I don't know how anyone can even compare Kasey Chambers to someone like Kylie, Kylie's not an artist.. just a performer.Kasey and Catherine Britt are my favourite artists right now and have been since i heard of them. There are more but these two are the ones that have really inspired me. I only started singing and playing guitar a couple of years ago but Kasey is what made me turn to country music. | Comments: | I often wonder if Kasey understands the impact that her music has on people's lives. I can only really speak for myself - and I know that Kasey's music has truly become an inspiration to my life. A day doesn't pass that I don't listen to her incredible words or find myself singing them. The talent of Kasey Chambers is something that is enormous yet still growing.
Kasey, you are an incredible human being. I have never encountered a musician who deserves their success in the way that you truly do. It is wonderful to see that your gorgeous nature has not been affected by your level of success. I will never forget the night that you played in Maitland whilst you were touring in 2001. My friend & I sat close to the front and sang along to most of your songs. It was the day before Barricades & Brickwalls was released - so we didnt have the album - but had already learned the lyrics to Runaway Train, Ignorance etc from the singles!!!!! You seemed to be surprised that we knew these songs....but that's an indication of who you are - an unassuming, beautiful-natured artist who I'm sure will never fully comprehend the way that your music literally changes lives. It is wonderful to see your popularity growing and more people being exposed to your brilliance. Last year, I asked Karen who runs karaoke at Maitland Brewery to obtain some of your songs. She managed to get The Captain for me (sorry, I don't do it justice!) and later got "Cry Like A Baby" for me. People would often ask who the artist was - and I enthusiastically filled them in on the extraordinary Kasey Chambers!!!! You should visit this pub one Sunday afternoon. Every third song performed is one of yours!!!! I wish you all the best Kasey and congratulate you on your achievements - (Talon & Cori being the greatest of them, of course!)I encourage you to tour again the country areas, whose fans brought you the exposure that you have today. I hope to see you back at Maitland or Hexham some time (I've fond memories of a surprise visit at Hexham one night whilst you were babysitting for Beccy Cole!!!!) kasey, Friday October 25th 2002 would have to have been the best night of my life!!! MY friend and I waited outside for you to come out from your concert (which was just amazing) for an hour an a half just to see you. You were finally going to come out, the security guards told us that we were aloud to take pictures but you wern't going to stop. Well they were wrong, You stopped.. you said hello to us, you signed our ticket and even let us take a photo with you. Unfortunately my film ran out. You were just as upset as we were. We'll never forget that night. You're such a sweet person and you made our night.You (well your driver) even gave us a beep of the horn as you drove off. | Comments: | i went to Kasey's concert on the 23rd of october at llwellyn Hall in Canberra....and had been counting down the sleeps with my friends from the day we purchased the tickets 3 months before.
finally the night came, and we made the most of it. had dinner together, and headed to the concert venue. we stoped off to buy some flowers(pink roses) for kasey...and got totally lost, due to removations of the shopping complex....and totalluy freaked out we'd miss the start...but with the foot flat to the floor, we made it with plenty of time to spare!!! the concert was amazing, kasey is so innocent and beautiful... we gave her the flowers and she seemd to like them, well we hope...we even wrote our names on them so she knew is was from us! My friend sara, who also came to the concert, recently got her licence and she would play Kasey non stop at full volume, with all windows down, and of course i got hooked! i just love all her music, and play it non stop! we even had it sooo loud someone from the footpath ran over to us at the traffic lights and yelled"are you going to the concert" and we all screamed"yeeeeeesssss" and made all heads turn....and no one went when the light went green, because they were all looking at us! but kasey was great, i want to go again...the "hes my hunny" song is cool too... luv ya kase! |

My Dad said Kasey has BIG boobs and she is even bigger than my mummy. My mum is having a baby next year. I hope she can still play guitar.But I always have to tell her "Enough no singing". She is always singing and I'm only learning how to. "True Colours" is pretty cool though. Even when Mum sings it I like it.
