Comments:I love your brindle females. I just lost my baby girl to osteosarcoma yesterday. I'm looking to get another mastiff, but I need time to cope w/ her loss. She was a big beautiful brindle girl at 240 lbs. her 4th b-day would be on may 4th. Looking at your girls remind me of her. I'm just checking out different breeders at the moment. K

It is the owner & dog that suffer due to breeders who are not forthcoming with health problems. THANK YOU! Lerene

Comments:As Jen is getting ready for two more litters, I feel compelled to give you, the prospective buyers, some information on her and her dogs. I purchased a puppy from Jen in March 2004. As I had only owned small dogs in the past, my large breed knowledge was limited to the internet. I was torn between a mastiff and a great dane. Needless to say, I went for the mastiff. We have had Bandit now for two years, and raised him by the book - because there is no room for error with a 200lb dog, so if you have a chewing problem, it won't be the legs of your furniture, but your entire couch. Well - he turn out perfectly. So, feeling that we could handle the training aspect because we have the perfect dog, we bought the great dane next. Wow - what a difference. As this great dane makes me absolutely crazy, I will not give her up, but I will not own any other breed either. We bought the great dane from a "rescue" on the other side of the state. Day and night - what a difference - this owner is a pain in the .... Not only is she unprofessional, she is uncaring about the puppies she places, never once has she inquired about the puppy she placed with us. Jen is the exact opposite - I have never dealt with anyone (in the dog industry) more caring and professional. Neither my husband or myself will buy any other breed than the mastiff or from any other breeder than Jen. Good luck to all of you with your puppies, they are by far the best breed of dog on this planet! Feel free to contact me for a reference of Jen.

Comments:Love your stories and pictures. I myself have two mastiffs, a little briddle girl and a little fawn boy. I was going to have puppies with them in a few years, but he has been diagnosised with elbow displacia. I'm just checking out breeders to see if I can find a reputable one or two. We still haven't decided if we want to purchase another male(I would but the husband isn't quite sure yet) or find one to use as a stud. My babies have become my life now that my children are grown and gone. Thank you again for your stories. God Bless, Terri

We have become completely attached to our english you met today, and before getting another we want to talk to someone like you before getting a companion for our "little girl". Of course questions on both our side and yours would need answers to complete satisfaction before going fwd. We have some info on you but you have none on us, so please feel free to contact us either by e-mail or by the phone # I left on your answering service. There is not an immediate rush because this is a lot of time to commit and we want to make sure that we have enough to give correctly. Best wishes , Chris and Melanie Demey

Comments:MOM! I dont even know where to start. I love you so much. Im so glad to have a mom like you, someone who puts everything before herself, one being your dogs. I know and I think by the way you told "your story" its not hard to see that you love you dogs dearly. If only everyone can see the TIME and EFFORT you put in to your Mastiffs 24/7. Sometimes i think we should just build you a kennel right next to Atheana, and you would be just as happy sleeping in your bed next to dad. lol If dogs could talk i garentee that they would say your the best! You try so hard and you never give yourself enough credit for what you do. Your dogs LOVE you. and I know and the rest of your family knows how much you do for your dogs. Breeding in your eyes isnt a game, and its not a compitition, you do it for the love, and you do it to make beautiful dogs. Im glad to read that everyone enjoys your story and your ethics. I know how much u read about mastiffs and im SO VERY glad that its paying off and to read what people have to say. I'm also very proud of your bravery, how you told the truth, being with tyches litter. You know you have all of my support. I love you mom and keep up your hard work. It will pay off. XOXO

Comments:CONGRATULATIONS on your bravery in telling your story! I have so much respect for you! I have been lucky enough not to have experienced seizures with my mastiffs, but was able to empathize with you through your journal entries. Thank you for sharing such an intimate look into your life. I too plan to breed my girl and have been looking for just the right stud dog. How scary to think that epilepsy could be so haunting. Unlike PRA, it is violent and painful for all involved. Hopefully, we will be able to locate the marker for it as we did with PRA and breed it out of our lines! Last year I swabbed my dogs and now I am truly glad I did. Again, thank you for sharing your story and best of luck to you in the future...you deserve better next time. Jenny

Comments:I just love seeing other didicated Mastiff owners. Our family consists of myself, and my husband, our two children (9&2), two cats, a chihuahua, and our 8-month-old 155lbs. Fila Brasilero Mastiff, Stanley. I can't believe how big and FAST they grow. I am so sorry to hear of your loss and that of your pups. I wish you all the best and I just love your pictures. Actually, your Thea, looks much like our Stanley. I just adore that beautiful reddish-fawn and blackish face. They truely are amazing animals. People still ask us what kind of dog he is and I just love seeing their faces when we tell them. This breed seems to know they're own strength unlike many other giant-breed dogs. Stanley plays with our children much more gentle than he plays (wrestles) with us. He sleeps every night with his "baby brother" our 4 month old Chihuahua by his side. I'm so proud to say that we own one of the biggest dogs in the world and also one of the smallest. Mastiffs are truely amazing animals. Their strength, their love, their affection, and their droopy faces and ears, and of course, those big, beautiful, sad eyes. And I must add, what an awesome guard dog. You'd have to be a complete idiot to enter this house at night!! We have had some vandilisim in this neighborhood lately, but I have to say, no one has come near this house. Again...Thank you for sharing your babies. I just love to see more of these sweet animals out there. Sincerely, Heather Lopez and Family
