//http://www.sar.org/esssar I am currently helping a gentleman with his membership requirements for the Sons of the American Revolution Society. We are descendants of those Patriots who served in the Revolutionary War. This gentleman has provided me with a copy of his G Grandfather's Baptismal record but the mother's MAiden name is illegible. Would you have a clearer, more legible writing of her name? The record I have is as follows; ALFRED BARCLAY Born: 13 May 1897 Baptized: 24 Aug 1897 Father: David Mother: Rose Mc ???? Thank you for your time and attention in this matter, I remain... Respectfully, William J. Woodworth, President Empire State Society, SAR |

| I have sung here with the Glenn Mohr Chorale. This church is by far the most beautiful in NYC, rivaling St. Patrick's....Having been to many countries around the world, I can honestly say, it ranks up there with the great Cathedrals for the beauty of the stonework alone. One cannot help feel closer to God in such an edifice built for his glory!! |

| I attended St. Augustine School from 1959 to 1964 and used to love to go there. The Faculty and Staff were always very nice, and they were some of the best teachers, both morally and educationally. When we moved away from the area in 1964 I was enrolled in public school, and I noticed something right away. The education that I received early at St. Augustine was far better than what I received in public school. My reading and writing were at least 2 years ahead. I am planning a trip back to St. Augustine sometime early next year, and am looking forward to seeing it again. It's been over 4o years since I have been there. My brother, sister and I were baptized there, and I received First Communion there also. Additionally, My Father and Mother were married there. Needles to say, the church has meant a lot to me over the years. |

| Our names are Chad and Stacy Delaney. We have 3 sons. Last year on 9-10-07 our middle son Nathanual Delaney was Dx. with a Brain Tumor. About 2 weeks after his 4th Birthday. He underwent Brain Surgery on 9-11-07, after he recovered from that he completed 6 weeks of Radiation, then he started 4 rounds of heavy Chemo and 4 stem cell transplants. We were in the hospital for 4 months during the transplants. He was discharged from the hospital on April 11th, 2008. We had clean MRI's since April until now. On 9-11-08 Nathanual had his 3 month MRI which showed that the cancer is back this time in his spine. We were told that are son had 3 months, However that is not acceptable to us. Nathanual is such a wonderful young man that we truly believe has a lot to do and offer. Nathanual has beat the odds before and he is going to win this battle as well. WE TRULY BELIEVE THAT GOD STILL PERFORMS MIRACLES AND HE IS GOING TO HELP NATHANUAL. While we are ready to fight again we need all the prayers we can get. Nathanual is a fighter and a winner. We live in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. I believe GOD helped lead us to you to help us PRAY FOR NATHANUAL. Please put him on your prayer chain and please tell as many people as you can about this wonderful little boy - he is amazing. Nathanual is scheduled to have surgery on his spine this Tues. 9-23-08 and will begin a new chemo tx on 9-29-08. We are not giving up on our son. Please help us by praying for him and passing on the word. If you would like anymore info about Nathanual please contact us our email is csjn@cableone.net. Cell phone # is 580-628-7139 or 580-628-7276. Nathanual's older brother is Jakeual Delaney he is 16, His younger brother is Zekeual Delaney he is 2, he will turn 3 in November. Nathanual is 5 his birthday is Aug. 28th. Nathanual is very close to both his brothers, this is extremely hard on Jakeual he is a Junior this year and is putting allot of his own activities on hold to help Nathanual. Zeke and Nathanual have almost a twin bond - they are very close. I could go on and on, I am sorry for taking up so much of your time but I do really appreciate you taking your time to read this and would like to thank you for your prayers. GOD WILL SEE HIM THROUGH THIS. NATHANUAL WILL BE A WINNER. Nathanual will be out playing baseball next summer - that is what he wants to do. We live right across from some baseball fields and everytime they are out playing Nathanual says he wants to play with them next summer. Thank You, The Delaney Family - Chad, Stacy, Jakeual (Jake), Nathanual, and Zekeual (Zeke) |

| I attended St' Augustine's school from 1960-1964 - I remember receiving my first Holy Communion there. The church was always beautiful, and from the recent pictures I've seen I am happy to see it the same way I remeber it. It is still one of the most beautiful churches I have ever been in. I used to love attending Mass ther. My Mother and Father were married there, and all my brothers and sisters were babtized in the church. I live in Florida now, but used to live on Douglas St as a child. This church has left a wonderful impression on me, and it's striking beauty can only be a work of Divine Influence. I hope I can visit St. Augustine's sometime soon. |

| Catholic Advocacy in accord with the Decree on Ecumenism Unitatis Redintegratio This is an invitation to choose pro-life right away. (less then 2 min.) (cf. Mt 7::14: “The road is narrow” and “few there are that find it!”) Your action and many others will stop the bill called the Freedom of Choice Act. The object that I speak of is a telephone voicemail petition for EVERYONE to place thy 10 digit phone number at the care of world harvest church in Columbus , Ohio . Act fast this bill is hot and fast! This process that I speak should take less then 2 min. It will ask for a donation to finance the petition and then it will ask again to help their church. The option to say no to a donation is painless and non-personal. The speech is joyful. You should not have a problem. You can also go online at www.rodparsley.com The petition is on the home page –this page scrolls through 4 different appearances- the first one is the correct link and the link is visible at almost half the screen of the PC. To the Holy names of Jesus and Mary. ps- Many of those, those we uphold as the Fathers of the Church have taught that Jesus taught that few go to heaven. And so, when we are sad about God’s salvation we always can have recourse to Our Lady, AND the Divine Mercy message given to St. Faustina. Right! Let's struggle. |

| I was born in 1936 and baptized at St. Augustine's. My family lived with our Grandfather Timothy Moran at 54 Sterling Place. I can remember having to go to the corner of Sterling Place & 6th Avenue to cross at the light in order to not have the Sisters of St. Joseph take me to task. I remember Fathers Scott, McNamara, Tilley. I was an altar boy and remember the organist named Cangelosi. This church holds many fond memories that have not dwindled over my 70 years on this earth. I now reside in Virginia and have never lost my "Brooklyn accent". I look forward to seeing the history portion of this website some day. |

| To all associated with this wonderful church,I wish a very loving, great New Year. To Father Bob: I am forever thankful for a deeply emotional conversation I had with you some time ago. It was certainly a big factor in my life. There is no question life is difficult. But when you allow God in your life in a real way, the impossible no longer seems that way. And to a wonderful person whom has an association with this church, Lilian Davila, a person I will always love. A person I hurt and chased away many years ago due to my deep personal problems, low self-esteem and extreme fears of love. A person so ahead of me in every important aspect of life in younger days. A woman I am deeply thankful to for being a part of my life despite my personal failings as a young man. A very lovely, classy woman whom has had a great impact on my life. No matter how much personal circumstances may change or no matter how many years may pass, there is always tremendous pain in hurting someone you love. May it be in her heart to grant me forgiveness one day. With deep love and respect always. Sincerely, Bob macron |

//http://www.warneveryone.com ost men will proclaim each his own goodness. In fact, Proverbs 21:2 declares "Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the ... all » LORD pondereth the hearts." Though most people believe they are heaven bound, what exactly is heaven's standard for good, moral, and righteous enough to enter? Who is righteous enough to enter? God has not left us in the dark -- His Law (the Ten Commandants) reveals the standard we must meet. In fact, we are told that the Law of the Lord is perfect, holy, just, and good. God has even revealed His Law to every human heart (Romans 2:15). Nevertheless, the law cannot save us: "...by the deeds of the law there shall be no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin" (Romans 3:20). This concise video questions dozens of people and illuminates their "goodness" from God's perspective. With powerful animations and convicting visuals, The Good Test uncovers humanity's heart condition. Most importantly, it makes known the awesome hope that is available to all. How will you stack up on Judgment Day? Take The Good Test and decide for yourself. jtetlow1@rochester.rr.com. 877-370-7770 « |

//Ken Hood Hi, I attended St.A's grammar school from 1966-1970, did'nt graduate, moved out of the neighborhood. My older brother and sister as well as my younger brother also attended. Was baptised there as well as received first communion. I still have fond memories of some of my teachers, Sister Thomasina, Ms.Piccarelli, Mrs.Powers, We lived on Douglass St. and my mother (who also attended the school, received all of the sacraments there as well as being married there)worked at the A&P on 5th avenue. I'd like to know if there is an alumni association, would also like to hear from anyone who remembers me. Ken |

| My brother and I went to St. Augustine grammar school. He was fortunate to have graduated from there in 1975 but my parents decided to move out of the neighborhood and I never had the pleasure to graduate from there. I loved all the teachers, priests and my friends. I recently drove by the church and it is as glorious as ever. I want to go back and this time go inside of the church but more than anything I want to take a tour of the school. I know its closed but that school will always have a special place in my heart. God bless St. Augustine! |

| I work nearby at the New York State office bldg at 55 Hanson Place and found your church during one of my recent walks around the church. It's really beautiful!!!! I was there today during lunch. Thank you so much for having the Blessed Sacrement exposed. I was able to spend some quiet time before Our Lord. I was wondering if you ever thought of adding a daily mass for lunch time for those of us who work in the neighborhood and would like to attend daily mass? |
