 aka Terry was a real true friend. I met him in Stepchat, a room for alcoholism recovery chat about 6 years ago. I was struggling so. Sitting at computer and typing away, drinking and then vomiting. I remember when I first saw Bud2 come into the room. I thought at the time he was an arsehole. lol He was so full of recovery. Could quote the Big Book to my responses of denial. Made me so very very mad. But then something changed. I guess it was a God thing, cuz it certainly wasn't me. I started paying attention to what he was saying. I started questioning. I guess one day I was really struggling more so than usual and he asked me if I wanted a call. I couldn't believe that someone from the internet would want to call me. Just a screen name and words in a chatroom. I agreed and from that point on........Terry and I grew to have a great meaningful friendship that I believe is what AA was meant about.
I didn't stay sober unfortunately. I had to go make alot of other mistakes. The thing is though......Terry had planted the seed. I went away from the room for awhile. While I was away, I did get sober and worked the steps. I found a great sponsor, one that told me things as Terry did. So when I came back to the room and shared about my sobriety and recovery, Terry was over-joyed. And I knew, that everything he had told me b4, was true. You can make lasting friendships in the rooms of AA. Those rooms also include the rooms on the internet. I guess it wasn't until today when I heard the news of him passing that I hadn't really understood the meaning of those friendships. They are real, they are true and they shall last with me a lifetime. Thank you God for giving me the opportunity to know Terry aka Bud2. He was and will always be a great gift in my life of sobriety and recovery. RedRitz |
