My family bought Samson from you close to 5 years ago. July 8 is his birthday. His parents were Gloliath and Belle. Sorry to hear about his dad's passing; but ce'st la vie right? Anyway Samson is a great dog!! He's highly intelligent, obidient for the the most part, and friendly to everybody he meets. He weighs 220lbs and looks great with a nice shiny coat and all the right physical features. He barks at people walking past our property and likes to swim. He also tries to rescue us when we swim!! He likes to dive for rocks in shallow water also, first he feels around for loose ones, then he grabs them and brings them up on shore. That's all I can think to write. Bye, Stephan Reichelt |

Christine in 2005, and will be performed by Dr. Schultz. The University of Wisconsin has waived its 48% overhead fee for the studies. The concurrent challenge studies will determine the duration of immunity conveyed by the canine rabies vaccine, with the goal of extending the state-mandated interval for boosters to 5, and then to 7 years. According to Dr. Dodds, “This is one of the most important projects in veterinary medicine. It will benefit all dogs by providing evidence that protection from rabies vaccination lasts at least 5 years, thereby avoiding unnecessary revaccination with its attendant risk of debilitating adverse reactions. " Scientific data indicate that vaccinating dogs against rabies every three years, as most states require, is unnecessary. Studies have shown the duration of protective immunity as measured by serum antibody titers against rabies virus to persist for seven years post-vaccination, and results of a 1992 French challenge study led by Michel Aubert demonstrated dogs were immune to rabies five years after vaccination. Researchers believe the rabies vaccine causes the most and worst adverse reactions in animals and concur that it should not be given more often than necessary to maintain immunity. Adverse reactions to rabies vaccination can include autoimmune diseases affecting the thyroid, joints, blood, eyes, skin, kidney, liver, bowel and central nervous system; anaphylactic shock; aggression; seizures; epilepsy; and fibrosarcomas at injection sites. Dr. Schultz states “[s]howing that a vaccine for rabies can provide 5 or preferably 7 years of immunity would have great significance not only in controlling rabies but more importantly in reducing the adverse vaccine reactions that can occur in dogs and cats after vaccination." | Comments: | We aquired our first rottweiler just 6 short months ago from Jackie. When we brought little Sampson home at 6weeks old, he weighed 13.5pounds - a good chunk of a puppy. Now....6 months later, he is a booming 100 pounds, handsome, muscular and smart. I am amazed at his intelligence and his faithfulness to his family. Our dog has been a joy to us all. He even has his own song that my children sing to him while they rub his tummy - it's called "Sammy, Sammy-Wammy". Sampson has been a gentle giant with all children big and small. Sampson has been the best family dog we have ever owned and we look forward to many years with him.

"Lexus", came from a couple who had split up and could not take her with them, after "babysitting" for about 1 month, I knew I couldn't be without her for a day. A year later came my boy "Tazzy". He went through a few homes prior to living with me, his owner was in a car accident and couldn't look after him. He was passed through one or two family members before I got him. I was worried about what it would do to his attitude, but he settled right in and made himself at home. Must have known he wasn't going anywhere else!I love both my "kids" and can't imagine having any other breed. |
